What defines real? Something you can touch? See? Hear? Smell? Taste? If something is called "real" because it stimulates all 5 senses (and possibly others,) then why aren't dreams viewed as "real" by so many people? Some of the most realistic experiences I've had were in dreams! |

Dreams are as real as you believe them to be. They do not affect other people, but often neither do your thoughts or actions out of their premises. It's illogical to argue otherwise. There is no means to prove it otherwise, neither wrong nor right. It is something that cannot be falsified therefore is beyond the scientific method or scientific interest, scientifically anyone worth their salt (speaking in scientific terms) could not and would not claim otherwise. If your dream is real to you, it is real. |

I've asked people in my dreams for some guidance on this and the one time I got a response that kind of blew me away he said " well, they still have value anyways right?" I woke up thinking about that and had to agree, yeah they definitely have value whether I can prove they are "real" or not. |
