Ha ha ha, guess what, I got noooo proof.
But say I was to tell you that if you do a certain thing on a certain day with five bucks you'll become a millionaire, you may not believe me, but just to be safe you'd still might put up the five bucks, just to be safe...

My opinion (and I suppose my belief) is very straightforward, in the past my intuition has been very accurate, with the occasional exception.. I might win the lottery in 2012 or get a great job, instead of there being big changes worldwide.

So I personally have no reason to provide you with any proof as I'll just follow my intuition when the time comes, I don't lose in this situation.

I'll leave the proof giving to the die hard believers.

Nah, I'd spend the five bucks on a double cheeseburger and some fries. I have a fairly strict habit of not doing something without reasoning, and a million bucks isn't quite enough to change that.

When I hear 'I've got no proof', 'It's a faith thing', 'It can't be explained by logic', I just ignore it.

Just a few opinions:

1) I think mental conditioning is not only a possibility, but if it were any more obvious it would be engraved on the insides of our eyelids.

2) Unless anyone can tell me what goes on in the Skull and Bones organization, that Bush and Kerry Openly admit to being a part of, I'd gladly cease to be suspicious of it. Until then, I'd say that is evidence in favor of the conspiracy theorists. "Uhm Yes. I am the president of the US, but I belong to a secret organization along with many of the most powerful men on the planet, and you're not allowed to know what goes on within.....VOTE FOR ME!!" I heard someone ask about how Bush is going to try to take over the world, when he is out of office in about 3 years. But my question is, if you can eject Bush from office, would good would that do to stopping the supposed NWO agenda if the ideal runs rampant between many of the people who could be in line for Presidency anyway? Keep in mind, Bush and Kerry were opponents, but part of the same secret organization (Skull and Bones)

10) There is more going on worldwide than can be realized by shrugging off every outlandish claim. To have mixed feelings on a wild possibility is better than being completely ignorant of a truth that may be staring you in the face.

Thanks for posting your references! It's always bugged me when people go on about something without linking to somebody credible to back it up. Not that all of those pages were credible, though. Anyway, I'm still of the same opinion about the conspiracy bit...

And a note on the Navy/Church of Satan bit you linked to, the article left out a few things.

First, if they'd refused to allow said Sailor to be a member of the Church of Satan, much how-tee-do would have been raised about him being denied freedom of religion.
Second, he IS to be allowed to belong to that religion, but there are limits to what he can do. He can say that he advocates the burial alive of people, but I guaruntee that if he actually tried it he'd be shot and tossed overboard pretty quick.

That picture is from Accuweather. The source is our very own NOAA and the National Hurricane Research Center. The NHRC has some very early tracks that could suggest it may go that route. Again - there's nothing supernatural about it.

I agree with you about the Satanist thing. I doubt he is going to have the freedom to go around Chainsaw Massacre-ing people. hehe. But then the question arises; what happens when this becomes a more Common circumstance? One Satanist is one thing, but how about when the floodgates open and they start packing the poop-decks. (LMFAO. Damn that came out wrong...SHIT I did it again!! I mean SHOOT Ah Hell...anyway..)

But I do have to ask, do you have evidence against any of the above claims? Don't take this the wrong way, but if you're dismissing them all because they are "conspiracy theories" without being able to counter them, then are you not guilty of what you accuse many conspiracy theories of?

And what the hell is up with this Christian exodus to South Carolina thing I've been reading about? I saw an article on Reuters earlier today and now I can't find it. I'd post a link to one of the articles I found when I googled it, but I'm iffy about the sources, so I'll leave that one open to anyone who wants to look it up.

I think the vast majority of conspiracy theories need some little shred of factoid to start off with. And then from there, someone with a copy of photoshop and an over-active imagination goes ape-shit.

And yeah, the "theorist with photoshop" thing was what I was trying to avoid. That's why I'm just going to make a simple mental note of this "OMG SUPERSTORM!" thing, and just see how it turns out in the end. Not to say that if it is nothing big then the blogger (if I'm using the term correctly) is incredible. But I just think it'd be interesting to see where the prediction leads.
