Here's my experience. I apologize if it's a bit lengthy.
This morning I became aware of hypnagogic sounds and I suddenly grew very excited and woke up. I tried again and immediately entered the same state. I never felt any vibrations, this time was no different, so I simply imagined separating the entire time.
I found that in this state I had good tactile visualization skills so I imagined my hands moving and covering my face. This was very convincing so it was sort of my cue, I suppose. I then imagined forcing myself out like I was going through a wall of bubblegum. For a moment I saw an image of some sort of amber light and then I found myself standing in the dark morning blueness of my room.
Only it wasn't really my room. It seemed the room itself was the same but the stuff and position of things were different. My bed with me on it was turned another direction, ect.
At first I had trouble seeing things though this quickly cleared up when I made a mental note that I was no longer looking through my eyes. However I had a lot of trouble with motion. It was more like I was looking at still images or thoughts.
I found I could not pass through things as I frequently heard. I was not floating either. I spent my short remaining time debating whether it would be safe to jump out of my window.
I'm actually leaning on the side that this was just a weak WILD about an OOBE. It was remarkably similar to a lucid dream.
However an interesting coincidence is that at the beginning I noted the time on the dream clock was 9:57. When I woke up the time on my real clock was 10:00. I want to say that's how long the experience felt, though it's hard to judge time without real movement.
