Twin flame

For over a year now, I’ve been periodically visited in my dreams by this man who I’ve never met in real life but every time I see him or sense him I recognize him. It’s both exhilarating and comforting having him near. Sometimes he speaks to me, sometimes he doesn’t. sometimes he appears as a shadowy figure with no discernible features but I recognize him the moment he touches me, say to caress the back of my neck, lift my legs to tuck me into bed etc. My dream body tingles at his touch. The times I have seen him, the main features of his that stick in my mind are his dark, dark eyes and pale skin. Never when he shows up does he do me any harm, in fact he always seems to be trying to help me in some way. Every time I’ve dreamt of him it’s always felt different than regular dreams that are just full of random nonsense. After a while I began to wonder if perhaps he might not be just a figment of my imagination. Then I came across the twin flame theory. Now bear with me, I’m not deluded. I don’t buy into every pseudo-science, paranormal crackpot theory I read, especially not one talking about two souls joining together because I believe we all have our own individuality and it is something we should hang on to. These dreams however are ongoing and always they leave me in a strange state of bliss that I began to wonder: do I possibly have a twin flame? Has he been visiting me?

Hey Assuming that you are a girl, I guess that this might be your 'male counterpart'? I am not an expert on this topic, but I have read something about 'animus' and 'anima'... So if you were a boy, you might encounter your female part of yourself and vice versa. I have met my anima in my dreams before and she just showed up as a nice girl who is so much like me. SHe also tried to help me and was really kind and her appearance really got me stoked. So what is this man in your dreams like? Did you observe his behaviour? What does he do besides 'trying to help you'? Would you do similar things in waking life? If that's the case, he might just be a part of yourself that your subconscious mind is trying to show you (quite urgently if he occurs so often in your dreams). Since I don't buy into every pseudo-science either, I guess that this could possibly be a plausible solution? What do you think? - Benni

Hi Benni you were correct in assuming I'm a female and thank you for replying to my thread. I have heard the term animus before but I have to be honest, I don't really know what that is other than it being 'my male persona' but I guess that it's no less plausible than having a twin flame. The man in my dreams never really struck me as being that similar to me. The strangest thing about him is that occasionly he has changed age (one time he appeared to me as a young man around my age, another time he was much older). Always it's his eyes that I recognize instantly. Their so dark brown their nearly black whereas mine aren't (not that it really matters). As for his actions, thats kind of hard to define. Sometimes he'll try to avoid me and other times he'll act affectionate. Sometimes I'll feel like he's hiding something, but I really don't know. Your guess is as good as mine.

Having a twin flame is certainly possible, but have you ever considered the possibility that he might be your dream guide instead?
