Cards (Dream-Game)

dream game

as I drop-of to sleep I will say "Whats on the card" then when I wake I will make notes of any hipnagogic imagery, dream snippets, hipnapopic lmagery, songs and thoughts that I wake-up with.

I will use this dream-game as a tool to remember my dreams. Because when hosts ran dream experiments for me to participate in, I enjoyed falling to sleep with a purpose, and waking-up in wonder searcheding my dream-memory for clues to that object was that the host had chosen.

I will start tomorrow after I buy some cards.

I just found an old unopened pack of Mythic Tarot cards that were gifted to me. I took the plastic off, took out the Major Acarna, and the Kings, Queens, Knights and Pages. So, the card will be in the range of 1-10 of Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs and Spades. I shuffled, cut and put a card (unseen) into pepperment tea box.

I put that box saftly under my ordinary box of tea bags.

Now I will go to sleep with that bubbly, happy feeling, wondering what the card is.

It is now 12:15 am Thursday 17-January-2013. I will record everything in my dream journal and put links in this thread. When I look at it I will say what it is in this thread. Then note any hitsI find in this thread.

Sad. I thought you were talking about playing cards in a dream. I once went to a school for about a month where we played a card game. When one kid lost he went to the other school. I was the only one left in my school and I was playing the champion of theirs when I woke up.

Could you explain in more detail what you are doing here? It sounds interesting.

On the 2nd of July 2005 at 9:21AM an exciting dream-game began. MVX posted this:

"Some of us decided that it could be fun to see if our OBEs/lucid dreams/astral travels/visions etc could be used as some kind of remote viewing tool. Therefore we set up a very simple experiment that everyone can participate in.

Matt put an object in a cardboard box and marked it "Saltcube RV Experiment 1". The object in the box is the remote viewing target. Matt will reveal what the object is on the 8th of July. Until then you can post what you have picked up in your various experiences.

I know some of you have intense experiences eberyday so I will set a limit of 2 guesses for each person. I recommend you analyse your experiences and post the ones that you somehow think could be the object in the cardboard box.

When I cam on-line in 2008 and found saltcube, Matt had finished his 30 consecutive experiments. Another guy seemlessly took over the experiments and I joined-in on his 30th target (Marolin Munroe Astray). He did a total of 48 targets.

And that was my exciting introduction to Lucid Dreaming.

All 78 Lucid Dreaming remote viewing threads have long since been removed but I copied them all back in 2008 when I found them.

I really miss the fun and comradery of thos long-gone days.

So I'm starting up a game that I can play by myself but participants are welcome.

this week I took out the 16 court-cards and 22 Major Acarna cards before I shuffled, cut and placed a card (unseen) into my peppermint tea box.

I'm watching this video, now, before I drop-off to sleep in hopes of getting a dream about the card in the box.

Last night dream snippet:

I began combing my hair but my comb got hoplessly snagged. So I put the comb down and began using my fingers. I tried running my fingers through my hair and pulling apart the hair knotts.

I pulled out cotten wool.

Then I got curious so I stood up and walked over to my full length mirror. I was young and very beautifull. I never looked like that mirror reflection befor. My hair was long, black, wet and was in strings with white wool pieces in it. My hair was in strings but not quite dreadlocks and not quite platted.

When I woke up I wondered if this dream snippet was a clue to what's on the card in the Peppermint Tea box.

I lifted my curtain and was suprised th find a small tortus shell, half grown kitten sitting outside my window. Specifically the far left pane of my big window. The healthy kitten was sitting and looking looking (squarely) at me.

I magically reached through the glass window to grab the cat. It had smooth perfectly round lumps under its black/gray skin. Thinking that the disease might be contagous I stopped touching the kitten.

I knew the kitten wanted water and as I left to get the water I asked people if the cat's condition was a contagious disease.

when I got back to my room with the water and lifted the curtain the cat was in the (exact) same sitting position, waiting for me. but there was a mother cat with a sleek, black coat, walking outside the middle of the big window.

Then, as I was folding material and tidying my room getting ready for having painters paint my walls. But I looked-ip and they (two painters) were already in my room. A wall had waves of something on it. In the dream I thought that they were putting a layer of ummm ...insulating putty on my walls. Not paint.

I woke and switched the TV on and a Siamese cat was filling the screen. The cat was given a saucer of milk and started lapping it up. The synchronicity made me type the dream into this phone note immediately.

Mabe it (the dream) corrosponds to what is on the card in the Peppermint Tea box.

Oh, when I was giving water to the cats it was raining outside the dream window. But the first time I lifted the curtain and found the kitten sitting up and looking straight at me, it was not raining.

Also, that TV Cat was the "Charmed Ones" cat. I am watching it now and it is the first episode. Three sisters move into the family house and are discovering that they are witches and have powers.

I just checked the blurb on the TV programme and it reads:

"In San Francisco, the three vastly different Halliwell sisters are reunited in the grand Victorian home of their childhood."

Apparently their grandmar has just died in hospital (of old age) and this episode is the beginning.

Yep

This IS the beginning dear Reader.

I busted totally as in, my dreams had bothing to do with the picture on this card.

Now I am putting the card back into the deck. I am adding all the 16 court cards and 22 major Acana cards. I am shuffling. I cut and take the card (unseen) and wrap it in al-foil. Then put it in the peppermint tea box.

Every time I sleep or nap I will take out the aluminum-foil wrapped card, put it on my forehead and ask my mind to give me dreams about what the card is about. Then I'll put the card back in the box and sleep.

I will look at the card in 7 days and post what it is, here.

Hummm, I didn't dream anything about my target card "Two of Swords". But, here is a bit of backgrownd of the Two of swords.

The story of Orestes and the curse of the House of Atreus is a dark tale, full of conflict and bloodshed, and one of the most powerful Greek myths.

At its core lies a conflict of two great opposing principles--mother-right and father-right--and it is this collision of principles which makes the tale appropriate for illustrating the quarrelsome, turbulent, yet ultimately immensely creative, Suit of swords.
Fot this Suit deals with the human mind in its most potent form:

the capacity to create good or evil fate according to the strength of one's beliefs, convictions and principles.

The curse of the House of of Atreus is long and convoluted and here we will deal primarily with its final chapter.

But, in short,

it begins, with the crime of King Tantalos of Lydia, who grew so arrogant that in his madness he mocked the gods.

He cut his little son into pieces and served these, cooked, at a banquet to which he had invited the Olympians, in order to test their wisdom.

I wrapped a second card in tin foil (unseen) and put it in a soft spectacle-case so I can carry it in my pocket and tell myself to dream about the card when I sleep.

I want to (randomly) pick a new card every Monday (my time).

I have just taken a photo of my spectacle case with the card in it. (wrapped in tin-foil). To see it type flickr into the Google search-bar then type my Flickr username (Ultravioletfrog) into the Flickr search-bar. Right now, the spectacle case is the last photo uploaded.

5:30 am Wed 23-Jan-13 Xei replied to my thread called "American Idol (Season Twelve)"

I'll stick to my dream journal and this thread.

I can't wait a whole week to see if I dreamed the Tarot card. But I will.

Meanwhile, I will also do a daily dream experiment. I will

Buy a pack of playing cards. Take out the court catds and joker so that there is only 40 cards in the deck (1-10, clubs, spades, hearts and diamonds) shuffle, cut, take a card unseen and put other cards away.

Then

Before dropping off to sleep look at card and say

"I will dream about this card".

Then I will observe myself as I fall asleep, hoping to remember my dreams. On waking, write down everything.

This way I hope to train "Our Dreaming Mind" to understand what I am asking of it. I will probably change this ordinary playing-card daily.

I will still play the weekly dream game with the Mythic Tarot Cards.

Haha, I woke from a dream that I didn't like and it faded too quick for me to recall. But I then thought about my last 2 recorded dreams and thought the card might be 3 of Pentacles (diamonds).

I got up and looked through the two tarot decks I have (Mythic and Rider-Waite) I found the 3 of Pents for both and felt sure that my two dreams were pointing to the 3 of Penticles.

I was so tempted to unwrap the card in the tinfoil inside the specticle case but I lay down for a while first.

Then I suddenly burst out laughing as I realised that if I found the 3 of Pents in the Mythic Tarot deck then it aint in the spectical case.

So

Dream on dreamer.

Ace of Pentacles was the card wrapped in tinfoil in my spectacle case. It is 6:28pm Friday 25-Jan-2013 here. I'll shuffle, cut and wrap another card (unseen) on Monday. I'll have a couple of nights break from thinking about "what's in the spectical case". I didn' dream of the first (2 of swords) or second (ace of pentacles) cards.
