Yeah, I'm going through the same thing you are. Well, kind of, I guess. I've had some pre-lucids (things that remind me of dreaming, but I don't break through) and that's been frustrating me... if all my pre-lucids were actual LD's, I'd have had like... 7 LD's this month instead of my measley 1 second one.
I don't know about you, but when I start feeling dry spells and frustrated, I tend to start tweaking with my LD technique... trying to "improve" it, but I seem to make it worse. So, my first advice would be... go back to what you were doing when you were having success and stick with it!
Right now, I'm trying to MILD out a permanent dream sign. Something reliable and something with a decent amount of frequency. I'm tracking this experiment in the link below, and over the past two weeks, I started to feel some MAJOR frustration. Then, I chilled out, and completely backed off for a couple of nights. Had a couple of very awesome non-lucids and decided to just enjoy these things as they come.
I also noticed that while I THOUGHT that for the past two weeks that this experiment of mine was not improving or progressing... I decided to add in a weekly analysis and found that... indeed it is! So that made me think of something. All we see is the day-by-day. Even WITH recording dreams in a DJ, sometimes it's hard to tell if how you're training yourself to induce LD's nightly (the ultimate goal for most people!) is really working, when day-by-day, you get another "failed" pre-lucid. Another missed dream sign. Or another boring dream that didn't even HAVE dream signs. But if you look at the larger picture, you should start to see things taking shape.
It's absolutely true what they say... for non-naturals, this takes WORK. And dedication. And no matter which technique you choose to go with, it's going to take time to learn it, adapt it to your needs, and figure out how to make it effective for you. It's slow... but the prize is so ultimately rewarding
