Question Ideal time to take vitamin B complex and other questions

I have been experimenting with b complex and tryptophan. When I took B6 or w/e an hour before sleep I noticed I went into deeper sleep, my dream recall collapsed, I could only remember fragments of dreams(did I lose REM sleep because of too much melatonin). But yesterday I took it a FEW hours before sleep, like maybe 3-4 hours. I had a lucid dream, the thing that happened is I was in a scary dream, I was scared. Than I realized wait why am I scared monsters aren't really, I am dreaming. I beat the shit out of the monster, but I lost lucidity while doing so. In another which was also monster related, and mixed with something else. I just regained lucidity in that dream, maybe it was the same dream? I tried some techniques, I looked at my hands noticed they were blurry, I focused until they became super clear, my whole body was as real as life. I connected my self to the dream and the side of the dream became really clear. When I looked away from my hands everything became blurry, so progress was made. I tried again and it was impossible to even make my hands clear. So I just randomly thought let me try dream spinning to stabilize, as I did it I remembered dream spinning can cause teleportation. So I spinned and teleported to the monsters lair, place, thing, w/e. I than got scared and spinned the otherway and as I was spinning the surroundings of the beach I was in just "spinned" in.

Also how can I extend a lucid dream without a DEILD, is it a even possible to extend a REM session.

B6 improves dream vividness, in theory boosting your odds to become lucid, your level of lucidity, or just making the dream more memorable. It doesn't usually cause loss of REM, poorer recall, or nightmares. All lucid dreams are not created equal. The directions on the B6 bottle recommend taking it with a meal to improve absorption, etc. I'd say that you'd be okay either way...give both a shot, remove as many variables as you can, and see what works best.

As for extending dreams, your lucids will get longer as you progress. REM periods only last about an hour, tops, but you can try to alter your perception of time within the dream. Cut out stupid crap like driving across the city when you can teleport there. Search for shortcuts in what you do. If you're having trouble brute-forcing something into existence, try a different method. Anything to shave a bit of time off of mundane tasks. Stabilizing your dream upon lucidity will make the dream more vivid, help you to retain lucidity, and (hopefully) extend the dream a bit longer. Practice is key. DEILD is the only method I know of that will let you attempt to chain together dreams or REM periods, but the technique involves mostly just waking up briefly, then melting back into the dream you were just in. It is usually done when you wake up prematurely on your own, rather than setting an alarm and waking up in the middle of the night.

3-4 hours before? Try taking it an hour before going to sleep?
