Not sure, PsychMaster: I'd say that it is where we are receptive to receiving information - like visitations and also where we can explore without the nasty censor telling us, "you can't do that!" Because in dreams, anything is possible and so we silence our censor. I am hoping that my experiences have been what they seemed to be - travel to the astral world, comfort from my loved ones that have crossed over, and an affirmation that we are spirits inhabiting a physical form. But that's just a guess...
