Who's in the background and why didn't they seem to find your video recording weird? If I walked in and my roommate was talking to a camera about drawing portals and life hacking and dream hacking, I would have... well, I don't know what I would have done, but I definitely would have had some sort of reaction.

I think I may have had some success, Can you confirm if it worked Nomad?

Disturbing and obviously impaired as your delivery was, WakingNomad, your Sidewalk Portal Plan seems viable, and metaphysically intriguing...at least the front end.

I'm not sure I understood the whole thing, though; do you mean to have all participants emerge at a physical reality Thomas Square, or a dream plane Thomas Square? If the former, good luck with that...if the latter, be sure to let us know how it went!

Also I apologize for what I said earlier. I meant it in the spirit of fun, but watching your video again I get the feeling there is more going on here that initially thought. I constantly berate people for labeling others, especially me, and what do I do when I see someone who I think is a little strange (and who the hell am I to judge someone as strange?) in a video? Label them as a drug user. That was so not cool for me to do! So once again I apologize. It sucks that you have so much trouble using your fingers. I will pray for you (if that does not offend) and send some healing/light energy to you.

I will also buy some sidewalk chalk if I can find some cheap stuff I can afford. Do you have a color preference? I do not have a sidewalk here, but would the side of a barn, flat roof of a house or the surface of a road suffice? Also what color would you prefer I use?

I don't know that I will be able to enter the portal yet. My lucid dreams have been very strange as I posted about in another thread. I am really a n00b at this sort of thing. A knowledgeable and intuitive n00b, but a n00b nonetheless. But you can certainly come through the portal to me and attempt to wake me up in my dream to come with you. I give you an open invitation.

Nomad, I'm sure your a cool dude or whatever but why hack real life? Why not just be in the moment and enjoy the moment as it is? Why not let go of control and be? Why not clear you mind and be free? Why hack the world when you can be one with everything? I don't get you, I really don't, You preach Anti-happy. Its too much work, and achieves nothing? Simply make yourself a portal when your in a dream, why bother with reality? It will just be a copy in the dream even if you did draw one in waking. Also whats wrong with your hands? I know how to heal/cure just about anything so PM me if you want to be fixed up.

I can't be sure of course but I don't think unhappiness is the driving force or message behind the OP. I think perhaps that it is precisely because he's having fun with life that he's started this whole portal thing. In my limited experience when you're fully present in the moment (present-minded) enjoying life, you are also at a place to question life. You may want to test it, experiment with things. It is a simple curiosity, like a child with a toy they tear apart to see how it works. Sure they enjoy playing with the toy, and a child with a toy is probable one of the most natural examples of present mindedness you will ever see in a human. But there is joy to be found in tearing things apart, not in a destructive fashion necessarily, but just to see how things work - what makes things tick. We are sad when we see the boy has taken his toy apart. Chances are he lacked the skills to put it back together again, or if he did it may never work right again. There is a sense of loss. But the more toys the child tears apart, the more he can put back together again successfully. A lesson has been learned, and the experience has paid off. My guess is that this is something like what the OP's approach to life is. He is in the joy of figuring out how things work, of making new discoveries in life, and he has invited us along for the ride.

I will make a portal out of stones or chalk in the next few days and place a picture here so anyone can use it. This portal will be open to all travelers. I may experiment with it, add the yogic star to it (up and down triangles overlaid.) My goal here will be to test things out, see what different portal designs do, where they go, stuff like that. Still haven't been able to make another good attempt to get Etheric83 out of his body, so that has to come first.

I am sorry you were turned away. I have not tried yet, but when I do I will find a way through and tell you about it, OK? Every wall has a crack, and even if it doesn't you can find a way over, under, or through it. I would take such a turning away as a challenge to test my worthiness. I would keep trying to find a way through until I succeeded.

WHATTTT???? You can't be serious about this. Let's never learn and be little ants on a planet and enjoy the sunshine. Why bother with reality? Because we are here. Too much work and achieves nothing? Have you tried it? Crikey man why are you being such an idiot with this. He's proposing an idea that'll take like 10 minutes, 5 minutes in waking, 5 minutes in dreaming. You don't know if it will be a copy when you are dreaming, as of the ambigousness that dreaming implies(you could be projecting to the physical and your brain would interpret it as a "dream" because it was during your normal dreaming hours, or it could be a copy, and still work).

Personally, I think its genius, but I will try it out and see what happens. Not sure how to draw a portal, but I'm just going to do a Circle wit a triangle then a spiral inside triangle.

It was time to go and I was so proud of what I collected that I became a little nervous that someone might covet my lovely rocks and try to "aquier", (steal them). But then I remembered we were just a high school geology class on an excursion to collect rocks so I stopped being nervous and relaxed.

Just now this reminded me of something I read in Lobsang Ramper long ago where he said that when he was a little kid in school, in Tibet, he and his siblings would go to a special place in the mountains to collect chalk for use in school.

Ha! I found it. Here it is. Chapter One "Early Days at Home" page 19 of his first book, The Third Eye. Published the year before I was born 1958.

"Our schoolroom was quite large, at one time it had been used as a refactory for visiting monks, but since the nee buildings were finished, that particular room had been made into a school for the estate. Altogether there were about sixty children attending. We sat cross-legged on the floor, at a.table, or long bench, which was about eighteen inches high.

We sat with our backs to the teacher, so that we did not know when he was looking at us. It made us work hard all the time. Paper in Tibet is hand made and expensive, far to expensive too waste on children.

We used slates, large thin slabs about twelve inches by fouteen inches. Our "pencils" were a form of hard chalk which could be picked up in the Tsu La Hills, some twelve thousand feet higher than Lhasa, which was already twelve thousand above sea-level.

I used to try and get the chalk with the redish tint, but sister Yaso was very fond of a soft purple. We could obtain quite a number of colours: reds, yellows, blues, and greens. Some of the colours, I believe, were due to the presence of metalic ores in the soft chalk base. Whatever the cause, we were glad to have them."

Searched YouTube for clips of Your Thomas Square. Thomas Square is lovely. I have bookmarked 4 clips so far. My favourite is:

Put the above in the YouTube search bar. I am going to watch it often because the camera perspective puts me on the bike. I can "revery", (daydream) that I am really there riding through the park.

That will bleed through into my dream, eventually, I hope.
