Humans like being under control by something/someone of higher power, so they naturally imagine that some sort of conscious being created us all. I think that humans probably don't have the mental capacity to realize what created us. I don't buy in to evolution because I think people/some animals are too complicated to have come from evolution. Why do we have eyelashes? Surely there wasn't a time in history when all primates without eyelashes were killed off, and the ones with them survived. The only changes that can occur in organisms from evolution are ones completely necessary for survival, and thing like eyelashes/toes/hair are not essential. Also, just because a theory could be possible doesn't make it possible. I could probably rationalize evolution or god or buddhism if I really wanted to. But it has to be proven without a doubt before I will believe it.

I am also curious about shared dreaming. Not enough time right now to search through this whole forum, but I am curious how people interact when they are in shared dreams. Do you actually see one another, do fun stuff together, then wake up and remember every detail exactly the same? If it were like that, I would almost have to believe there is something supernatural at work here. But my idea is that they might just be a regular dream where you see a friend, then wake up in the morning, call you friend up, say that you dreamed together, then your friend think about it for a minute and says, "Oh ya I think I remember that sort of." If they were like that then I would say that they don't actually exist and are just imagined. I don't think I have read enough experiences of them to tell how they actually are. I have only read a few. Also, how exactly are shared dreams thought to work? Is it one entire plane where every single person is, and you meet others? Or is it where you "invite" another person to your dream, and the dream still takes place inside one of the people's heads but multiple people are there?

Oh and one more thing. Mikeac, you said that if a lot of people believe in something, it can't be fake. That isn't true. Most of the world used to believe the earth was flat, and now we know for an absolute fact that it is spherical. Humans as an entire race have an extremely limited perception of reality. We can compensate for this with technology and experimentation, but that all takes time to evolve. A thousand years from now we will know things/make things that you and me will never have even dreamed of. Just like we have learned/built things now that people in the year 1000 would have never dreamed of. Humans as a race probably has a lot of false ideas. Less then we did a thousand years ago, but still a lot. In the year 3000 we will probably still have some false ideas, but not nearly as many as we do now. So don't believe something just because a lot of people believe it.
Well, I can't say you are wrong. I guess it is in the matter in how you think. Eyelashes are created to keep dust out of your eyes, toes are used to make running more efficient, and hair keep you warm. Although, these aren't necessary, they make life somewhat more efficient. Evolution isn't a matter of survive or become extinct, it is the matter of mutate and see what happens. But yeah, evolution is just a theory.

Sometimes shared dreaming can be the power of suggestion, and creation of false memories. In the deep dreaming section there is proper dream etiquette, and how to invite people in your dream. But sometimes shared dreaming can actually be WITH a person. It's easier to tell if both people are highly lucid. Shared dreaming is dreaming on a single dream plane where every other shared dreamer is, OR dreaming in another person's inner dream world.

I know that I said if a lot of people believe in something, it has to be real. I worded that incorrectly. I meant to say when several people have had shared dreams, it could be just enough proof to state it's a good theory (again it's just a theory). The reason why people thought Earth was flat is because of the lack of technology, which you mentioned. Humans will basically always have false ideas, because of miscommunication, psychology, illogical reasoning, and such. I don't believe in religion because a lot of people believe in it. Mainly because religion is a man-made way to control people through the idea of God.

It has been a while since I have had an intelligent conversation.

PS. Humans like being raised under a single person because not everyone is capable of leading. Leaders are their own type of breed.
