A method for RC's that I've been playing with

I don't have much time to research this to see if it's been discussed and probably will not be able to reply or participate in the discussion, if any: Mods please feel free to delete if this has been beat to death.

The idea is that since the topics for a lot of our dreams are pulled from what has been occupying our minds that day, we can preemptively identify our dream signs for the night as the day develops. I have been doing this for the past few months and have many many lucid dreams as a result. Say you notice you are thinking about some topic a lot on a given day (hottie, project, exam, etc.). Start RCing (A real one mind you. don't just go through the motions) whenever you notice that you are thinking about that topic. See if it doesn't carry over into the night. I've noticed that it works (for me of course) about one in three times.

Give it a shot. See if it works for you.

Hmm...it sounds like a cool new twist on an old method. Instead of RC'ing when certain physical factors alert you to (walking through a door, alarm going off, etc.), you check when you notice yourself thinking of a common Dream Sign or some other common thought. I like it. I do something sort of similar...I'll randomly remember to do my "I am dreaming" mantra throughout the day, then RC immediately. Sounds like your method would compliment mine perfectly. Thank you.

Oh yeah, this would definately be effective. I've always told people that dream signs will change, and quite often. Hell, even on a daily basis sometimes. Its always good to keep your dream signs fresh and synchronized with your daily (and nightly) activities!

Sound pretty good. It reminds me of awareness, but a more simplified version of it. I can see it being applicable on people who are getting frustrated with RCing a million times a day, and don't want to go so deep with the awareness thing. I wont delete this thread, but i will move it.
