To all people having had several Out of body experiences - Questions

Hello all

How are you?

I don't want to put any one down or put someone higher up, but I have a question in regards to OBE, that I hope people with a lot of experience in this particularly field can shed some light on.
The more in-depth, and more "to the point" the better, for me.

If anyone want to help me out I'd highly appreciate it:

1) Because as we mature and grow older, we also gain a higher perspective on how the world is, we learn how to ask questions we can debate, and see things differently. So for someone to use big words, and tell about their experiences in a book is of course possible now that we are older. I do not doubt authors of these books own experiences, but as Tom Campbell said "Have an open mind, but be skeptical, until it is your own experience, you should not believe it whole hearted" (Something along those lines) We start with asking questions again, like we did as a young boy or girl. Man's greatest mystery: "What's the point of life"? "Why am I here?" "What am I supposed to do here?" I guess it all comes down to learning, trust that everything you learn, everything you experience is the pure reason for the human experience. And you carry this with you.

I've have several books on the OBE / Astral Projection topic, ranging from Louis Minero - William Buhlman, and of course Robert Monroe, amongst others.
I have not yet had my own OBE, (been close) so I understand why the authors says "Don't believe in anything, have your own experiences, that way you will know for yourself"
However there seem to be something that goes through like a red line through every book, every statement, in essence, "...we survive psychical death, we continue as the consciousness we are"
There is one thing that I just can not wrap my head around and understand:
Learning about this at say age 18 or age 50 is easy because we understand the words, we can "get it", and imagine or understand what is being said or what we read.
But here is the thing I don't understand: When then, does consciousness enter the infant, or in other words, how does it enter into the little baby that is soon being brought into the world?
I might have missed something. Have anyone read anything about this, what do you think? Non of the authors seem to make any statements about this, and IMO, this has to be the starting point!?

English is not my native language so I pardon if I don't make it clear somewhere, feel free to just ask "What do you mean by this or that"

Though I've had many of what would be termed here as OBE's, I frankly think they're pretty dull events and am not a fan. So I probably won't be much help; but:

This is a very good question, and one based on an excellent premise if I understand you correctly. Though I personally believe that the infant's developing brain establishes consciousness on its own (and I also personally like to believe that consciousness might survive death, which I do not think is contradictory), I think that if one believes that consciousness is an eternal state that moves from a dying person to a living person (aka, reincarnation), and can move briefly from a living body (OBE), then the mechanics or metaphysics behind that movement would be a question that ought to be considered by OBE'ers at least once.

As you noticed, it seems that the books consistently just say "It happens because it happens," or perhaps that humans just aren't advanced enough to understand the "How's" and "Why's" of this, but to me those are dodges. To not answer a fundamental question about the nature of the subject of your book seems a bit disingenuous.

Though I did present a wild and crazy postulation about how shared dreaming once (in this thread) that answers a similar question, I have no answers or theories about this myself. I did figure the question deserved a response, though, and hope that those who have theories (hopefully other than "It does because it does") might chime in with their thoughts.

My limited knowledge of this topic comes from channelings by others, mainly Ashayana Deane and Magenta Pixie. According to Ashayana Deane and the 'guardians,' fetal integration takes place at close to the third month following conception. Magenta Pixie has an answer which I resonate a bit more closely with, and that is that consciousness appears at conception. Though the white-winged collective of nine via Magenta Pixie don't say this precisely (they say as consciousness appears at conception, this means the soul is present also), W. Buhlman, by means of his own experiences, states that individuals are part of a soul- each of us not a representation of one complete soul, which is quite a powerful energy. So, in a sense, this concurs with the WWCoN. Consciousness is not complete at conception though- it develops as the fetus grows, and becomes self-aware at birth. Miscarriages, abortions, etc. - the individual consciousness continues to develop- but in another locale/dimension/frequency, etc. This is a variable situation depending on intentions, soul contracts, etc., etc., - some might call it karma. Anyway I hope that helps with your understanding.
