I'm having a dry spell, where i can't even recall dreams, anybody have any fixes for that?
dream journal. easy. within 3 nights you'll see your dream recall go WAY up. at least i did. here's what happened for me:
night #1: i barely filled up two lines of notebook paper. crappy.
night #2: filled up about 10 lines.
night #3: filled up a page and a half of extremely vivid details.
just make sure you keep the journal by your bad (use a flashlight if you need light) and don't get up... just wake up, write...... and you'll see your recall go through the roof in no time. good luck!
Edit: i guess it goes without saying, but you also need to get enough sleep. everyone is different, but roughly 7-8 hours... ish. WBTB is also a good idea but start with the dream journal, don't overwhelm yourself all at once.
yeah i am sorta going thru a dry spell too, but its improved a bit - i have made proper use of my DJ now, i had no recall for 3 nights, but i had an epicly vivid dream yesterday, although today wasnt much better...
When you wake up, strain your head to pull out every last little detail of the dreams you had that night.
Also, often times I have delayed recall, which never used to happen to me before, but now I'll wake up and if I look at, say, my guitars, I'll remember a dream that I had that night that dealt with me breaking and fixing my guitar. Test yourself by talking about things and looking at various objects and people. You'll probably discover some dreams you wouldn't have recalled otherwise.
Sometimes, just taking a break from lucid dreaming, may actually give you a lucid. It's happened to me before.
I think most of us experience dry spells. Don't worry. You just need to be patient. Come up with some goals in your dream journal in detail, get more sleep of course, etc.
Try setting up a more consistent sleep schedule. I just set up a schedule for myself where I read a lucid dreaming book for half and hour, sleep for four and a half hours, wake up to write my dreams out in as much detail as possible in my dream journal, go back to sleep for three-four hours and then write down my dreams again. Just refocusing on your dream journal and dream recall will help a lot. Try taking "lucid naps" using the WILD technique midday as well. It's the most reliable.
I am having a dry spell as well. But I write down any dream fragments I manage to remember. I keep on being optimist, and keep trying each and every night.
