Who can play?
Any dreamer may play. I suggest you learn dream control at the level where you can teleport/dream travel at will to any location on Earth first. You do not have to be lucid to play.

What is a Shared Dream RPG?
This is a role playing game modeled after MMORPG's where your character has a home. The way it works is you incubate your tasks during the day, just like the Task of the Month, and try to do it in your dream. Then you write it down the next morning and publish it to your DJ. You will be awarded titles as you complete quests. More importantly you will cumulatively build your character, as you modify and decorate your dwelling, which will increase the bond to the place, and increase time dilation. The eventual goal is to induce serial group shared dreaming by people going to the same place over and over again.

Where is the game played on the Dream Plane?
The game is on Dream Earth, where you probably have most of your dreams, which some call Urth. The hub of the game is Lucid City, Neo-Honolulu which is on the island of Oahu in the Pacific Ocean. All quests begin in Lucid City.

When?
You can move into Lucid City whenever you want, which is your first quest. I will be posting Quests in the Dreamwalker Forum. For access, send me a PM.

Why?
For epic fun.

How can I do this?
The game will be easy at first, and as you increase your skills, you will have more and more challenging tasks. Incubate the dreams while you are awake, and you will eventually dream of Lucid City.

What are the unique features of the game?

-it's a game you play 100% in your dreams.

your own home in Lucid City you return to dream after dream.

-unique profession/classes/races

-power restriction. For those dreamers with godlike powers, you will confine your powers to a set of rules in order to make the game feel more "real." Example, if you want to become a baker, Instead of simply summoning bread and handing it to people, you will actually grow wheat, harvest it, process it, bake it, set up a shop, and serve it. This could take a series of dreams to do. This will increase your sense of touch, taste, and smell in dreams, which makes it feel more real, and helps you stay in the dream longer.

-unique professions. In Lucid City, at it's inception, there will be only one dreamer that can be the Barkeep, only one that can be the Baker, only one Blacksmith, Only one Steedmaster, for example. So, if you are the Barista, for example, you try to stay in the bar in your dream as long as you can when you do your Profession Quests, and hopefully other dreamers will stop in for a coffee or Lucidi-Tea, and you will be there serving them.

-time dilation through the "do nothing" technique. You know when your friend asks you what you did yesterday, and you say, "Nothing." Doing such in your dreams will help you stay in one play for a long time, which will dilate dream time, and increase the chance of shared dreaming.

Learning Curve For beginner dreamers, I am making this as easy as possible to begin playing the game. You will learn basic skills and meet your dream guide. As your skills increase, you will continue to be challenged as you gain power.

Pet Classes!:
Familiars A small beast you will tame that will fight by your side, such as a wolf, hawk, cockatrice, or goat.

Automatons A mechanical creation that runs on steam with a clocklike brain that will fight by your side.

Steeds You will tame a steed to ride such as a horse, bear, zebra, dragon, or giant rabbit.

Spaceships Everyone may do a spaceship quests which is great for protecting oneself from dream parasites as you travel through wormholes, and for traveling to other planets.

"Hanging Out" in dreams We will create dream hangouts such as coffeeshops, tea houses, bars, dance clubs to increase the chance of shared dreaming.

Events Seasonal and Monthly events will stimulate your imagination and help incubate the dream.

Religion You may choose a religion in Lucid City, and create a temple for your religion if there is not one there, even becoming a priest of your faith. At the moment there is a Temple of Gawn unto Gawn, the Dream Warrior Master, and a Temple of Khaos, unto Eris in Lucid City.

In-Dream Meditation You will meditate in front of your Dream Shrine you create in your apartment. This will increase time dilation, and increase the chance of you meeting your dream guide.

Serial Dreaming There will be an ongoing storyline played out in your dreams.

Persistent World Lucid City and Urth exist whether we are asleep or awake!

EPIC FUN I wholeheartedly believe that people will eventually have shared dreams after playing this game for awhile.
