      Reverse blinking question

So, I have some questions about Reverse Blinking, which is the technique I've been trying because no other worked for me yet.

Last night I tried it and I got to the point where I can't open completely open my eyes, and after that, I started to "forget" to open them, a clear sign that I was just about to fall asleep. The problem is that I fell asleep and it didn't work. By the time I was not opening my eyes anymore I had a little time to realise that I would fall asleep in moments, but I didn't have any HI, at least I can't remember any. I just fell asleep from blackness.

Actually, a big problem I have is falling asleep before I expect it.

So the question is, after I realise that I'm going to fall asleep, what should I do to maintain consciousness and not entirely blacking out? I thought that if I kept reverse blinking, I would enter the LD. But that's not whats happening.

If it's easy for you to go back to sleep again, don't use reverse blinking at all. I only use reverse blinking because I have a hard time falling back to sleep again.

I see. Then what should I do when I notice that I'm going to fall asleep? Is there something I should do at this stage to enter LD instead of just normally going to sleep?

Have you read the WILD guides? They're in the tutorial section. It's a very tricky balance. You want to remain aware as you fall asleep, but not TOO aware, because that will keep you awake.
