Thread: Using Crystals for Dreams

Has anyone used crystals to enhance their dream or to induce LD or OBE? I know people use crystals to help meditation and to open chakras. I recently bought a moonstone and an angel stone for meditation but have not noticed any changes in my dreams.

Any experiences would be appreciated

I never used any of them because I believe they only work as a placebo, but I took the initiative of finding you some threads regarding the use of crystal in dreams, you can take a look at them here. There's some people with apparently loads of experience

Also, to future posters: please let's abstain from conflict in this thread, if you don't believe in what the OP does, it's no reason to flood the thread with negative responses. Let's keep this in topic

Thanks Zoth i checked out her thread and it has alot of info. and also im not sure if crystals or stones are placebo or not either lol. Like i said i bought some to try but no results so far.

Interesting thread. Perhaps you can play around with different crystals and share your experiences later on. This could make for a good experiment. I dream of crystals from time to time and have the feeling they may indeed have a nice application to dreaming. Just don't know how to use them yet. I'll also check out the link zoth posted, thanks zoth! Have fun Jayzen and let us know if you stumble upon something interesting.

You know I am thinking that crystals can be so interestingly orderly patterned and some of them refract light and have other cool properties, thus I would expect a crystal to be a great focal object for meditation, and I think meditation and lucid dreaming are related.

I have been playing around with idea of buying some crystals. This is what I have gathered from websites.

You can buy any crystal, but best thing is to go to the store and hold individual crystal in your hand and see if you get any "vibes" from it. Some poeple claim they feel vibrations, movement, or just it feels right, or doesn't feel right.

Then based on what is the crystal made from, you need to cleanse it of other peoples energies. Either with water or laying it out on the sun.

Then you need to program it to your task. Let's say you want it to give you more vivid dreams, you hold the crystal in your hand and you think of having more vivid dreams.

Finally, you place for the crystal under your pillow.

Some crystals are almost universal, good for many different things. Some are better for individual tasks. Placebo or not, if they work...

Thanks guys. Gab ive just cleansed my angel stone today (gypsum) and i let it sit out in the sun today, i had no idea about placing intentions, so i will do that before bed tonight. Im going to put an intention or more vivid dreams. The other stone i have cant go into water but ill still place an intention of positive dream. Ill let you guys know if i have any results. JoannaB - If you ( or any1 else) have any suggestions of crystals or stones to buy, ill buy these stones and give them a try. I buy them online so it takes a few days to recieve them.

If you google gemstones for lucid dreaming, one of the websites (energy healing) has more info about cleaning and programming it. And bunch of sites have good info about which gemstone is best for what - astral travel, past lives, connecting with your guardians, lucid dreaming...

I like the idea of programing crystals as an aid to dreaming.
I think I will experiment with setting an intention such as, visiting the moon and then meditating with the crystal whilst thinking of the moon and then burying the crystal ( a Moonstone for this one) on a full moon leaving it for a full cycle and retrieving it the next full moon to put by my bed or under my pillow.
I think it would be nice to not allow any sunlight to touch it once programmed, unless it was programmed for daydreams.
I have not tried this yet but I am inspired by your post as I just dreamed of the crystal Citrine last night. I will have a look at the energy website mentioned above to see if this has a relevant dream meaning.

yeah i was planning on getting citrine next. But i dont think citrine can be programmed for dreaming, as far as i know it is for fortune.

I would'nt of put Citrine as a dream stone as such. I just googled it and a site recomended it as part of a crystal dream bag to amplyfy the energies of the other crystals.
The site says Citrine promotes intuitive understanding and facillitates contact with higher forces of intelligence. It also mentions it is one of the few stones that doesnt accumulate negativity.
So thanks JayZen for the nudge to look into it, as I was feeling very sad in my dream so i suppose the appearance of the Citrine was, may be partly to cleanse the negativity I was feeling. although some fortune would be nice to lol.

hmmm im not shore if it is a placebo I believe they do have energy but its your thoughts that help achieve it, I have 3 shamic dream crystals and when I meditated with them I could feel the energy field around them!

and I must say after meditating with them for a month I started getting serious vivid dreams and at 1 point I was able to go through sleep paralasys and asteral project.

But after that I moved away lost all my spirituality couldn't be assed with my crystals anymore, so I stopped and vivid dreams almost became non existent id be lucky to even get 1 a month,

but now iv moved back home and starting to find my self again!

I actually really do believe they are linked together.

Some dreams can be just abit of fun and no spirituality at all, and some dreams just blow your mind and are very spiritual and when you wake up you just feel amazing and have lots of questions to ask to what just happened

next time if you ever have a lucid dream just sit on your bed or where ever you are and just meditate I guarantee you will go next level that's from what I have found, it can send you into like sleep paralasys which is just basically vibrations washing over you it is amazing, just remember to think happy thoughts and protection cause some weird stuff can happen :/ :L

yeah that happened to me and was scared to sleep fora bit lol... the sleep paralysis. Ive read that if you enter SP on the onset of sleep , you wont hallucinate because you wont go into REM. SP before waking though happens while you are still in REM , so will you only hallucinate if you SP in the morning?

From personal experience, i would suggest blue kyanite, red jasper , shamanic dreamstone (if you can get hold of one),I find that amethyst is pretty good aswell, make sure you get to know the crystals first tho, spend some time with them and get to know there energies and simply ask them to take you deep into your dream state.

Programming of crystals is important as crystals are amplifiers of energy and your intention is pure vibratory energy so it makes sense that the more time you spend with them the more energy they have to play with , place them on the window sil in the morning and if you really want to get the best out of your crystals treat them with love and pay attention to what they are telling you via subtle energies its hard at first but you will get the hang of it

okay so some info on kyanite, well firstly it comes i a few different colours I find blacks quite emotionally grounding but its gets you on the astral surf, very safe and protecting... green kyanites very loving, when you place it on your heart chakra you feel very connected to the universe and it brings up allot of healing issues but i only had my peice for 2 days before climbing a tree and placing it up there . blue kyanite is pretty full on, place it on your throat chakra to promote dream communication and place on your third eye for ten mins before you go to sleep to increase vividness its quite soothing but if you find you cant sleep with it under your pillow place some rose quartz under your pillow as well, rose quartz has such a gentle soothing vibe to it, its almost like it sings you lullaby's , i could go on...........

Red jasper although its red is a very good stone to help with dream recall, its always good to have something to ground your dreams into waking life and red jasper is amazing for it its got a very strong vibe but its a very humble gem and its quite a common one so its not to hard to get hold of .....

shamanic dreamstones are friends for life, diversely unique and great for gazing into, gazing promotes third eye expansion but be careful because you will become a very spaced out character if you work to much on your third eye, very powerful gems sometimes to intense under your pillow, so again the rose quartz may be necessary or simply ask them to calm down abit so you can fall asleep haha i know it may sound abit nuts but it works haha if you get hold of a shamanic dreamstone you are going to have some serious fun

And yeah amethyst is just really good to take you deep into your mind and bring up anything subconscious, which is perfect for dreaming, id say get one thats a very deep purple as the intensity of the purple seems to have a dramatic effect on energetics the lighter shades tend to be more crown chakra orientated and for dreaming we want thirdeye so deep purple, but you got to be careful with how much you work on your third eye try to stay balanced if you can also amethyst is soothing helps with addictions any cravings and its just a lovely stone it really wants to help us humans haha

this is just from my personal experiance, ive learned that crystals effect people in different ways and often out do what we perceive them to do, so dont limit a crystal, there multi dimensional beings after all, well so are we, allot of my crystals have followed me into the dream world and upon seeing them i instantly become lucid so i know they work hope this has helped and have fun with crystals oh and remember once you are finished with one give it to someone or place it back into nature, you will know when, who or where to place them, some will stay with you a life time others will go in days, i like to perceive them as shards of the universe coming and going as they wish

yes amethyst is my birthstone so my parents bought me a large rock of it inside and it was on my shelf in the house i was at when i was young, thats when i had my first SP, and i had very scary dreams that i couldnt tell if they were real or i drempt them, like a lion chasing me down the stairs, another time i went to turn on my night lamp on my bed and a big taratula ran across my bed.

Also like i said i would do, i programmed my angel stone last night before bed, i asked for positive energy and vivid dreams, and last night i had a disturbing dream i would ask some help to interpret because i cant find an answer on google. I drempt i was lead into a bathroom with a big pool of water. and i began to urinate into the pool. first of all, i couldnt stop peeing, it was never ending stream, and second it was like 80 percent blood. i could see the clear water of the pool filling with blood. any interpretations would help, because i asked for positive energy and this sort of disturbed me, but it wasnt scary, just disturbing.

Cool! amethyst is my birthstone too, i have one also plus fluorite, iv'e had them for a few months & i did notice an 'up' in my dream recall & a noticeable enchantment to my dreams overall, i love those crystals they're a big help even if it is a placebo its a pretty damn good one!

yeah man like i lost my stone and then i didnt dream for 2 days. and i found it last night and i drempt again. so im startin to think they arent placebo.

I have just got a plant last week called a calea zacatechichi/Dream herb.

I have just potted it and it's growing pretty nicely, when it grows more ill let you know of the effects

if you havnt heard of it basically it's a plant to aid dreaming!

You can smoke the leaves, put into a tea or put in capsules! Apparently it can give you really vivid and spiritual dreams! the chontal Indians of mexico use it

also growing a Salvia Divinorum plant which just arrived today

hmm its all subconscious, prehaps it was to make you appreciate the normality of waking life or a way to make you become lucid, a never ending stream of piss is that out of the ordinary that you would question weather you are dreaming or not ? who knows.........have you cleansed your crystals?

yes yesterday i cleansed my angel stone, and u cant cleanse salanite so i left that one alone, and then i programmed it that same night. and yes i sorta clued in that i was dreaming but i woke up the next second.

you can cleanse crystals in many ways, do you cleanse them with water? yeah theres a few crystals that cant be cleansed with water so use incence instead, white sage, frankincense seem to be really good

i have had waking dreams/hallucinations going into sleep (hypnagogia) But no sleep paralysis. I try to remember 'The litany against fear' from the book/film Dune when i start to get freaked out.
