I have had about 4 or 5 dreams where something happened in the dream and than in real life it happened. Now I know I sound crazy but for real this happened. |

I tend to believe in these types of dreams. |

No one can say for sure whether these sorts of things are prophecy or coincidence, but you always need to be cautious of confirmation bias. Do you ever dream of things that don't end up happening and does that disprove that your dreams predict the future? I'm betting you just cherry pick the ones that produce a positive result. If half your dreams end up resembling events that then occur later in your waking life, then it might be something you want to look out for, but if it's only one or two every few years, confirmation bias is the likely cause. |

I too believe in future precognition in dreams or OBE... only it is hard to prove it, because you don't know it was a prediction before things (starts to) happen. |

SaMaster14 that is awesome about your dreamgood for you |

Yes, but if the majority of your dreams were representative of things that occurred in the future that would mean they were more likely to actually be prophetic. We all have multiple dreams per night, and if you take all of your dreams over the course of a long enough period, you're bound to dream of something that will end up happening merely out of chance. Could they be prophetic? Possibly, but there is likely a simpler answer. On numerous occasions I've been thinking of a song and then it came on the radio? Does this mean I can predict what songs will be on the radio? Maybe, but it's more likely that I simply don't pay any attention when I'm thinking of a song and it doesn't come on, I only notice it when it does. |

Well... dream is not simple thing. There is so much imagination in it, that if there is vestige of truth, it is very well hidden. |

what is the likelihood of someone having a dream with specific things happening to them and then them happen in real life with the details perfectly matching in the dream I had with my science class there is no self prophecy in there because I can't choose the people in my class and what is the odds that we were all in that class for that one dream perfectly in place what is the odds of that happening |

Depending on the size of your town/school somewhere between very likely and fairly unlikely? That's ultimately something you're going to have to answer for yourself, I just recommend you be mindful and discerning while doing so. Even things that are quite unlikely will tend to occur given enough opportunities. It's not likely to flip a coin and have it land on heads 10 times in a row, but if I do this 10,000 times, it more than likely will occur at some point. If you're having multiple dreams per night and waiting years for the events of one of them to transpire, that's likely to happen at some point, I think if anything the curious part is that you remembered what sounds like a fairly mundane dream for such a long time until something resembling it occurred. Why do you think that is, and are you certain that you remembered the details of a dream perfectly for two years? |

I can see how anyone would be skeptical. If I read my own posts, I'd think I were smoking something. |

One time is enough... |

I've also had dreams that predicted the future. One about school kind of like yours, in fact! I just graduated high school, but several years ago back when I was in elementary school I dreamed I was sitting in some lunchroom looking at teachers. Well later on when I got to middle school one day I was randomly sitting and I was staring at my teachers. One of their shirts stood out to me like in the dream, and I remembered that dream from years ago. I've also dreamed of visiting places I've never seen before and then actually finding myself there later on. Just random things, you know. And there was one time an image flashed before my mind while I was awake and a few seconds later that very thing happened. |

Where there's tea, there's hope.
Virtual there are over a thousand people at my high school and not everyone had to take the class that I was in so there was An even more likelihood that these kids weren't even going to be in my class. And I know it sounds weird but to me the things that don't stick out is what I remember the most I remember a lot of random things.actually my mom tells me that I have a bunch of random stupid facts in my head so even if I have to wait a hundred years for a dream to come true to me it's still predicting the future because the odds of this all happening in the life where billions and trillions of things are possible each day the one chance of it happening to me is crazy enough to make me believe that it's a prediction of the future. |

I used to have some dreams like this. They would come true 1-3 months after the dream happened. Normally nothing big. One was about my uncle telling us a new joke and when he started to say it I finished it for him and said that I had a dream of it a month ago. The last one I had someone in my school club got hit by a car. I told the dreams to stop and haven't had another one like that since. |

The main part of controlling nightmares it to kick logic out and make the impossible possible.
Have you ever heard of the Mothman Prophecies? Where a mothman figure shows up in a location months before a major disaster occurs? |
