Benefits of Lucid Dreaming

I was reading in a psychology book about how we can sometimes set ourselves up for failure due to there being a psychological pay-off from failure: we may experience frustration, anger, sadness etc and we unconsciously follow behaviour that leads to us feeling these emotions again. I've been thinking that this could apply to lucid dreaming. I read that you can prevent this tendency by making a large list of benefits that overpower the negative beliefs and tendencies.

I would like people to contribute here and make this a comprehensive list of the benefits of lucid dreaming. The benefits added can be sensible, silly, far out, extreme etc.

If people want to list fantasy things on their "to do" list ("using alien weapons", for example) that will be good to but I'd prefer it if the list didn't get dominated by these type of goals.

Benefit: you wake up in a good mood that often lasts all day

You can fulfill desires that cannot be served in real life?

You can eat really giant avocados that taste better than any avocado you will ever have in your entire life.

I think you need to go deeper than that. Why is it a good thing to be in a happy mood all day? Mine all the good things out of it.

What I meant was, simply saying "It'll put you in a good mood" might not be enough, or atleast you can make it more effective like "It'll put you in a good mood, which might put people around you in a better mood aswell." Being cheerful rubs off :)

You'll have an incredibly interesting experience involving a highly realistic virtual world.

You immediately get that special feeling of achievement and success. For me, that's enough to keep me motivated.
