As much as you would like to trust people who appear to be knowledgable in areas such as this, be cautious. I've never heard mention of anything like this dream world Urth and from the sounds of it, It's his personal dream world. If your a lucid dreamer or familiar in dream recall I'm sure you have your own world as well, much like a distorted reflection of your perception of this reality. If shared dreaming is a possibility, and your meeting someone in THEIR dreamworld, don't you think you may be making yourself vulnerable? In chaos magick and similar practices its believed that the only reason "gods" and the like exist is the collective belief that is poured into them. If your concentrating on joining anothers dream world, your simply pouring power into that reality and whoever holds the reigns on said reality. I'm not telling you all not to do this, I'm just warning you of the possibilities of mishap. Especially if the one inviting you to the dream world is capable of this "dream assassination". Well I've had my fun playing Devil's advocate. |

You talked about shared dreams. What do you do if you think someone is trying to constantly show up in your dreams and do you harm? Or if someone is trying to harm you through dreams? |
|
About killing in a dream. I think may be there are ways, not that i am interested in doing that but i had some weird dreams where i think i was really close to death. So if SD is possible and one knows about certain places one could bring an inexperienced person to these places and leave him there to die. Ive been to 2 different places like that. One was a place with strange beings of light where if i stayed by my will i would be dead in my bed(but alive there, which means that i wont be dead generally speaking but dead in my bed) and another one where there was nothing but raw powers which wanted to squeeze all of my energy and were doing it but i managed to escape. There are some really dangerous place in the Universe |

I never claimed to accuse you of being capable of "dream assassination". I was just saying hypothetically if it is possible, then it is also possible that you are capable of it. Also I wasn't saying that all things seen in dreams are manifestations of our imaginations, but someone as knowledgable as yourself must agree that there are still those dreams that are simply visual displays of your mind's eye theatre. Lucid dreaming allows one to walk in their own dreams, but higher levels of lucid dreaming allow one to step outside of ones head (not that prophetic dreams or contact from sources alien to oneself are impossible without lucid dreaming). Instead of allowing things to enter your world you are able to step out into theirs. As I stated previously as well, I just enjoy playing devil's advocate, and in this case people should be warned of these possibilities and be made to understand that shared dreaming isnt all sunshines and happiness. Speaking of dreams, I believe its about time I had some myself, my pillow looks very lonely. |

Shared dreaming is heaven and hell. |

I dunno about this 2012. How that shift will happen? The only way i can imagine is that every person above a certain age lets say 18 gets a dose of LSD on the same day and all that is organized by our governments hahahahahahahaha Thats what i call a DAYDREAM. |

This stuff seem to make the same basic mistake as religion. There is absolutely no proof of anything you said here. I cannot disprove it, but the burden of proof is on you, because you are the one making these claims. Also, I think you believe these things simply because you want to. It is the same reason people believe in reincarnation. They don't want to die. I would love for reincarnation/heaven to exist, but I need to see actual proof before I just believe those sorts of things. Personally, I can't say what exists as far as dreaming. The rational part of me wants to believe that dreaming is purely in my mind and is simply a projection of my thoughts. But, I try to look at things subjectively. I am not sure about shared dreaming, it doesn't fit in with my opinion about dreaming being all in your head, but I have heard a lot of people telling me they have done it. I can't say for sure they aren't making this up, but I can't be sure they are lying, either. I am interested in it, but I know a lot of people say things on the internet (and in real life) that aren't true. Also, I don't like conspiracy theories at all. You seem to love them according to your post. Conspiracy theories will grab a whole bunch of random facts (true or not true) and then connect the dots with information that is completely made up. This is true with things like the illuminati/nwo/2012. Surely if nations are collaborating and making agreements with one another, they are planning on forming together and creating one central nation, and imprisoning their own citizens. It just seems like an attempt to scare people to me. I am seeking the truth about lucid dreaming/astral projection. If they are truly all in my head, I want to know and I will accept it. If they truly my "soul" leaving my body and entering another plane of existence, I want to know, but I am not going to believe it unless it is proven. |
|
That's the thing. I was a skeptic, but so many people believe in the idea of shared dreaming, so it can't be fake. Through simple reasoning and faith in people, shared dreaming is possible. I'm currently a semi-skeptic on religion. Through more simpey reasoning, there has to be some sort of higher force that caused creation of the universe. However, how the hell was God created is my only question. All the man made religious stories are crap to me, however, the Old and New Testament still have some pretty good rules to live by. There might be higher planes of existence, and reincarnation may or may not be true. I am not afraid of death, my parents have taught me that it happens to every person sometime, and it isn't worth worrying over, however I still believe in heaven/rebirth. Conspiracy theories can be proven sometimes, but for example the 9/11 conspiracy theory is a bit wacky. But the government is the government, they hide things that we don't need to hear, and it should stay that way. Astral projection and the astral plane may be possible, but for me it seems to be a lucid dream of the physical plane. Lucid dreaming is all in your head. Shared dreaming is a plane of existence where other dreamers exist. |
|
I agree with you. I am the opposite with religion though, I don't believe in it until something is proven. I think there are infinite possibilites of how life was created. People like to use the idea of a god for the same reason we have leader in our government/kings. Humans like being under control by something/someone of higher power, so they naturally imagine that some sort of conscious being created us all. I think that humans probably don't have the mental capacity to realize what created us. I don't buy in to evolution because I think people/some animals are too complicated to have come from evolution. Why do we have eyelashes? Surely there wasn't a time in history when all primates without eyelashes were killed off, and the ones with them survived. The only changes that can occur in organisms from evolution are ones completely necessary for survival, and thing like eyelashes/toes/hair are not essential. Also, just because a theory could be possible doesn't make it possible. I could probably rationalize evolution or god or buddhism if I really wanted to. But it has to be proven without a doubt before I will believe it. |
|
Well, I can't say you are wrong. I guess it is in the matter in how you think. Eyelashes are created to keep dust out of your eyes, toes are used to make running more efficient, and hair keep you warm. Although, these aren't necessary, they make life somewhat more efficient. Evolution isn't a matter of survive or become extinct, it is the matter of mutate and see what happens. But yeah, evolution is just a theory. |
|
Not trying to start an evolution debate. Organisms do mutate randomly, but that organism with the mutation will only thrive if it's mutation is necessary for survival. In other words, it is possible that eyelashes just randomly appeared on an infant, but that doesn't explain why everybody has them. The only reason every single human being would have them is if there was a situation where only those with eyelashes were able to reproduce for some reason, and all their offspring had eyelashes. I just can't imagine a situation where eyelashes would be required for survival. Sure they are a great convenience, but it just doesn't work out with evolution. Adaptions only become widespread when they are necessary for reproduction/survival, which (according to evolution) eyelashes must have been at some point. It is almost as if we were designed, if they were put here on our eyes for our own convenience. I cannot say if that was by a god, by aliens, by whatever. Maybe it is just purely by chance, maybe it is a process we humans don't yet understand, or will never understand. It is just fun to think about I guess. |

In 2012, the sun will emit more solar radiation than has ever been experienced by human beings. We humans have inhabited this planet for nearly 100 thousand years and the sun's solar cycle spans 11 years. This is a huge deal considering our brains and body are built on the power of electromagnetic energy, the same energy that will be cascading over our solar system when the sun blows its load. |

Sorry but all you ever post is crazy conspiracies and cures for cancer. |
