An Epiphany About Dream Life vs. Waking Life

This is part of a book/novel I'm writing that involves various subjects, but mainly connects together.

"Our story begins with the simple question: are you dreaming right now? Ask yourself to make sure. Now, do this several times a day, and soon you will to start to do it when you go to sleep at night and “dream,” which makes as much sense as “waking up.” During a car ride back from a friend’s place on July 23rd, under the influence of pot, I came to the sudden realization that we are in fact dreaming “right now.” It sounds pretty crazy, but if you try to picture how real your night dreams are, you begin to connect the dots and feel the sensation of being in bed about to wake up, as if your dream is finally coming to an end. I was explaining to my brother that, since every human doesn’t see the exact same thing, it fits pretty well. We are all having a separate dream. Whatever you do and whatever you perceive is your own different dream."

This happened today... and while I was typing that, I had the EXACT SAME experience/sensation that I get when I'm halfway between dreaming/waking in the morning. It was almost as if typing it and deeply thinking about it was causing me to "wake up" from what we call right now. It really scared the hell out of me and I went to my brother's room basically in shock, with an estimated heart rate of what felt like more than 160 beats per minute.

I don't know how to experience the moment I realized it, but I wish you all could have experienced it, or that maybe some of you already have.

EDIT: While I was playing FIFA with my brother, the feeling came back on and I started thinking about everything I know and everyone I know, and then started thinking of them as just being a figment of my imagination. Like, I don't know that my cousin actually exists until I see him, usually at a bar or something, which could mean that he only exists when he is present, because, like in a dream, you're creating everything around you from imagination.
