Question Fell Asleep With my Eyes Open

I don't know what it is called, I need help on this issue to make sure it doesn't happen again. It happened a while ago, but I need to know what this is and why it happened.
I was afraid to go to sleep for a few weeks, because I had a huge fear of evil in the house. I was very, very tired. My aunt (who is very violent) was sleeping over. She yells alot. So, I lie in bed with my mom and I stayed awake due to fear. My body must have been very tired, because I refused to go to sleep. Then, I was dreaming. I had a nightmare, which wasn't even that scary. My aunt saw a roach and screamed really loud because of it. In the dream, I screamed back, but instead of screaming in the dream, I screamed in waking life. Loudly. I did what I would do in my dream. The scream was so loud, that I woke up. But, when I woke up, I don't remember opening my eyes, but I remember the dream fade and next thing I knew I was face-to-face with my mom. I never opened my eyes because I never closed them. I knew I fell asleep with my eyes open, my mom even told me. I guess my body just shut down, but what is this? Also, when I woke up, I was in bed, sitting up straight. I never laid down.

      Hmmm, hi.
My guess is that that's just what happens when you are really overtired. It's not healthy to withdraw the sleep from your body.
I suppose, to make it stop, you need to stop being afraid, huh? What exactly are you referring to with evil?

      Greetings

Hallucination. Also, there is no evil in your house. If there's nothing evil in real life, there's nothing there in fake life. If you believe there is nothing there, there is nothing there.

I am not afraid of it anymore, I just felt an unknown presence of evil. I knew I was dreaming, because I didn't get up and walk, I saw it like a dream.

I fell asleep standing straight up and down (with my eyes closed) in boot camp due to extreme exhaustion. You simply fell asleep with your eyes open. Get some sleep!

If you ever get a "evil presence" feeling, leave a dim light on. Then fall asleep. We all know evil things can't handle light
They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
      By dreaming, every day.
