I am not sure if you are aware of (SP) -sleep paralysis. That is what I think is the case in your first dream.
You had actually woke up and could see. Being in this state can be very vague at times, giving you the impression you were still asleep. When the sleep paralysis subsides you fully awoke and saw what you had already seen. Heres is a list of acronyms that has a brief discription of SP.

I'm going to have to fully agree with Howetzer on this one, what your describing sounds alot like sleep paralysis.

SP seems the most logical and most likely explaination.

Ok maybe not the creepiest theres another one and it tops it. I kept on dreaming one night that I was wrestling with an evil creature and I was beating him, it was like a never ending fight though,(however I could not feel the contact of anything at this point, it was like a story being played out on tv) ok so I guess in that dream I became Lucid, and suddenly I know im in my bed sleeping, when Im trying to get up out of bed suddenly I feel this hairy strong arms pushing me down on my chest, in the most horrible manner, I felt claws too, and I begin to yell for help but nothing comes out of my mouth, it felt like this went on for about 2 or 3 minutes, so I just stayed quiet and began praying for help in my mind, and it went away.[/b]

neveragain if theres any knowitall here its me and i dont know it all. in the first dream you talk of seeing with your eyes closed. this was probably an obe. you must have been in your physical body but experiencing them as the spiritaul. as for this i am not all that sure of but i am confident. the second dream you are talking of with the weird monster i am very confident though. i think this was not something created by your mind. and here is my proof. you say you prayed and it went away correct? well this is because evil things like satan and stuff cant remain in a place of prayer. you can find evidence of this in the lost books of the bible under adam and eve that i can recall right now and probably in the modern day bible. if you need help or are curious pm me and i might be able to get it for you. i have had experiences with this before but in my case it was satan himself. what im wondering is why he was so interested in you. what is your importance?

Have you ever entertained the Idea that Satan is also a creation of your mind? And if believed to be so would produce the same result.

Actually, there is a rule that religion should only be mentioned in Philosophy, but like it or not, it being so intrinsic to some people, it's gonna get mentioned elsewhere...

Actually, it wasn't religion that started this spat, it was Oathie himself, who is extremely religious -- and seems to have some sort of "thing" against most other people that don't agree with him 100 percent right away --, hence why Wicked and I retaliated with the Jesus-baums.

Its an interesting paradigm to explore the whole good/evil thing. I think sometimes it makes for more exciting dreams when you think it was satan coming after you or that somehow using the name of Jesus made the bad guys go away. But maybe they went away because you are god in your dreams and you really believe that the name of God has power. Whoever suggested this was being pretty profound I think. It leads me to wonder, we know what signs accompany sleep paralyis and that it is a state between waking and sleep, but has anyone seen a good scientific article on why these pretty scary things happen in SP?

I remember waking up one time at my grandmothers (I used to live with her) and it was late in the evening I was wiped out from working at the vacuum cleaner factory all day (dont ask). Well so I awoke, paralyzed, in the pitch black, suddenly a door of light opens and this featureless black figure of a person is coming towards me out of the light. So I am scared shitless and try with all my might to move because I know the light chord is just inches away. It goes on for about thirty seconds then suddenly I can move my arm only and pull the chord.

I've had a lot of those deals, when I was young and doing drugs (stupid is how I like to refer to it now) I would get sleep paralysis all the time. It seemed sometimes like it was every morning. Anyways, I think if you realize that is probably not a supernatural experience you might be able to explore it a little when it happens. Its definitely unique. Like the time those little three foot tall guys were pulling on my limbs while I sat there paralyzed on my belly on the living room floor. Little fuckers, if I ever catch them bastards (EJ shakes his fist in air!)
