PSI Abilities...I Think Not.

Disclaimer : I'm not trying to disrespect anybody here. Just at least read what I have to say without quickly dismissing it.

Here's what I think about all of these "PSI abilities", from what I read (and wasted a part of my life) on yesterday :

a) I'll just start off by saying that I do believe in lucid dreaming, because it's science, and you're asleep, and it's your imagination. I imagine it would still feel cool though, which is why I try to become lucid and keep a small journal. I DO NOT let lucid dreaming get in the way of reality though.

B) Now for a general statement about all of these magical things : it's bull. I do not know how all of you guys think that you actually can suck energy from the earth or sun and do things with it. It's just not possible, it's all in your head.

c) PSI balls? In your imagination. I wasted about 10 minutes of my life trying to make one, and I actually believed in it for that 10 minutes, and pictured myself "sucking" in energy from the sun, and then the earth. Well guess what, I saw nothing but air between my hands. People that think they see these things, it's in their head.

d) Astral projections? It's all in your head. You can imagine that you seperate yourself from your body, but it's just all your imagination. Why do you think people are confined to mental institutes? It's because their brain is telling them things that make them believe things that are not normal.

e) Force fields? Ok, make a force field, and I'll come over and punch you in the face. We'll see how that works.

f) I went to PSIprog.net and read some of the articles, it's all just bull and I actually laughed at it. They say, "yes, you can create energy balls and use psychic powers to tell what number the dice will land on, but you're not going to do it every time". IT'S ALL PROBABILITY. If you say "the dice will land on 3" and it happens, that's because you had a 1/6 chance of doing it, and you actually hit that chance.

g) Just to have some fun, I tried the deck of cards thing. I took the ace of spades, and shuffled it in the deck. I removed 6 cards, shuffled some more, removed 6 cards, etc. I got down to about 10 cards until I hit the ace. I must have powers! Not. It's so funny how they say "yes, use the power to move this tiny shard of paper." Do you know how minute of a disturbance it takes to get a ultra-thin piece of paper to move? And you think your mind did that?

h) PSIprog also uses backup that makes it completely evident that they do not know what the hell they are talking about. They say, "sure, you may say this is impossible and the laws of physics prevent it, but what about time travel? People believe time travel exists, but that's not in physics..." Ok good statement, it's too bad that the laws of physics do not prevent time travel or negate it, but the laws to deny psychic powers, sorry.

i) Hmm, if these telekinetic powers are real, then why hasn't anybody gotten really good at it and taken over the word? I'm sure that of the thousands of people that waste their lives, at least a few of them should be so good at it that they can kill people with their PSI balls or mind power.

j) Please try and think about what you're doing, because it's just going to create a big waste of time for you. Start worrying about reality, not about spending your entire life "seperated in your spritual body in space", reality is what matters.

k) If you choose to not listen to a word I say, well at least you can have fun with yourself for the rest of your life. When everybody labels you a psycho and ridicules you, you can just go live in an astral projection or something like that, at least you'll be at peace with yourself.

Yeah, some of the abilities may not exist, but I know that LDing, S**-***, being a 'guess wizard', & playing telephone are all possible, b/c Michelle & I do them all the time (in fact, Michelle was at a lottery, her mom was going to pick a lottery #, she told her mom to pick another certain number, & they win $1 mil). I am still in training, though...b/c I can only score high on Card Concentration (1:5) & Classic Skating Lotteries (1:20) :oops: ....
S**-*** can be real if you are reading open books!!

I totaly agree.

However, telepathy is real.

I tried animal telepathy once, and it worked. Freaked me out. I got my dog, and cat, to come to me, and I could tell I was 'contacting' them because they would look at me wide eyed, and do what i visualized in my head.

Hey, I got a random cat in the street to come up to me. My friend is my witness, to.

But the other stuff is bull.

This is why I think Christianity lables it as 'evil' so people will fear it, and not bother with it, and try to convince others to stop it, so that they will not have to waste their lives on this junk.

Lucid Dreaming, however, is perfectly possiable. It also makes sense logicly. You are asleep, dreaming. BOOM. Something happens, and you become self-aware, and aware you are dreaming. Since it is YOUR mind, you can minpulate it.

It all makes sense, really.

I don't believe that either. I would bet you $100 that if you sat my dog across the room, and I sat on the other side and looked at her, she would come running to me. Same goes with the cat on the street, it is lonely, and will go to anybody it sees.

No...the cat had an owner. It was out doing its own thing. My friend knew the cats owner, and she sees the cat in the owners house.

As for my dog....I was upstairs, and he was downstairs when it really worked. I said nothing, just pictured him next to me, and BAM. He walks up the stairs, and is sits next to me. I even got him to do all of his tricks, without actually asking him.

Telepathy = real (if you put your mind to it...no pun intended)

i'm with ya man. i don't think most of this stuff is real. Lucid Dreaming of course is. Telepathy might be real, to an extent. Like this stuff called....can't remember. anyways, it lets you kind see something that not really infront of you.Only reason i believe in that kind of stuff is cause the CIA was working on it and actually uses it. Then again, its realistic. they will tell you right off the bat that its not some kind of great power. There a bunch of steps you have to follow and a bunch of limitations. Reason the CIA does it is cause in one of the wars (can't remember which. i think desert storm or nam) a genera; was captured and they found his location using this technique.

Yes, the Freemason societies and the forces of Atheism, behind the guise of science have made Skepticism very respectable, but until they burn down the libraries, there is plenty of Documented Evidence for all sorts of Miracles. the Catholics have kept the best records, but the Hindus, Sufis, and Buddhists were also not above keeping notes.

But, yes, you do have a point that these powers are exceptionally rare these days. The last Big Saint was Padre Pio who died in 1968. The only Miracle Worker I know of who is alive at the present moment is Pralad Jani in India. there was a study done at the Sterling Hospital verifying that his claim to have gone without food and drink for 60 years could well be true (they observed him non-stop for 10 days and he lost no body weight and was not worse for wear having eaten or drank nothing for that time).

My own angels have come and told me that the World in now presently undergoing a Spiritual Drought. Spiritual Powers will return only after the People's of the Three Higher Religions (the People of the Three Mountains, in dream parlance) find their way to the Lake of Spiritual Water. I saw it in my dream, on a map. It was huge. It was just to the East of the most SouthEast of the three mountains.

If you're a christian, then why do you even believe in telepathy? All of that stuff is against the Bible.

Yes, he \"claimed\". Again, this is not physically possible.

Sure, you saw it in a dream, not in real life. You could see the map of Atlantis in a dream, doesn't mean it's real. "Spiritual powers" are not meant for humans, they are for God. And I assume that because you claim you have spoken to your angels, you must have some aspect of religion in you. Of course we're in Spritual Drought, we have people all the time killing innocent people because of their "religion". If people started looking for spirituality, they would also see that these PSI powers are against what they are trying to believe in.

You went into each thing you have tried not truely believing it is real. So why even try?
I certainly respect your choices. However, just as in waking life if you don't give something a chance it is unlikley to happen.
In addition to that if you had experianced any of these experiances you may be able to look at them from an entirley new and unabstructed vantage point.

Why are u so bloody shallow? I get pissed when you talk about telekinesis. There are videos to show it is true. There are quite a handful of people in dreamviews forum who practice telekinesis. Have you gone to http://www.ppsociety.com ? A whole forum on people who practice telekinesis. Even videos. Are you trying to tell us that all these members on the site are lying? Moving a tin foil or paper is easy. But it's extremely difficult to "take over the world" with it. One will need many many weeks, months or even years of practice before being able to just move a pencil. You should try it yourself. They dont "waste their lifes" doing these stuffs. They are interested in such things and therefore try practicing it themselves. It's their hobby. I mean, some people have a whole shelf of collectables, such as action figures, hello kitties and all those. Collecting stamps, stickers, bottle caps, etc. Are you trying to say these are all a waste of time?????? :(

I took more time on it than I even should have. Just please tell me how you can \"suck\" energy from the earth and make a ball of energy with it? How does this happen? You cannot simply create a ball of energy out of nothing. You guys are just hallucinating these things, you're just convincing yourself that you actually did move that piece of foil .00001mm, or you did make a little blue ball of energy.

Maybe that's because that the slightest imbalnce will get a piece of foil to move a little, but maybe, just maybe, the reason it may take a person days, months, or years, to move a pencil, is just because that these slight imbalances that will move a piece of foil are not great enough to move something with the mass of a pencil. When you get lucky and some outside force (air) does get the pencil to move, you get excited and think you moved it with your mind.

When I see people throwing objects and other people with their telekinetic powers, I'll believe it, trust me.

It's more than just a hobby to most people. This shit takes over their lives.

I'd rather have a stamp collection and have my friends say "yeah, that's pretty cool, kind of boring, but o.k.", then have them say "whacko...". Reality means something to me :roll:.

Excuse me, for your information...we usually close our windows, doors, off the fan and cut out all wind sources. We breathe through our nose and not our mouth so that the wind moves downwards. Some people even cover their noses with cloth. We dont put out hands too close so heat will not affect the movement. When using a straw, we check whether there's static. And once ppl get a hand of the psi wheel movement, they are able to change it's direction, make it spin continuously...."air?"...i don't think it's some breeze or wind anymore huh!

I take everyone's perspective into account. So I have listened to what you have said.
I myself have difficulties believing in a lot of these abilities. But I will not allow the public view because it is in the majority to close my mind to anything. I don't want to be a sheep like the rest of the linier minded thinking individuals I often run into. I would rather be labled a physco and be able to think outside the little box that society has constructed for us all to believe than to be accepted.

To drop the egoes passion to be accpeted is a big step towards not being bothered by wether my friends think what I have is cool. To liberate yourself from the confines of other's judgment.
You want to speak of things taking over peoples lives. Well there you have it. It is acceptance. A pothetic vision people have in order to fit in with the masses.
And as far as waking life. Lucid dreaming has brought more awareness to my waking life than I ever could have imagined before hand.

Perhaps because the ability is incredibly weak and useless, except for the occasional exception (eg. Ninel Kulagina)
So these people who spend their lives practicing struggle to barely move a pencil with it.

As for telepathy, I personally believe there may be something there, based on my shared dream experience.
There's an interesting book on it by a scientifically minded guy - Rupert Sheldrake -called 'The sense of being stared at'

He previously examined the records of people with animals that seemed telepathic, and then looked for the same records in humans. He has a lot to say on it.

I find it interesting that every 'claim' is considered equivalent to a lie. You see, that was what I was warning about when I perceived that this Page was turning into a Culture of Lies -- it becomes assumed that every assertion is a lie. yes, it is a very safe and conservative assumption, but if there were not so many liars cluttering up the World, then perhaps we could enjoy the luxury of pondering some 'claims' on the assumption that they may perhaps be true. After all, Columbus came back to Spain 'claiming' to have discovered America. Not every claim is a lie.

that Pralad Djani 'claims' to have not eaten is not necessarily a lie. What other word would you use. There is no absolute 24 hour a day record on any of our lives going back 60 years. But there are witnesses who go all the way back. They would not have conducted a very expensive Study to verify Pralad Djani's 'claim' unless they had gone through some very elaborate screening and vetting first. They would not even have bothered to look unless they already suspected there was something to see. In this day and age nobody has a great deal of money to waste.

What bothers me about these people that claim to not require eating is that they have been tested time and time again, and each time they either begin to show the strain, or they attempt to cheat.
It'd be highly interesting if any of them are actually genuine, of course.

Info: There are a variety of groups of non-eaters, the breatharians being the most well known. Others involve eg. sucking up the sun's rays instead of food. James Randi (the skeptic/magician with the $1mil challenge) has tested a couple of them and found them lacking so far.

Like when we greet each other, others think we are quacks b/c it seems that we don't talk w/each other...shows what they know...the only ones that receive a telephone message is the one peering into my motionless eyes..... :lol: . Well, & it is just nice to do that if we want to keep secrets... :D

Perhaps just a different technique of doing it, but you'd still be making a connection to a particular person and exchanging thoughts.

Nope, even though the James freak has been to my website, he won't come back, b/c I told him to shut up & get the heck out of my website....
Also, I think Michelle & I will have our own experiment center, maybe at my house...(she will help me increase my guessing skills...she is really good if she knew the lottery number out of 1 mil, & she already has $1 mil from the lottery), plus, we have stagefright (I tend not to do well when other people are watching me.
Besides, I already have a special place to play telephone w/Michelle: Special Needs. It isn't just for the mentally impaired, but there have been about 5 incidents where they are mentally enhanced like Michelled....& that experiment camp was so cool!! Testing among friends is more useful to train yourself or to feel more certain about it for yourself. Perhaps when you're more confident around others you should try having it tested by eg. a university dept?

Just a thought :) You'd be doing people a favour if you can demonstrate it to everyone :)

If you can give solid evidence of telepathy, you'd be helping millions. If you share the lottery with the poor, you'd be only helping hundreds (if that)

Actually, Mexico & Africa are pretty poor, & if I gave them each at least $10 G(if I won a lottery)....they would be going into a buffet restaurant & porking out...so it is actually millions...but maybe we should talk about this through PM?
No way am I going to go into one.....I would much rather stick my head into a dumpster (I have done that as a janitor, anyways!)

hepennypacker52, I pretty much agree with everything you said. I just have to word it a bit more subtly else people get upset. :P But still, there is indeed a chance that this is all right - however insanely minute it may be - but until the people that can apparently do this, well, do it, then I'm not believing a word of it.

No offence, but this stuff is C-R-A-P. Even if you do close all doors, windows, shut off all fans, cover you mouth and nose, etc. There is always air flowing through a room, CONTINUOUSLY. When you walk into a room, the air that is created by you walking, even if you can't feel it, can last for hours. How do you think that all objects that you place on shelves ( I'm talking about heavy objects ) eventually fall off? The wind which is to small for our bodies to sense moves it .001 of a mm at a time, maybe only about twice a day. So don't say there is no wind. Unless your doing this in outer space away from any light source, or in two rooms with glass separating you from the room with the object in it, both rooms are pitch black, and the room with the object had had an air tight seal on it for at least a year, then try moving the object with your "POWERS" through the glass. See? There is a perfectly logical explanation for everything. The heat, which comes for a light, or the sun, will create heat waves, which in turn create a movement of air, creating a wave for the object to ride on.

There, everything is solved. If you want to post some other crap about how you can move objects with your mind I would be pleased to disprove it, and throw the statement in the trash :D. So unless you can give a public demonstration about how you can move things with you mind, in the setting I described, using those no-heat lights that cost a shit load of money to see the object, then I and the other 90% of the of the populating will not believe in telekinesis.

This is argument is as ever old as it gets, however I would like to say a few things after reading through it all (not necessarily concerning whether I personally believe in psi or not)

First of all, if you are into psi or anything similiar, then a true friend shouldn't be calling you weirdo, whether he believes in them to be real or not. Sometimes we have to open up our minds a bit more, there are millions of people out there who believe in a god who created an entire planet, is all powerful and all knowing, could smite anybody he would want to, and has a giant heavenly kingdom we shall all go to (if we behave anyway, else we shall burn in an endless fiery cavern). For some reason, that is accepted as a common, normal thing to believe in. Yet, something like psi is regarded as crap, bullshit, rubbish etc. Seems abit silly to me. Now Im sure a lot of you might say 'all that christian stuff is bull aswell', but you get my point. One 'normal'/'common' person would sooner accept somebody believing in the christian idea than in psi abilities, astral projection etc etc. Then we truly are a herd, going with the masses?

Now, I'm not saying I wholy believe in such abilities or have such abilities for the matter, but I have no reason whatsoever to consider them to be bullshit, much like I have no reason to consider christianity bullshit. I say, sure it is quite possible, why not in this amazing world, I am just not interested in it myself. I have no desire for such abilities, but if anybody else does, I would certainly support them.

Finally, if somebody seems slightly on the 'obsessed' side, that is a bad thing of course. Getting obsessed with anything, is a bad thing.And I believe that things like psi abilities have sorta been given to the people (by others) as some sort of junkfood spirituality (like other things).. But I do think that when 'floaty stuff like that' becomes more than a hobby, thats fine. Whatever floats your boat, some people deticate their lives to being popular and making lots of friends..others to other things. Again, whatever floats your boat. As long as are happy and you dont hurt others with it, and it would be nice if you could help some others along the way.

Just felt like saying all that, dont mind me..I know it doesn't add anything to the discussion whether psi is real or not, but yes or no wasn't really relevant to me I guess :D ^_^

But describing it as impossible to prove because of wind and light is a bit unfair perhaps. If an object moves in a way that is consciously intended, and predetermined, then there's a lot more to be asked than a bit of wind or light.
Eg. moving something, even an unstable one, in a particular sequence and way that is predetermined and not 'natural' (eg wind)
Perhaps 60 seconds on / off in alternating directions, as an example

My point is that you can form an experiment that's a bit more convincing without totally eliminating wind and light.

Besides, it's all relative. If I could roll a pencil on a table back and forth, we wouldn't discuss wind :P

If people are so good at predicting big lottery numbers, then why doesn't someone who is REALLY good at this just travel around state-to-state winning all of the multiple million dollar lotteries? Don't you think something like that would oh say, hit the news? If all of this stuff was real, then it would be very publicitized.

There is a natural structure that does not allow someone to take over the world through some ability like this, mainly because anyone evolved enough to have such power revealed to them as a result does not use it in this way, because of their understanding.
The power is not used on pointless things. Its not like when you have this amazing technology and you are not spiritually evolved enough to handle it so you destroy yourself through it. Once you get these abilitys the natural result is there is a maturity and a different mode of consiousness that comes in with this. And it may not make sense to someone who doesn't yet understand it.

The ones that go down the other road and get their power from the masters of dark will not succeed either. Their power is finite and depends heavly on illusion and their use of deception.

It's wise not to restrict your potential, or close yourself off to possibilities because of strongly held beliefs that are not recongized as such and mistaken for absolute truth.

Hm, I never really bother to read Volont's posts in depth. Too many "lady oracles" and references to obscure hocky-wocky things that I'll never possibly understand in my lifetime. (Not for lack of trying, though).

No, I think he would get that shiny bigger one. Randi does happen to sort of act as a major figurehead to a whole community of people that pretty much try and hound down all these claims of psi-activity, supernatural, blah blah blah, so I think word would get to him pretty quick. Perhaps even the first person in a quick chain.

Besides, I don't think (all) supernatural phonema are patentable. Well, to be quite honest I'm not sure (the law doesn't really get too in depth about what to do if you want to patent flying pink elephants).

If you can explain the whole theory in a non-boring way to me about how you harvest the energy from the earth, sun, etc. and tell me what logic lets you use it and stuff like that, I might believe you. I just don't get it.

People also say wands work by having a crystal at the end to harvest natural enery, but how does it harvest the energy, where does the energy come from, how is the energy made, and other stuff like that.

I'm not asking about wands though, I'm asking about telekinesis and stuff like that.

Ok, I just want to understand the lottery thing. Did she tell her mom, "no don't pick that one pick another," or did she say "no don't pick that one pick number 5"? And how many numbers were on the lottery ticket? Her mom must've had a feeling about the rest of the numbers - I'm sure there's more than one number to guess on a million dollar payout - so isn't her mom extra special? It's luck, nothing more, nothing less. People have hunches all the time and sometimes they win the lottery, but it's still just dumb luck when you do.

And how many numbers were on the lottery ticket? Her mom must've had a feeling about the rest of the numbers - I'm sure there's more than one number to guess on a million dollar payout - so isn't her mom extra special? It's luck, nothing more, nothing less. People have hunches all the time and sometimes they win the lottery, but it's still just dumb luck when you do.

NO!! I didn't make a heat ball! I was just starring at that fork...then a person's water bucket spills almost on the vaccum cleaner...I get stressed, & try to get the water to get away from it, but it was pretty hot while I was doing this(not my hands, the room!), & I'd say that the heat from the room severed it, b/c it severed on its own! Look into physics....it wasn't me, it was physics!

I really don't know which month...she didn't tell me. I can tell you this...if the last name ends in Olson, it is probably her (she is 24 after all!)....I know she did, but maybe it was decided to be kept confidential or something...after all, she wants to avoid that James freak as much as she can...b/c he bothers her!...Maybe she made up a name....she is very good at doing that

Again, seeing with one's own eyes. Even most advanced psychics and psychokinesis practicioners don't see with their eyes the energies they manipulate with. Only the results can be seen. If you're interested in seeing them, here and here would be some video proofs of one of the most famous PK practicioners, Ninel Kulagina. If You'd be really interested in finding proofs, You'd find them.

I wasn't being allegorical with this. You didn't answer my request. I wanted to make an offer for anyone to assure me that he or she exists beyond my own mind. How could I be sure that after my death, this world exists? It exists because we want it to exist. If a person is colour-blind, then for him/her, the colours he cannot perceive, just don't exist. If a person is insane and sees daytime hallucinations, then the things hes/she sees, exist. And the everybody agrees, that he/she sees something. Something that might be just in the person's head, but it's there.
If a person is depressed, the world for the person might be gray and sad, full of misery, again when a person is happy, then the world for him/her is also happy and full of bright colours. We have the ability to create our own point of view, and with doing that, our own world.

So who will win the bout between Psi and Non-Psi? Will it be Psychedelic, will it be Kaniaz? I am putting all my money on nobody. If you people think you are going to convince one another of your own beliefs, you have not been debating for very long. Let's just put it this way. Until someone with psi powers decides to come out in the open and show their powers once and for all to the whole world, instead of having psi abilities being hidden obscurely and "conveniently" in the background, they don't exist.

Yes, we already know that. But that never stopped anybody from arguing. If we all go off to our corners and huff, how can you ever expect a resolution? At least when I argue with psychedelic, I know his point of view on psi powers. Then, perhaps, there's a slither of a chance to actually get somewhere.

It is said that it took her about two hours to prepare to move an object, her pulse would quicken, and the kinesis was said to be very physically taxing. My posts are not meant to convince anyone of anything, just providing information for someone who might be slightly interested.

My final thoughts.
When PSI isn't (yet?) scientifically proven, why can't it exist? You seem to go by the idea \"guilty until proven innocent\". When there were no machines invented that could perceive InfraRed and UltraViolet light, didn't they still exist? Yes, they did.
Some steps have been made in order to prove the PSI-phenomena, and it is called Kirlian Photography, though it's not the main purpose of this. Pictures made before and after doing a PK/Energy Healing session showed a rather big difference in the energy field of the person performing these things. Then again, a skeptic could find Kirlian Photography to be another form of tricking the science-centered minds.
And again, if You'd be really interested in finding proof on PK, You'd find them. Some \\\"not shady videos\\\", if You're interested.
There have been official scientific experiments with some well-known psychics, but why they aren't covered on the Mass Media remains unknown. At least for most people.

Ahhhh the great "Is Psi Real?" debate. You'll have to excuse me ahead of time if I take a long time to reply... my life is pretty hectic, and I'm busy a lot. Nonetheless, I couldn't help but stick my nose in and throw a few ideas out there ;) .

Here's what I think about all of these "PSI abilities", from what I read (and wasted a part of my life) on yesterday :

You spent one day reading about psi abilities and have already concluded something? That's amazing, considering there are thousands of intelligent people dedicated to the field of figuring it out, that have spent their entire lives...

B) Now for a general statement about all of these magical things : it's bull. I do not know how all of you guys think that you actually can suck energy from the earth or sun and do things with it. It's just not possible, it's all in your head.

Ok this really isn't an argument... "it's fake because it's fake!". Of course, you do present right at the end that you think it's all in our heads. I agree that people must be careful when experimenting with things outside the scope of modern science, and they must be very skeptical. I also agree that a lot of people who believe in psychic things might be delusional, and it is probably all in their head. However - that does not mean EVERY person who believes in psychic topics is delusional.

There are ways to prove it isn't all in our head. For example, if I can make a warm psi ball, and throw it at a digital thermometer, and the reading on the thermometer goes up... wouldn't that be proof that SOMETHING is going on? Or what about the videos at PsiPog.net (not "PsiProg" :P ) of psychokinesis? Even if the videos are produced by "normal" means (which, in my opinion, they aren't), they still aren't in our heads. The objects definitly MOVE in the videos. While you might argue that they move via "normal" means is another topic all together - the point being, it isn't just "in our heads".

c) PSI balls? In your imagination. I wasted about 10 minutes of my life trying to make one, and I actually believed in it for that 10 minutes, and pictured myself "sucking" in energy from the sun, and then the earth. Well guess what, I saw nothing but air between my hands. People that think they see these things, it's in their head.

People have taken pictures of visible psi. And just because you can't do it in 10 minutes doesn't mean it's impossible. Don't you think you would need to spend a LITTLE more time before deciding whether it's real or not? Like the one member said earlier - if you tried to play the piano in 10 minutes, you would suck ass. But that doesn't mean it's impossible.

d) Astral projections? It's all in your head. You can imagine that you seperate yourself from your body, but it's just all your imagination. Why do you think people are confined to mental institutes? It's because their brain is telling them things that make them believe things that are not normal.

If you are serious about researching AP, I would highly recommend the book: Journeys Out of the Body by Robert Monroe. It's only like $10, and it's very scientific in nature. It explores the possibility of it being "all in our head" throughly.

e) Force fields? Ok, make a force field, and I'll come over and punch you in the face. We'll see how that works.

Force Bubbles have been used to stop forces greater than your punch. Again, you're not really presenting a logical argument here other than "man, they just can't be real!".

f) I went to PSIprog.net and read some of the articles, it's all just bull and I actually laughed at it. They say, "yes, you can create energy balls and use psychic powers to tell what number the dice will land on, but you're not going to do it every time". IT'S ALL PROBABILITY. If you say "the dice will land on 3" and it happens, that's because you had a 1/6 chance of doing it, and you actually hit that chance.

Yes, believe it or not we are aware of probability. In fact, all serious psi researchers are. Statistics and probability are used to PROVE psi exists, actually. For example, if you try to force a 3 on a die, and you roll it 100 times... probability says it will land on 3 about 16 or 17 times. Now what if you actually roll it 100 times and it comes up on 3 over 60 times. That is very significant. Things like standard deviation and z-score are used to determine if something paranormal has happened.

g) Just to have some fun, I tried the deck of cards thing. I took the ace of spades, and shuffled it in the deck. I removed 6 cards, shuffled some more, removed 6 cards, etc. I got down to about 10 cards until I hit the ace. I must have powers! Not. It's so funny how they say "yes, use the power to move this tiny shard of paper." Do you know how minute of a disturbance it takes to get a ultra-thin piece of paper to move? And you think your mind did that?

You addressed two topics here. The first is about the cards... That card game is actually pretty fun, and I've done it to the point of having the target card be the last card I turn over. That's actually not very likely, according to probability. Of course... things like that take more practice other than "hey, let me give this a shot, then when I fail I will have more evidence that psi is fake".

You also addressed the pinwheel. While I agree that there are people who aren't correctly preparing the pinwheel, and it is just moving by "normal" means... there are actually people out there that are more anal than you about minute disturbances, and dedicate a lot of time to remove every little disturbance - and then STILL move the pinwheel in the direction they are trying to. See Placebo's posts :P .

h) PSIprog also uses backup that makes it completely evident that they do not know what the hell they are talking about. They say, "sure, you may say this is impossible and the laws of physics prevent it, but what about time travel? People believe time travel exists, but that's not in physics..." Ok good statement, it's too bad that the laws of physics do not prevent time travel or negate it, but the laws to deny psychic powers, sorry.

While I agree that that argument is pretty weak, keep in mind I wrote it when I was 15 :P . The laws of physics don't really say psychic powers are impossible... In fact, research quantum physics and you'll find a lot of bizarre laws that you never thought modern science would support - for example, a particle being in two places at once, and phasing out of existance when not being observed.

I agree that reality is what matters. Although you don't really provide any definition for reality other than "normal stuff that doesn't include psychic things". Perhaps you should be inspecting reality a little more closely?

Actually, I thought that at first. But the more I open up to people about my strange obsession, the more people come to me with their own experiences, saying that they don't think it's strange at all, and they believe in what I say (at varying degrees). It's actually quite common for a person to have strange psychic experiences in their life. My one friend used to have a ghost in their house when she was little, and never really told anyone. My other friend has precognitive dreams, and never told anyone except her mother (who also has precognitive dreams). Another friend thought I was completely crazy... then tried to pinwheel exercise out of curiousity and succeeded... and then was freaked out :P .

My suggestion isn't that you immediately accept everything that I say and get obsessive about psychic abilities and practice hard every day to become this super master psychic. My suggestion would be: If you are going to invest some time in deciding whether this stuff is fake or not, invest a LITTLE more time than one day (if you're serious enough). Perhaps grab a book or two, do a little reading, try some exercises out... maybe spend one month checking it out. If after a month you don't get any results, and you still find it to be completely bull... then fair enough. At least you looked into it a little more than 10 minutes :P .

Reality is basically, for me, whatever slots in perfectly (or close enough) based on your past observations. For example, I observe that my room is empty. It looks like the forum is divided between hardcore science followers and occultists :D I must say that I believe in psi/magic. However there will never be enough evidence to prove the existence of psi/magic to the unbelieving.

Pretty much the more success with magic/psi you have the more faith you have, but you can never fully extinguish the doubt. Even being able to perform certain things yourself will never be enough.
The benefit of the doubt is always there: "Oh, it was just a strange coincidence"... "That's just a trick"... and so on.

The followers of science feel more "secure" with their beliefs. Yet the science is still very young, and it's lagging behind the human thought. Thousands of years ago people came up with the certain concepts that werent discovered until recently (think of discoveries of ancient greek philosophers, who used only the power of reasoning to come up with their ideas).

The attitude " I believe it when I see it" is reasonable, except that most people dont put any effort into actually "seeing" anything. They expect everything to be given to them on a silver platter :D

There are numerous abilites hidden deep within our minds, but it's impossible to even comprehend them with the usual "baseline" consciousness... Unfortunately methods of seeing beyond the scope of baseline consciousness are either illegal or hard to teach... (most drugs are banned and not many people know how to meditate, channel or achieve gnosis)

I got a problem with some of the skeptics here. I'm probably making a HUGE mistake in posting, but I'll do it anyway...
I've been doing this stuff my ENITRE life. I was BORN this way. I've been doing it since I was a CHILD. I see energy, I feel energy. I DO NOT talk to the dead, or see the future like Sylvia Browne or John Edwards. That's not me, but what I do do does fall into the catagory as 'psychic.'
I beat my head into the ground trying to figure out what was wrong with me. I went to doctors, I FORCED my parents to take me to psychiatrist after psychiatrist. Both my mom and dad are mental health workers.
I respect other people's views. I like skeptics. I don't want publicity. I don't want money. I don't want the fame and stuff that comes wiht being 'proven.' I jsut wanna be left alone.
I acutally DO know psychics that would be VERY pissed off if someone DID prove psychic abilities. They go up to Vegas and use their abilities to win money. Some are even addicted--not to psi, but to gambling.
I spent SOOO many years of my life worried sick about my sanity. It tore me apart.
I didn't believe in this stuff either. I thought what happened to me was normal--that everybody can do it.
It was a REALLY hard reality check when I found out that it wasn't normal.
Why don't I go out and win the lottery?
I'm tried of people. I'm tired of 'Well, you're psychic! PROVE IT!' and then getting pissed off at me when I do. I'm tried of being called names, of being stared at because I forget not to say something. I'm tired of people asking questions after questions about nearly everything. I'm tired of helping people that don't even say thank you, and just come back and do it again and again and again. I'm tired of the skeptics that come as different people trying to prove my own insanity to me. I'm tried of people using me. I'm tired of being different. To me, I'm normal, it's everyone else that has the issues.
I am only 19 and I'm already tired inside. I can't tell you what my life is like. I can't tell you what it's like to be psychic. I can't tell you anything. I didn't even know I was until someone pointed it out to me. I can never truly get you to understand how hard it is.

I just want to help. That's all. I want my own little quiet space in the world and be left alone.
I'm not a miracle worker. I'm not blessed by god. I'm not anything. I'm a girl. I'm a person. I just have an ability...like some have an ability to play football really well and another has an ability to create great art. This is mine. When you look into psi, look for people. Not Gods. We are not gods. We're never going to levitate cars. It's not fair to push that image on us. Have you ever thought about how many people you're hurting?
Sometimes, those people are alot younger than you think they'd be--alot younger than being a teenager, or even a preteen.

e) Force fields? Ok, make a force field, and I'll come over and punch you in the face. We'll see how that works.

f) I went to PSIprog.net and read some of the articles, it's all just bull and I actually laughed at it. They say, "yes, you can create energy balls and use psychic powers to tell what number the dice will land on, but you're not going to do it every time". IT'S ALL PROBABILITY. If you say "the dice will land on 3" and it happens, that's because you had a 1/6 chance of doing it, and you actually hit that chance.

g) Just to have some fun, I tried the deck of cards thing. I took the ace of spades, and shuffled it in the deck. I removed 6 cards, shuffled some more, removed 6 cards, etc. I got down to about 10 cards until I hit the ace. I must have powers! Not. It's so funny how they say "yes, use the power to move this tiny shard of paper." Do you know how minute of a disturbance it takes to get a ultra-thin piece of paper to move? And you think your mind did that?

h) PSIprog also uses backup that makes it completely evident that they do not know what the hell they are talking about. They say, "sure, you may say this is impossible and the laws of physics prevent it, but what about time travel? People believe time travel exists, but that's not in physics..." Ok good statement, it's too bad that the laws of physics do not prevent time travel or negate it, but the laws to deny psychic powers, sorry.

While I'm not one to neccarily believe in sycics, psi, or really any mystical powers, you really came off as a gerk from that post mate. In case you didn't realise, this whole forum called Beyond Dreaming is a forum where thiose who do believe in this kind of thing can discuss and talk about their experinces/believes. Its also a place that they are supposed to be given a place to talk freely without those who don't believe them telling them how "insane" they are. Although its ok for the occasional critic to come a long as long as he is respectful to others discussing their beliefs, its not ok for someone like you to label them as "insane", "crazy", or people whio "waste their life". Please be a little nicer mate, whenever you agree or disagree with them, their people too.

Spongelogan: You're right. He came off as a real jerk, and what he said was leaving out alot of us--like those born that way. I thought it was very mean and only half thought out. I respect his views, I like critics, but I wish he hadn't come off as such a jerk. I came here to post, because a lot of you sounded like you were looking for god, and not people, when it came to psychics. As someone born that way, I thought my imput would help. When Hepen was posting, he came off as someone that really doesn't know what he's talking about. There are SOOO many misconceptions about psychic abilities...it's really sad. I'm not meaning to mean offense to anyone. I'm sorry if I sound that way. My deepest apologies.

Goldney: I can see/feel energy--any type of energy. I can heal. Empathy and other abilities along those lines. I'm not going to say it all so I don't give anyone reason to do anything to me. I'm not a precog or a medium. I'm not like those people, like Sylvia Browne, preaching how my abilities come from god and all that.
Again, I was born this way. I didn't learn it. My parents arn't spritiual or even into stuff like this. They're not newage, as some people tend to think people like me come from.

Her talents eventually earned her an exorcism, after which she became withdrawn, barely speaking, and eventually commited suicide. Just a happy little story I thought I'd share.

Not very often, but now and then, I know what's going to happen in certain situations. I once knew the outcome of some sports games, it just came to me and stopped me dead in my tracks. I was able to use that knowledge to win some money. I hadn't learned to trust that feeling at the time, so I didn't be that much, but it was a longshot ticket, paying out 300 dollars for every 2 I put down.

As to your Aunt--yeah, I've heard stories about that. I know people that have nightmares from their abilities...that can never get help at all. Some have to live in secrecy all the time, making excuses for various things.
I'm glad I dont' have to live like that. I know my parents won't chain me to the bed and try to kick out a demon that's not there, or kick me out or anything. :) I'm grateful for my family. I know things can get A LOT worse.
Mostly now it's just people getting kicked out and having to live with a friend or something. I knew one girl that tried to warn her mother about soemthing, her mother thought she set it up or something like that. I don't know exactly what happened, but it caused alot of tension until eventually her mother tossed her out and said she didn't want to see her.
She ended up living wiht a friend of mine. She finished high school and moved around alot.
Her and her mother, to my knowledge, still don't speak to each other.
When people say 'sometimes you should just keep yoru mouth shut,' she made a point of proving it. I feel sorry for her... :(

Wow, I almost regret reading that post. I'm pretty sure I have the natural ability to read imprinted emotions, and they're pretty common on forums. That post of your's though, I can't really describe how horrible I felt while reading it. So much sadness... so much depression, it was almost unbearable. I guess this means I'm definitely going to have to learn to shield, even if it's just to protect myself from posts like that. At least I can understand you a bit though, you're saying that what many would consider a gift you feel is actually a curse. If you really have as much sadness in you as I felt, your life must be absolutely horrible when it comes to your abilities. I can't even begin to imagine what your life must be like, with people bothering you all the time, asking for proof if they find out about your abilities, and then telling everyone they know that you're some kind of freak so that you can't get a moment's peace with no consideration for your feelings what-so-ever.
Your post has made me think about something though; when I was five I was pretty good at aerokinesis, but I never thought much of it and had completely lost the ability by the time I was in sixth grade. But what if I had thought of it as something special, and had realized that I had to use it to keep it, what would I be like now? Would everyone around me have found out about it, and branded me as a freak years ago, back when I was incredibly susceptible to insults? That definitely would've been hard on me, and there's no telling what I'd have turned out like. Despite this possibility, however, a part of me will always miss that power, and regret my lack of attention toward it as a child. You'd most likely regret giving up your ability now as well, had you managed to do so when you were young. Oh well, I suppose I've typed enough, perhaps too much, so I'll cut it off here.

Somtimes, it's hard to be what I am, but I'm grateful that I am this way because it stops me from being horrible to others. It gives me a view on the world that it unique. While others can only imagine how a person feels or what they're thinking, I can acutally know, so I know how to help them.

It's alright, I'm going to have to learn to tolerate strong emotions like that if I want to learn to use it consciously. I can only seem to pick up sadness right now, that emotion must just be stronger than most. Hopefully someday I'll even extend my abilities to empathy and telepathy, at which point I'll need to be able to take strong surges of emotion. All the same, it's nice to know a bit about other people's psionic abilities, even if there's some particularly strong emotions mixed in.

I so identify with some of the things you guys said! Since I've been practicing meditation and doing other spiritual exercises sometimes I just can't help but to suffer for other people's pain and sensing that sometimes people aren't being honest with themselves and others. I'm going to take a psychology course so that I can help people with this without them knowing it.

Judia, do you believe in ascended masters? If so, you should ask for guidance from them, cause things get sooo much better when you have help from them, your life just changes. I'm saying this cause I notice you're kind of lost on how to deal with this stuff and on what to do with your abillities.

I guess we're turning this skeptic thread into psychic talk XD Sorry guys... Next time don't try to discredit what you don't know about. You don't have any sort of "powers" or "gifts" so of course they don't exist to you... Plus, spirituallity is something personal, you can't prove it scientifically... i cant say for sure all the things i havent tried, like telekenisis or energy attacks or telepathy, are real, but with the large amount of articles, forums, and people on those forums, there is at least some truth to it. if you told most people about lucid dremaing, they would either be very skeptical about how powerful you claim it can be, or outright call you a nutjob.

ive had brief bursts of psychic ability, heres one i had was a few years ago....

i was in the park with a friend walking around and then i suddenly stopped and crouched down....i told my friend i could 'feel' that something was there, he didnt believe me, then i moved my hand over the grass and out of it came a piece of paper, i unfolded it and it was a £20 note...

ive also had about 3 shared dreams (that i know of) and 1 was lucid and intended....

the most recent event was when i went on a school trip with my class, we went to france to study the second world war trenches... then i remembered a dream i had where i was in the same spot, and i described to the person next to me in great detail what the next room held.....he was shocked when we went in the room/underground chambre for it to be exactly how i described it. but then he dismissed it as luck or coincidence...

ive also been able to describe a place i have never been before and have no idea about where it is.....

and recently ive been drifting off in class, this leads to images to go into my head....one was of my geography teacher sitting on the edge of a desk and someone next to her throwing a pencil over her head at someone else on the other side of the class.... she didnt notice and continued to talk about how hot it was and began fanning herself with a piece of paper... this vision came true about 2 hours after....

so far ive just been putting these things down to coincidence and deja-vu, but i have attempted other techniques, like telekinesis from psipog.net, but have not been able to do them successfully, maybe i should try exploring this ability?????

Besides, I hear that he added a new rule a while ago saying that you have to be famous to even try. People are better off developing precognition and using it to win the lottery. Sean (Creater of Psipog and Alittleweird) is currently trying to win through intent manifestation. Sean also put a little article involving Randi on Psipog.

Also, I'm pretty sure the challenge is to perform any sort of paranormal phenomenon, not just telekinesis.

Actually Astral projection is hinted to in the Bible. The silver cord(a silverycord attatching ones physical body to ones astral body) that is so often mentioned by astral travelers is also mentioned by King Solomon in the Old Testament (ECCLESIASTES 12). Also Paul mentions an out of body experience in 2 Corinthians 12:2. He mentions where he acsended into the third heaven and met Christ and was not sure whether he was in body or out of body.Check it out. I think Astral travel and meditation was natural for the Great Sages of the past, from Abraham to Paul.

Laws of attraction, I am a bit skeptic about but I think it could explain some precognitions.(ie, they weren't actually precognitions but the person made them happen)
pregognito becuase I have done it many many times.
Psychokinesis because I have seen this video and I was able to controll those dust particles that float in the beems of light. (To you sskeptics, didn't use my hands and I was ably to controll songle particles).
Psiballs because I have made a tiny one.(I am quite skeptic though)

That used to happen a lot for me but not so much recently. Also, for many years I would think of something during the day (mostly episodes of shows) and have them turn up a few days later. This has happened over 50 times in the past (mostly with the impsons) and since there's 700 episodes of the simpsons, i don't think it is conincidence. Though it may be the laws of attraction or pregognito. I don't know

i used to have that too quite a lot with the simpsons and other tv shows....also i have a question for those who move psi wheels : how long should you meditate before hand and has anyone actually been able to raise it off the psi wheel????

One of the things I forgot to mention about being psychic is reaction speed. Many times I have reacted to something right before it happens. Just the other day, my friend tried to scare me and before I even knew what was going on, I had picked up a text book and hit him in the face with it. I completely lost control of my body and reacted incredibly quick. The problem is, this cant be forced. I can't use it to win a running race or anything. It only seems to work when I dont expect it. Like when I am talking to someone and I say their next few words.

But remember that just because I believe this, it doesn't make it true. I could be totally wrong. Remember that there are many unexplained "ghost" sightings. I can't raise it, just make the Psiwheel spin slowly. I reccomend 15-30minutes per day for 5-8 days before expecting great results with the wheel.

If I were you I would take my time about investigating PSI abilitites.
Of course PSI is in your head. Where else would you expect to find it?
Playing games with a deck of card a couple times isn't going to do much to show that PSI exists. Consider that abilities of ANY kind are not spread equally throughout the polulation. Most people are musical but out of all those millions some are not going to do better than play "Chop Sticks." Others with practice will be good enough to play in cafes and lounges. A handfull will be concert quality. It's unrealistic to imagine that your going to be anywhere else but the bottom of the ladder when starting out. You may not have that much ability with PSI but that doesn't mean that those that DO have ability are around the bend. There is a lot of good research out there, pro and con, dealing with the subject.
Opinions are like BUTTon holes, everyone has got at least one. WHether yours is worth listening to depends on how well you know your subject. No offense intended but from what you have said and from what I know from years of experience you only seem to know what you have seen on the internet and a few loud debunkers. I'm afraid that won't cut it.

I am a skeptic. I was when I began investigating PSI in the form of Remote Viewing. I took it upon myself to give the subject a fair shake and be OPEN to the possibilities that there MAY be something to it. AFter taking a remote viewing course at www.hrvg.org and sticking with it, I was absolutely blown away by some of my sessions and those of other students.

Just some friendly advice with no intent to offend, but you have alot of home work to do.

e) Force fields? Ok, make a force field, and I'll come over and punch you in the face. We'll see how that works.

f) I went to PSIprog.net and read some of the articles, it's all just bull and I actually laughed at it. They say, "yes, you can create energy balls and use psychic powers to tell what number the dice will land on, but you're not going to do it every time". IT'S ALL PROBABILITY. If you say "the dice will land on 3" and it happens, that's because you had a 1/6 chance of doing it, and you actually hit that chance.

g) Just to have some fun, I tried the deck of cards thing. I took the ace of spades, and shuffled it in the deck. I removed 6 cards, shuffled some more, removed 6 cards, etc. I got down to about 10 cards until I hit the ace. I must have powers! Not. It's so funny how they say "yes, use the power to move this tiny shard of paper." Do you know how minute of a disturbance it takes to get a ultra-thin piece of paper to move? And you think your mind did that?

h) PSIprog also uses backup that makes it completely evident that they do not know what the hell they are talking about. They say, "sure, you may say this is impossible and the laws of physics prevent it, but what about time travel? People believe time travel exists, but that's not in physics..." Ok good statement, it's too bad that the laws of physics do not prevent time travel or negate it, but the laws to deny psychic powers, sorry.

i) Hmm, if these telekinetic powers are real, then why hasn't anybody gotten really good at it and taken over the word? I'm sure that of the thousands of people that waste their lives, at least a few of them should be so good at it that they can kill people with their PSI balls or mind power.

j) Please try and think about what you're doing, because it's just going to create a big waste of time for you. Start worrying about reality, not about spending your entire life "seperated in your spritual body in space", reality is what matters.

k) If you choose to not listen to a word I say, well at least you can have fun with yourself for the rest of your life. When everybody labels you a psycho and ridicules you, you can just go live in an astral projection or something like that, at least you'll be at peace with yourself.

First off, I don't believe in things I haven't seen or experienced. I used to, but you can't keep holding on to your beliefs on weak experiences and other peoples word. Once I saw a close friend preform a pretty advanced form of psychokinesis right in front of my eyes, in an enviorment where it would be impossible to fake something like that, I quickly went from a believer to somebody who actually KNEW this stuff existed. I've had OBEs where I was un-aware I was out of body, but still experienced energetic phenomena present during OBEs, the silver cord phenomena in particular.

Even the tiniest atom on earth is attracting the sun with its gravity. We are even attracting the stars and galaxies trillions of miles away. Every person has a gravitational force. It is just so minute compared to a large mass like the sun. Eventually the universe will contract because of this and all the black holes and stuff will join together to become another singularity and eventually there will be another big bang. kewl eh?

To everyone who views people who do psionics as complete idiots and ignorant children, please know that the vast majority of people who can REALLY do this stuff are not these people. Most, I'm sure, don't even post on the internet.

Can you think of a better place to teach others without being disturbed by society? It's not like Project Pegasus or any similar idea has left the planning stages yet after all.

Its just life to me i havent seen anything weird since i was 17 but I just live on and know whats going on around me

I found a new book, The Sense of Being Stared At. The author (forgot his name) had ran a variety of surveys concerning telepathy, and also ran studies on telepathy between animals and humans. Animals are far more sensitive to telepathy then humans. One test had a group of dogs being monitered in one room, and the owner in another. They had the owner think about taking the dogs out for a walk, and all of the dogs began to sit next to the door and wag their tails, as if waiting to be tooken on the walk. There are a lot of cases involving animals and telepathy, I think everyone would be surprised at the astounding evidence. I highly suggest to all skeptics and practicers alike to read this book.

Also, for all "skeptics" on this thread and forum - just so you know, the word skeptic means to be thoughtful, inquiring, to consider and to examine. It doesn't mean someone who asumes un-proven things are un-questionably wrong. Hell, I would think someone that grounded to *current* scientific knowledge would actually be considered the exact opposite of a skeptic. If you are assuming psychic abilitys are fake, then please don't call yourself a skeptic, because you are not. You are limited in thinking because all you except is what science says is plausible. First off, who says psychic phenomena isn't scientifically plausible? Second off, our current scientific community does know quite a bit, but when you look at the BIG picture, our current scientific community doesn't know shit. Don't rely on the scientists, take their discoverys as a guide and rely on yourself because you can be just as smart as they are (scientist are still just people).

Well yes, I can't refute that. People are people. People are fallible. And throughout history, scientists have gotten much wrong. However, the collective knowledge of science continually grows. Current scientists learn from past scientists mistakes. They may not know shit, but the shit they don't know is diminishing.

But whatever they or do or do not know, they dedicate their lives to learning more about how the world works. Sure I may know more than most of them about how to juggle, how to write a woodwind quartet, how to speak in American Sign Language, or how to give a pill to an unwilling cat. But when it comes to science, they will always know more than me, no matter what my armchair interest may be. It's their livelihood, for Potato's sake!

Give those scientists a little credit. They may not know everything, but I'm pretty darned sure they know more about science than you do.

Good job on contradicting yourself. :p skysaw said being a skeptic means being open to the possibility of it being true and not assuming it's automatically incorrect, which is basically what your definition said.

He wasn't quoting me there, that was from Wer. But his cited definition certainly was different than Wer's.

I think the confusion is from the fact that it is very common to hear the phrase "healthy skepticism," usually meant as "skeptical, but with an open mind."

I didn't read all the pages so I don't know if this has been mentioned before.

In this context it doesn't matter whether any of the "paranormal" things listed really happen.
Take astral projection for example, it is either a trip out of the body or just a vivid dream. It's pretty stupid of the thread starter to call it a waste of time considering that lucid dreams basically the same thing.

It's a similar situation with "psi balls", telekinesis and telepathy.

Actually, if you look at the origin of the word skeptic (I think ancient greek?), the word actually means to be thoughtful, to inquire, to consider and to examine. You guys don't seem uncertain of the existence of psionics, you don't even consider psionics to be very unlikely. You guys seem completely certain psionics don't exist.

Also, I'm not saying I don't give the great scientists of the world any credit. In fact, I look up to some of the great scientific figures of our time. But I'm not going to let our current *accepted* scientific progress hold me back from venturing into the fantastic and un-known realms of parapsychology and the nature of consciouncness. All I'm saying is I'm not going to leave the big questions to people who are obviously not taking them seriously. Science is wonderful, I believe science could explain psionics and everything else, someday.

And I'd just like to make it clear that I am not "certainly certain psionics don't exist." But, I don't believe in anything because of 'faith.' If I don't see hard empirical evidence of something, I am not going to believe in it. Furthermore, I think that there could be a *science*that explains it that we have not yet 'discovered.'

Then how do you know anything is real? What hard empirical evidence do you have that the moon landing was real? (just a random example). Most of what we know is dependent on faith, believing what we're told. You believe in empirical evidence because you have faith in the scientific method. But you couldn't have possibly had time to personally verify every little detail that it was built on.

There is a ton of evidence to support psi abilities. Why some people choose not to see it, is not something I want to get into right now. There are way more people out there who think lucid dreaming is a bunch a crap, than there are who know better. Do they consider lucid dreaming a psi ability?

Paranormal powers are normal and many people experience it .
The reason why we don't use these great abilities often is because we restrict our selfs from attaining it from the beginning we are born.
I've been taught in my dreams by several guides that these great abilities were restricted from our DNA.
The only way from attaining these powers we have to follow the spiritual path. Since nothing is "Real" in this world , everything is just a illusion gceated by our human mind.

One of my guides told me once, the key is the Subconscious ...
Our daily lifes are based on our thoughts that we receive from our subconscious.

Allien's from another planet are able to use these abilities because they were taught how to control these powers.
Hence, their intelligence is far greater than our current progress.
We are trapped in the so called "Reality" although its the opposite.

Little children are able to see auras from the beginning they are born ! they can even see spirits and other things that we dont!

We are unique and our capabilities are far greater than this.
Unfortunately most of the people wont understand this since we are only in the first plane out of 9.

And also , attaining these abilities puts upon you greater responsabilities, once you unlock you potential you will try to use it for your own benefit.

hence, the government are using Remote viewing to see trough space and time .
They know its real and that anything is possible , and yet we are forced to believe that "Paranormal" is bs .

As for my self , I'm not concentrating to achieve these abilities, since we have our dreams that allow us to unlock and use them without any consequences.

I had a thought. I predict the future randomly all the time. Today, someone I know heard a song and said, "hey, I was thinking about this a few hours ago, what a coincidence." I have had this happen to me with songs, tv shows and even with games. And for all those skeptics, I have predicted over 100 simpsons episodes with 100% acuracy. That couldn't be coincidence. (well... I guess it could but my point remains valid)

as soon as one of them sees it in reality ( example - telekinesis ) he just drops his jaw and he forgets that he was denying it all the time..now he is almost obssesed to train himself to do the telekinesis..
