I believe dreams are highly creative and are the epitome of imaginative thought. I don't believe that they predict the future in the sense that they are a soothsayer of sorts. They merely show us the preconfigured possibilities that have always existed and will always be. It just so happens that sometimes these occurrences really do occur, and so appear to offer foresight into what will happen next. Really though, it's all a clever holographic superposition of what can be but has not actually happened. A listing of all the possible outcomes. Naturally, some of these outcomes will be what really happens. |

I recently had a sort of similar experience, involving an ex-girlfriend that I hadn't seen in a while. One day when I was napping, I had a relatively mundane dream about her. She was getting ready and so forth--putting on make-up, brewing tea etc... but then she picked up her cell phone and dialed. Suddenly, I woke up, and my own phone was ringing. It was her. |
