Darkness.

I've had this issue with most of my dreams, lucid dreaming or not I can't control it.. very rarely once or twice have I battled it and won, or it's meant nothing. But In my dreams every time I step in a dark spot I get attacked and engulfed in darkness, hate, and rage! Screams fill my ears and send me into dark night mares or jolt me up. it's as if when I step in these dark shadows every scary thing in my mind i could think of comes flying at me! Has anyone else had this issue before...? Or this one time, it only happened once but i swore in a dream, i swear a lot in them, but this one time my visson became tinted red and demonic voices filled my head and began to swear at me and fill me with fear. Another thing wrong with me and my dreams is that my mind plays a huge part, to much, some times I can't control my thoughts and I begin to think of fear, and fear takes over my dreams.

Maybe the reason you can't prevail against it is the darkness is your own emotional substrate, so the harder you fight against it the stronger it gets.

Some things that seemed to help me:

I got bored with the fear, and just wasn't willing to go there for it any more.

I held a thought of love, to whatever extent I could. To the extent that I've been so full of darkness that I can't get there for that, I've at least been able to hold a state of willingness to get there for it. And I suppose if a person can't even find the will to care, maybe they can at least make a tiny, unenthusiastic request to be able to care. Then that will grow into something more in due time.

The hatred is like fear but extroverted, experienced from the other side. In that aggression however is the seed of something like courage. And somewhere deep in that courage is a sort of floating, timeless invulnerability that your courage is based on. If you become more aware of that, then the fear goes away. Telling yourself this doesn't help much, you just have to look and see what you find. In my experience the same trick works for almost any kind of suffering. Whatever you're upset or pissed off about, if you dive into it deeply enough you generally find that the apparent lack stems from a deeply buried knowledge of something that you actually have.

I think that to the extent I can't find these truths, my blindness is in a sense a curse for things that are wrong in other areas. So after a certain point none of these tricks will work if there's stuff elsewhere that I'm hiding from. And I think that sometimes we just have to go through stuff, there's no getting away from it.

You have a being that has found you fearful and keeps coming back to feed off of that fear. It likes the fearful energy, because fear is very powerful. The key is not to let the fearful images win the mental battle. Look at everything and smile as if you just got married to the most beautiful person you could imagine. Laugh heartily at these images and voices. Laugh like someone told you the funniest joke you've ever heard. Be confident that nothing can bother you. Shout out "show yourself!" and see what you end up face to face with. Even if it's something that appears scary, show it that you are angry at it, and you intend to hurt it for the things it has done to you. It will either scurry off in a hurry, or you'll get into a fight with it. Even if you lose the fight, show it you are not afraid, and it will leave you alone and move to someone else, because all it can do against you is fight, which doesn't give it the energy it wants. Never let the images bother you and continue to engage in battle until it goes away. The only solution is attack, every single time you encounter it.

in reply to the post above this one, I'd like to mention you might be right. Due to the fact I haven't had this problem with the fear as of late cause of one night I might want to think was the night I won. It was the start to every other night mare with the fear I was stepping down the stairs to get something to eat then time seemed to slow as I stepped on the shadow on the stairs and stuff began to fly at me but this time i flew back at it down my stairs and it began to turn into the shadow of a person, persay, that flew around my walls and i chased it flying around the walls too... it was as if it was really happing to, my mom was asleep in the next room and my sisters were in bed too. Cause i walked around my house after I fought the thing, any how, as i chased it, it let of some noticeable energy that slowed me and stunned my hearing but he moved fast still, but in the end i shattered the shadow some how by making a phone call that I couldn't hear... Then in the end I walked back up stairs to come face to face with my self in my bed... Then I woke up, sweating and stunned as to what just happened. But since then I've never had a issue with this fear, I sorta want it to come back to add some interesting fun into my dreams... and to get some answers.

Do think its just your own emotions and thoughts in the dream? thats what it sounds like. what do you think?
