To sum it up if you're illiterate, the Mayans were extremely advanced astrologists and predicted a point in time at the end of their calendar when our sun will reach the direct center of the galaxy on Winter Solstice.
Supposedly this will correspond with the ascension of the human race into a new world age, one less towards ignorance and hatred, and more towards enlightenment and cooperation.

Basically, they had one calendar based on the moon and sun and whatnot, almost identical to our modern calendar and very accurate, and then they had a second, religous calendar based on nothing whatsoever that I'm aware of, and of a different lenght than the normal calendar. Then, they assumed that the last time the religous calendar and the normal one had a new year beginning on the same day, the world MUST have started. And the next time such a thing happens, the world will end. Yeah. Real scientific-like. Genius, truly.

Idiot, the Mayans didn't say the world would end, it would simply be a new world age. They weren't talking about the end of the world... Why would the end of a calendar be the end of the world? I don't believe that. I do believe what the Hopi and the Mayans have in common is predicting a great upheaval during this time period, with Hopi prophecies being eerily accurate.

Seems to be alot of talk about the end of the world. There is statistical probability that the world will end in the next 2 centuries. If anyone wants more info on Eschatology (the study of the end of the world) heres a link that talks about different books that have been written on it.

Why haven't we left Iraq? Simple. Their military isn't sufficiently trained to conduct the peace-keeping operations inside Iraq. Therefore, US troops are staying there to train Iraqi soldiers and keep the peace until the Iraqis are ready to do it themselves. If we pull out now, it'll just be Somalia all over again.

check this out. i just woke from a dream in which, near the end, i looked at a clock and it said 20 minutes then and hour and 20 minutes until the end of the world. i had to get this nuke out of the house incase the end was not coming. thought this is some weird self fullfilling prophecy. i then called my mom and said "how does it feel to know your going to meet your maker in an hour and 20 minutes" haha that means the clock said 1:20 time left. thats like 120, or a subconscious 2012! also, i was on shroomz in the dream! Nope, he had the highest approval rating of any president in US history. Of course, with the current state of things, he also has the largest shift in approval ratings. I don't know his current one, but it's low.

We have colonized our McWorlds all across the planet. Saying that we are stoners hardly does anything the side effects of marijuana are Increased visual and auditory increased mental thought process. The worst side ieffect is short term memory loss or lung damage.. Now if you were to compare marijuana against another typically used drug such as Tobacco or Alchohal you see that studies show that marijuana is no more lung damamging then Tobacco and the side effects of alchohal are far more worse than marijunaa. Few if any deaths have been strictly related to marijuana. Most cases involving marijuana were when combined with other drugs alchohal, herione, lsd, pcp, cocaine, etc.
When comparing alchohal and marijuana together lets put 2 and 2 together.
Which are you more likely to harm someone? When drunk or when high? Thats right studies show that there are more alchohal related accidents and injuries than there are those caused by marijuana.
Which is your driving most likely to be worse when high or when druink?
Thats right more car accidents have been related to those of drunk drivers than those that were high. For one your auditory and visual perception not to mention your mental state is extremely increased meaning you can see and hear better than if you were sober. Compared to being drunk when you can not even walk a straight line even more you would not be able to operate a motor vehicle when drunk.
Which is more likely to happen of a overdose when high or when drunk? Thats right when your blood alchohal level reaches 25.0 -30.0 you would have alchohal poisioning and most likely this is the point where with marijuana you would have to smoke your own body weight which with me is 165 pounds of marijuana. Which is highly unlikely for a single person to do.
Now seeing all this it is clearly evident that Alchohal is far more dangerous to the user than marijuana is.
Now the only reason why alchohal is not illegal and marijuana is, is because alchohal is socially accepted by the people and by the goverment where as marijuna is not.
And when saying that of the 421 chemicals that are in marijuana only 61 of them are only natural to marijuana where as the other 350+ chemicals can be found in many other natural things. And when comparing that to a ciggerate and what not is clear to see that while neither of them are good for you neither of them causes more lung damamge than the other.
And seeing as how marijuana is palced under a hallucienougen this is very uncorrect seeing as how only .9 - 3% of users experience hallucinations. Which when comparing to acid or some other hardcore drugs where you are likely to have a 99.9% chance of hallucinating.
Seeing as how i had to do a report on this in 9th grade you will see that i know quite a bit about this drug and to call one a stoner is simply placing a label on someone nothing more.

Once again, think twice about that statistic. I've been through stats classes, and it's WAY to easy to fake a statistic, even one that comes from something true. There's something called a lurking variable. In this case, look at age. Most people who get drunk have access to a car and aren't likely to avoid using it while they're on alcohol simply because they have trust in their skills as drivers. People who get high aren't all in the same age group. Some are old enough to drive, some aren't. So some may not have access to a car, may not even have a license whatsoever. So a drunk person is hundreds of times more likely to be in an accident, just because they're more likely to be in a car. It's not the difference in the effects of marijuana or alcohol that causes the accidents, it's that one is more commonly seen in people that are driving.

You're right, I've never been high. But I've got one aunt who died recently from the effects of drugs, a brother who's been in jail more times than he's been to school because of drug sentences, and another aunt who can't keep a job because of her history with drugs. I've been around people who are getting high, I've been around them while they're high, and I've been around them when they aren't high. My brother's never done any hard drugs, only marijuana, cigarettes and booze. He's still got lung problems, even though he's stopped smoking for the last three years. I will also say that the use of marijuana can be safer than drinking and cigs if used in a responsible manner and not obsesed over. But for me it does have a very powerful control on the mind. I like to look at it as a dessert. A good thing to treat yourself to maybe every time you go out to eat if not often, and a bad thing if you are constantly craving that food and becoming obese because of it

The title was the first they that caught my attention: the 4400, what I think they mean is the 144,000. ok so they cut the first and last number off, but in the bible, the 144,000 are supposedly 12 times 12 being 12 tribes of Israel (jews) and 12 diciples of Christ (Christians) equaling 144. thousand being infinite number, because they had no number greater than 1000 in measuring an innumerable amount. The view on this is something about 144,000 being taken away in the sky and coming back to earth. Ok this sums up the plot of the 4400 on TV. Except theirs is about aliens. The latest fucked up mind conditioning commercial on the tv about the 4400 says this:

But your theory lacks solid proof. It is all composed of coincidences. Its similar to the De Vinchi Code, that book was loaded with info supporting his theory about the holy grail and the holy blood but it all has been proven false (just a scam)
Though it is somewhat possible but highly unlikely. the theory also only talks of christianity and juddism like the bible and clues are reliable resources.
When I read it i got a very high feeling of paronoia, which is a know side affect marijuanna. I dont want to tell you how to live your life at all. but I would suggest maybe taking a break for a month or two. Yeah, I have to butt in. I am a pot smoker, but I'm not a conspiracy theorist. I think our government went into an oil war with nil justification beyond "Saddam is bad but unlike other bad people in the world Saddam has oil." We have two consecutively resigned Chief Weapons Inspectors who agree that there are no and never were any WMDs. We've found warehouses full of sanctioned chemicals with the UN locks still on them. These visions didn't come to me in a hallucination, they came to me on the six o' clock news.
That being said, there's some misinformation here on both sides about drugs, namely marijuana. For one thing, if you visit a place like WebMD or Freevibe or something for your drug information, you will get a certain skew. A friend of mine was in the hospital for food poisoning and when he was given an injection to interrupt his vomiting fits, he went into a seizure. The doctors told him the medicine had reacted with THC in his blood and caused him to have a fit. That's a lie, and a criminal lie. Tetrahydrocannabinol was no such catalyst.

THE CONS
Marijuana slows your reaction times. It inhibits short-term memory while under the influence. It has a residue effect over a day or so after smoking that partially continues to inhibit your ability to retain new information. Also, if smoked too early in life, it can inhibit the part of your brain that literally causes you to mature, meaning your puberty process is stunted as well as your mental development. I know a kid who started smoking when he was eight. Nine years later, he can't grow facial hair. Bad ideas can seem funny enough to try. Don't smoke pot at school.
THE PROS
Besides the obvious good feelings, your thought process is freed of inhibitions. This is the one where everyone says "Oh you stupid stoners think you're being philosophical and deep, but really you're just rambling." And you're half-right. Anyone who's heard the lyrics of Phish can tell you that some of the stuff that runs through your head while you're stoned is just ridiculous. That being said, it's ridiculous to totally discredit the worth of such a state of mind. While it may not be a great way to do your taxes, writing a story or improvisation on an instrument come much more fluidly.
(Note that I haven't even touched on the health effects there, those are below.)
CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF
Marijuana does not kill braincells. This is a myth based on a flawed study done on rhesus monkeys whose hippocampus areas (the part of the brain that involves learning) had been distorted. However, that study was done with over 200 times any recreational amount taken by humans. In other words, doses that no one outside of a laboratory could produce. Furthermore, later experiements done with doses 100 times higher than average recreational dose have shown no such damage, or any other effects of permanency.
Marijuana doesn't cause lung disease. So far there have been zero deaths directly related to marijuana. Zero. Of course, smoking anything at all is bad for your lungs, but pot is one of the safest things you could inhale. Its smoke, apart from the high, is nearly identical to cigarette smoke. The difference, however, is the amount smoked and the nature of the effect on the lungs. Marijuana smoke actually expands the bronchial tubes and does not affect the smaller airways. There was even a survey done with 1,200 smokers with information taken on their pulmonary function status at two-year intervals. They showed no harm even worth noting. So far there is no evidence that marijuana smoke causes cancer, although changes in the bronchial cells raise the risk. This means a smoker of marijuana and tobacco will have a much higher chance of getting lung cancer, because the tobacco acts on the propensity for development that the marijuana does not do on its own.
There is no evidence that marijuana contributes to car accidents as much as everyone says. The Highway Traffic Safety Administration sponsored a study on the intoxicant content of 2,000 fatal accident cases. Alcohol was found in 50% of the subjects, while marijuana turned up in only 6.7%. Furthermore, in two-thirds of the cases where marijuana was present, alcohol was also present. The impairment of reaction time is not so drastic that one has to be careful not to fly off a cliff. In fact, it's limited by under a second's worth of time.
Also, marijuana does not significantly dull ambition. Granted, while you're stoned you feel like lazing around a bit. But that doesn't mean it will take over your life. Studies have been done in the US, Greece and Jamaica, and in none did any notable difference in students' grade point averages appear. Pot smokers can do just as well at school as those who don't smoke pot. I could have told you that myself, but it's good to have numbers behind it. That isn't to say that hardcore potheads aren't lazy, though. If you're stoned all day, of course you're going to forget about other things. Being stoned all day is, in my opinion, no better than being drunk all day. Getting high is for recreation, and recreation only, and if it's used with some degree of responsibility it won't take over your life any more than your TV or your computer would.
Phew. That was a long one. To make a long story short, no substance is inherently evil. Some are inherently dangerous, but not pot. It's the responsibility of the user to keep his use in check with the rest of his life, and to make sure he doesn't become a stereotype.
By the way, if anyone wishes to ridicule someone for using pot as a brainstorming tool, you're going to have to stop drinking caffeine to stay perky, drinking ginko tea to be stimulated, drinking chamomile to relax, drinking warm milk to get to sleep at night (yes, milk is a sedative), taking B-6 and melatonin to dream (or Calea for that matter), and even eating chocolate to feel good (chocolate contains theobromine and caffeine). All those are commonplace drugs in our current society. Like it or not, they are psychoactive drugs that produce an altered state. Pot is a bit more heady than milk, naturally, but to discredit substance use in general is a bit naive and a bit more hypocritical.
By the way, I've been stoned as I wrote this, so if there are any grievous typographical errors that you feel justify your assumptions about the stupidity of pot-smokers, go ahead and point them out. If you feel I've been inarticulate or incoherent, go ahead and call me on that, too.
But please, don't call me ignorant. I do my best to know exactly what I'm putting into my body. There are just as many sober idiots out there as there are morons on drugs.

I'm not trying to mock, I was trying to throw in trivia. Maybe it was too quick of a blurb. What I meant to convey is that the number 666 has other uses. I'll dig up some info.
Treating a circle with 666 degrees instead of 360 can lead to some interesting results. 666 is also the gematrian number for the sun, and it's been theorized that Mars used to have an orbit of 666 days (and also Earth's used to be 360 days).
This information sort of stems from a grander idea that everything in the universe used to work in such elegant cycles (until a planet exploded). There is this master constant, the constant of Ninevah, or the Wilcock Constant...they are related, when divided by certain planetary numbers, like 666 for the sun, would spit out exactly how long it takes for the sun to complete an orbit.

The way I figure it is this. We've seen many coverups exposed. We've seen many exposes on 60 Minutes, we've seen a few presidents dig themselves into shit they couldn't climb out of, we've seen corruption, we've seen greed, and we've seen a lot of it (at least eventually) on the six o' clock news.
The main problem I have with a lot of conspiracy theories is that if it's something so grand that its likes have never been seen before in the history of the country, then how could it possibly stay under for so long? I'm usually one of those "believe it when I see it" people, though reading in between the lines is clearly important. Just... not necessarily the lines of a barcode.

Oh really, FOX distorts the truth? I'm totally shocked. And not that it isn't mindblowing when high, but you really don't need to be stoned to see through FOX news. It just requires a bit of awareness of the world around you.
By the way, everything looks fake on TV when you're stoned. Just like everything else looks like cardboard cutouts as well. Another reason I'm always skeptical of conspiracy theories is that the human brain is designed to find patterns. This is the underlying process on every level, from subconscious behavioral instincts to higher-level reasoning. Given enough information, you can begin to extract patterns from anything, especially with a mathematically versatile number like 666. Didn't anybody see A Beautiful Mind? John Nash sat there picking "codes" out of newspapers that ultimately meant nothing. What a silly goose.
A lot of conspiracy theories have their own plausibilities. A lot also have a lot of undisputable numerological correlations. The big question is whether they correlate to each other, or whether the gaps had to be filled in (ie, inferred) for the theory to sync.
For example, you say that all the American presidents have lied to their people and were not true Christians. Isn't that a bit short-sighted? We've had quite a few stinkers in the White House over the history of our country, but other countries have had piss-poor leaders too. Some much worse than ours. Your connection between the American presidents and the biblical "false prophets" is an example of the way the ambiguity of the Bible can be distorted to fit however you like.

I'd be interested to have a list of names and properties they own, as well as some source that confirms their religion.
Some of your stuff is definitely interesting, but I can't take it as fact the way it is. Too many connections drawn between broad and multifaceted symbols such as the Eye or the Star of David, and too many assumptions.
Anyway, my point is that 2+2 only equals 4 if you expect it to. There may be unchangable quantities, but if their correlation and results are based on inferences between other independent quantities, they can't be expected to add up to anything you don't already expect them to.
That's just my science brain at work. I certainly hope a judge would look at my case in the same way if I were to stand on trial: innocent until proven guilty.

After I read this thread I felt like watching Fox News for something truthful. I usually watch it when Comedy Central is on commercial.

Discovering special theories isn't what is needed right now. We need a good shakedown of every world government and every individual. Searching both the government and the individual will lead us to physical evidence that directly shows us where money or suppies are. It could also lead us to where war may happen next according to plans of governments (I.E. Attack missions and Assassinations). Finding corruption within physical boundaries, rather than searching for special corruption outside of physical laws or through pieces of paper that happen to have lettering or a pattern, will more likely help clear problems.
Corruption is so deep nowadays that it could be anywhere. It could be in Britain, Kenya, America, China, or Guam. Taking the time to do the action and go out to find the problem instead of debating it is a lot more effective.

Greed for power isn't the driving factor in most modern governments. There are still governments corrupted by such, though the number of dictatorships is rapidly decreasing. In America, The President's time in office is limited, as is what they can do in what time they do have. Bush can't take over the world in his 8 year presidency without the support of the majority of Congress, and I can assure you that he won't get Congressional approval of anything vaguely resembling a war plan after Iraq.
Anyway, if it does come down to a war to end the world, I'd say that China's the most likely subject to bring about the end of the world, not the Middle East.
Oh, and BTW, I really do agree with Polio Vaccine on just about everything here. Yeah, I understand that you might see things differently when you're high, and that can lead to ideas you couldn't normally think of while high. But it really won't make you a super genius if you go get stoned. Anyway, this whole conspiracy stuff's always been a pet peeve of mine.

Notice how long those lines are? They aren't read as numbers - they are control codes. Specifically start and end codes.
it's a '*' in 8o8, for example.

actually, all kidding aside, there is a great deal of truth in the matter that Jay Dawg may well be at least an AGENT of the Antichrist. I myself believe that the Antichrist was Paul, the author of 14 of the 27 Books of the New Testament (by a slim Majority, putting himself before Christ). When I had been corresponding with Jay Dawg I tried to point out that in every way Paul was the Antichrist. But Jay, without offering a line of thought, simply held tenaciously to every single Paulist Doctrine... all while saying that he was not Religious... well I should say NOT. Paulist Doctrines aren't really Religion at all, which is what makes them Antichristical. But it is odd that somebody who claims not to be Doctrinaire or Dogmatic or at all connected to the Paulist Church should be so stubborn in maintaining such beliefs. Again he offered no argument. Wow this thread has come so far off-topic. I would like to stop the jay_dawg bashing long enough to say that I'm starting to come around to some of the things he says. I mean initially I thought he was just a pot head that didn't know left from right, don't take that the wrong way jay, but some of the things he has been saying have been overlapping what I think. What this means is I agree/disagree with what jay_dawg and also Leo Volont have to say. I guess I'm sort of in a third camp over here.
All the drama is sort of entertaining, and with the addition of kimpossible it should make for some interesting new story lines. I haven't found anything to disagree with kim about, but I do like her jay_dawg = antichrist creativity and her term sheeple. Maybe we can find some common ground where all of our diverse views overlap. Wouldn't that be fun?

It has been convenient for those of the Gentile Christian Churches to suppose the Antichrist had not yet come... that the Antichrist would be a fixture of the End Times. I suppose they need to maintain such a supposition because if they were to pick an Antichrist from out of the past, it would point a bit too close to home for their comfort.
Christ, even during his Ministry issued three prophecies that would indicate an Antichrist just over the horizon. He spoke of the Teachings of His Ministry and conglomeration of His followers being mixed with Evil like a field of Wheat being mixed with weeds. The Christians who teach that the Bible is the Pure Word of God must entirely ignore Christ's Prophecy of the Wheat and the Weeds. Then Christ spoke Prophecy of the Wolf in Sheep's Clothing -- that a false Prophet would arise who would be known by the damage his teachings would accomplish. Then Christ spoke of the Wide Way of Destruction and His own Narrow Way.
Well, look. We have the Weeds in the Wheat. We had the False Prophet. And we have a huge Network of Churches that incorporate a Wide Way of Destruction. And they all trace back to Paul.
Remember, the nullification of the Messianic Mission through the murder of the Messiah was a great triumph for Satan. And like any adequate Commander, Lucifer would have been certain to consolidate his Victory by sending in an Agent to eradicate whatever Teachings of the Messiah that could have survived the disaster of His having been killed. Paul did just that. Simply look at Protestant Doctrine which comes entirely out of the Letters of Paul. Every word of Christ's own Sermon of the Mount is tossed out. Paul goes 14 books without ever, not once, quoting a single word of Christ. The entire Doctrine totally dismisses Righteousness while underlining time and time again that Men are expected to Sin but that is okay since that was the reason why Christ was murdered, so that sinners could sin and still be forgiven. What more does it need to define an Antichrist then a doctrine that supposes that it is Okay to Sin because the Messiah was Murdered. When seen in this light, is it not the Sinners of Hell supposing that they can over-run Heaven because they were successful in murdering Christ?
Therefore, you really did intuit something solid when you supposed that the Protestants were actually Satanic. Indeed, who has the most to gain from the Forgiveness of Sins? Satan stands to benefit the most, doesn't he? The Protestant Doctrine of Original Sin and Salvation by Faith -- again, in every way, Satan is not in the least disqualified and stands to have the most to gain.
You may have noticed that I have been exempting the Catholic Church. Well, yes... up to a point. Remember, that Martin Luther did 'accuse' the Catholic Church of his time for ignoring the Doctrines of Paul. All of the Religous Orders ignore Paul. All of the Marian Sects ignore Paul. Much of the Catholic Church ignores Paul.
This brings us to Simeon's Prophecy concerning Mary -- that we would know the Evil in the hearts of others as they would wound the Heart of Mary. It should be clear that there is an almost supernatural compulsion on the part of Protestants to attack and insult Mary the Mother of Christ. It seems they can't help themselves. Hundreds of times I have heard from Protestants who say they don't hate Mary and would never dream of insulting Her, and then three sentences later the attacks and the insults commence.
Anyway, the Catholic Church is indeed the Field of Wheat and Weeds which Christ had prophecized. There is much of Paul's Doctrines embedded in the Church, but then we have the counter-influence of Mary and Her Saints which provide the offset which re-introduces Righteousness and the Principles of the Sermon of the Mount. So we have a Church in which the Institutions of Paul are in conflict with the Teachings of Christ and the Traditions of Mary and the Saints. Unfortunately the Cardinals and Bishops are almost all entirely Paulists... but they have power and very little more. They can generate little popular enthusiasm. But the Marians, with the Supernatural Aid of Mary and Her Saints, have been able to generate a great deal of popular interest.

Hello, it's been a while since anyone posted here in reply to the original subject matter, but I would like to add my own personal insight.
Several months ago I went through an awakening cycle as I do a few times during each year.
I am an empath and so my intuition is very good, however the cycles seem to increase the strength of these abilities each time.
On the last cycle, I intentionally produced a trance based on knowledge passed to me during one of my "educating" dreams (the repetitive action of chopping dates whilst being aware of everything but also only aware of the existence of the 3 second action). This in turn gave me direct insight into oneness for about a period of four hours, eventually ending with a comfortable period of just "knowing".
At the point of the "knowing" I had clear insight and feelings that seemed directed to me from a very alien location (alien in the way of being different from anything I know, not UFO's). There were several dates, several incidents, and people that I would need to protect, or who would suffer ill health (personal f/f/aquaintances).
The date that seemed closest, but international was 2012.
I had never heard anything about what is written here before that time, although I was aware that from the pattern of my past previous lives, 2012 was near the "action period" for me in this life.
The incidents I have known about in the past from a similar source, they were the natural distasters that began with the tsunami in the far east and so far have continued but also increased in frequency.
I do not claim to understand about this "2012" event, but as the dates and incidents have come and gone, I must say that when they occurred, I was not at all surprised.
I look forward to seeing if anything interesting happens then. But I will be out of the country at the time (United Kingdom), as this was part of the insight - for me to keep clear of the UK.
Interestingly enough, about two months after these insights, the UK won the right to hold the Olympic Games, in 2012.

Thanks for posting your references! It's always bugged me when people go on about something without linking to somebody credible to back it up. Not that all of those pages were credible, though. Anyway, I'm still of the same opinion about the conspiracy bit...
And a note on the Navy/Church of Satan bit you linked to, the article left out a few things.
First, if they'd refused to allow said Sailor to be a member of the Church of Satan, much how-tee-do would have been raised about him being denied freedom of religion.
Second, he IS to be allowed to belong to that religion, but there are limits to what he can do. He can say that he advocates the burial alive of people, but I guaruntee that if he actually tried it he'd be shot and tossed overboard pretty quick.

That picture is from Accuweather. The source is our very own NOAA and the National Hurricane Research Center. The NHRC has some very early tracks that could suggest it may go that route. Again - there's nothing supernatural about it.
