WILD Buzzing/Electricity-like Noises distorted the surrounding voices

Several years ago I was falling asleep on my desk at school and experienced the feeling of the WILD transition stage. I heard a loud deep buzzing/humming topped by wild electric noises. The electric noises were generally high-pitched but the pitch varied; they reminded me very much of the sound made by the theremin that Jimmy Page plays except they didn't scream so intensely or thump, it was more the gradual wailing and receding thing. I haven't been registered for 3 days yet, so I can't post a link to the video, but if you type in "jimmy page theremin" on youtube it's the very first video. I kind of suddenly realized these noises were happening as I was laying forward on my desk and was shocked and afraid at first. Then I told myself, "This is just something my mind is doing," and I started to just experience it. I noticed that I could still hear the people around me talking and their voices were distorted greatly by the noises I was hearing. Their voices seemed robotic, almost auto-tuned, but even more electronic. My body was heavy and warm, slightly tingly. I tried to move and couldn't at first, then slowly gained control of my fingers and then the rest of my body. When I finally sat up the noises were gone and people's voices were back to normal. They were carrying on the same conversations, so I know the robotic voices I was hearing were not mere manifestations of my mind. The robotic-sounding voices are what most intrigued me about the experience. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this and/or if anyone had any thoughts about it. The electric noises happen to me all the time too... the buzzing is extremely high-pitched. Not sure about the robotic voices, but i have experienced this indeed. What I did is to focus on making the noise even louder to a point that I would not hear anything else... but a super high-pitched buzzing noise. After that, I astral projected and left my body We know nothing about the mind, those robotic voices might have been either hypnagogic hallucinations or you might have picked up beings from other planes of existence, which is likely to happen at that state.

Very awesome about the astral projection! I do believe it is possible to pick up the voices of other beings from other planes, but I know that was not the case in this instance. Only because I could tell the conversations I heard were those of the people around me. The topic and location of the voices were the same during and after my strange state, and as I was transitioning out of it. Only the robotic effects faded away as I emerged from it. I just never knew the sounds of that state could put a filter on noises pre-existing in the waking surroundings.

Yeah it´s trippy i usually hear these keyboard like sounds after long WILD sessions, but it´s always unpredictable. The transition stage is really cool. Other interesting experiences i've had are vortexes, a rush parade of faces and geometric forms, a creepy woman scream...

Once, about 6 years or so ago when I was first getting deeper into the dream world, I heard what sounded like a small plastic bag rustling really hard and I imagined there was something thrashing around in the little trashcan I had in my bedroom at the time, really freaked me out then lol

Transinsions to dream usually have really weird sounds with it. I myself only have heard this strong wind and buzzing noise but never anything electrical.

Yep, I have occasionally had moments right upon falling asleep where I'd briefly hear distorted versions of what I was hearing in real life, affected by other noise coming in into the sleep state. Sometimes I also have dreams where I apparently continue to hear what's going on around me in real life while the dream provides its own visuals and other senses.
