I've never had a DC who has done this before, or at least that I can remember anyway. But thanks for the warning

Yes many people do it unconsciously... I have people in waking life like this that won't leave me alone

lol, conscious and experienced vampires don't need your attention at all! A conscious psychic vampire has many ways to take your energy. From dreams, from your chakras, or even by touching you or talking to you. As for those who are unconscious... you can't really detect them because they don't know they are draining you themselves. The only protection I know is a psychic shield.

Well I think you basically have three options- leave them, break the emotional connection, or steal your energy back from them.

-Well there's few types of psy-vampires and not all of them need an emotional connection (link) to you. There's the life force feeders (prana energy), the negative energy feeders (feed of stress, hatred, and everything else negative), the emotional feeders (feed of pretty much every emotion also the type that needs an emotional connection to their prey), the sexual feeders (sexual energy) and finally the elementals (they feed from the element's energy).
-You can steal your energy back only if you know how to manipulate it and work with it. Not everyone know how to work with energy....
- Define "leave them"

Hmmm well let me explain. people often will want your attention to create an emotional connection so they can steal some of your love energy, but they thing is they don't give any back so its not really love, its like vampirism.
Leave as in literally get up and leave that person physically. You can consciously draw the energy from their heart chakra back into yours (and you can take more if you want), or you can break the emotional connection with that person through intent, so it mostly stops the energy exchange all together.

I can vampire energy. Yep, stay away from me.

So that´s what those damn ankle-grabbing flying DCs wanted. Once I learn to fight they´ll be sorry they ever went after me.

Can you explain how to construct/reinforce a psychic shield in waking life?

All true. One must be aware first though as GrizzlyClaws said. Then whatever one can do against them. Ignoring is doing the job in most of the cases as most of the vampires dont know they are such ones. Some have to make go and show them to stay away. Usually when i dont want someone to be around they know it without me telling them. They see it into my eyes or better to say my eyes are telling their bodies to get lost or not to bother me with whatever.

btw i had once a dream with a vampire who bit me and i felt that my power to heal was being stolen. then i had to kill the vampire and thats what i did. cut the sucker in many pieces

It's a part of energy works. The most basic shield you can use is a "bubble shield". All you need to do is basically, visualize you aura expanding and getting a bubble-like texture. Like a jello. Feel the energy around you. Will it to change and shape-shift. You do this while meditation.

A psi shield basically is you intentionally cover yourself in really good energy, which will keep away creepy astral entities. It won't protect you from people though.

Agreed.
It keeps away creepy astral entities but it also helps against psy-attacks. You can "program" a shield. Focus your intention on what you want it to do. And yes, it doesn't protects against physical beings.

I'm also a psychic vampire, but not by choice. I'm so awesome all girls get obsessed with me and all guys go into a psychosis because they hate me so much out of jealousy and they try to be like me.

Don't blame the vampires, blame the people who can't control their own attention.

All children are vampires and should at all times be ignored? How about an old person who has fallen and would like to be helped?

People need attention from other people, and will starve in subtle ways without it. Yes we shouldn't allow ourselves to be abused. But I don't think "I am justified in ignoring anyone don't want to give my attention to" is an approach that works very well in the long run.

Of course your actual perspective may be more nuanced than that.

I too am quite confused on the message of this thread. Are we subjecting people to our judgments of them as attention hoarders? Or are we talking of dream characters specifically?

Well children and old people may not be trying to steal your energy they just want to be loved.
People want your attention sometimes to create an emotional connection to draw the energy out of your heart chakra into theirs. They act ridiculous and may be offended if you don't respond. They may say and do things that are pointless. That are really only them trying to get your attention to steal your energy. You will feel it pulling out of your chest.

When he talks of entities stealing energy in dreams. He is talking of dream or astral demons. Not dream characters. dream characters are a part of yourself, they are your energy.

It is something essential for energy workers.

What if at times you might yourself be a psychic vampire, or rather, experience moments of psychic vampirism? I only say this because there are times when I am unintentionally taking the energy from the people around me. I'm a performer and go through bouts of extreme extroversion in which I suck the energy from everybody around me and essentially put it right back out to them, combined with a considerable amount of my own. These moments are typically followed by extreme introversion where I need to "re-charge" my energy and remain guarded.

But then there are times where I push the buttons of people around me, just for the sake of annoying them, or seeing how far I can take them. They expel negative energy and I "suck it up" because it makes me giggle.

They are probably giving you energy. People give each other energy all the time. Thats why it is comforting to be in the presence of people sometimes.....
Ya I mess with people too. they just take things to seriously. Stupid white people...... thats why dreams are good, people take things less seriously in dreams....

A Technique i was told was to cross your legs and arms lets say when your on a bus journey or sittin down somewhere local
it stop the energy from being sucked out! remember hearing it from like Shaman guy

Have you ever had that feeling when someone starts talking to you and you get this weird feeling come across you and you dont like it!

makes your feel clutty and hard to talk back and you want to avoid them thats an example of a vampire right? xD

Crossing your legs does not stop them from stealing your energy.
Pretty much ya if you get those signs they are probably stealing your energy. There's other things too that make you feel uncomfortable around people but are different. Like if you have an emotional or psychic connection to someone who has unstable energy that would make your energy unstable. Or if they have dark energy and you open up to that.
