I wish I could have your problem. |

So, i've been experiencing what i now understand to be "sleep paralysis". Ever since i was little i've had this feeling of waking up and not being able to move, i try to force and push, do anything i can to just lift my head. Sometimes (most of the times) its kind of scary, im paranoid. I havent quite embraced the fact yet that it is normal and could perhaps be a good thing to maybe even help me lucid dream? I feel paranoid and panic to wake myself up. So over the years i've tried to pay attention to the patterns and when i do experience sleep paralysis. I am pretty sure that under THESE conditions is when it happens (for me). |

Waking up to do WBTB and doing reverse blinking caused it for me a few times. Other things I could do to "induce" it were to WBTB in general, nap, and when waking up in the morning without an alarm and you fade back and forth between sleep, and it is very easy to fall back to sleep, pay attention to some kind of noise (whether it be someone talking and you not paying attention to what is being said, but the background noise of it continuing to drone on, or like snow from tv or radio static, or a fan, etc.). The last bit about paying attention to a background noise caused it the most with me. You don't concentrate on the noise hard, but rather loosely focus on it as you are drifting back off to sleep. |
