      DEILD question about visualizing!!

This question is for experienced DEILD'ERS who use visualizing their last dream as an entry point into a LD. My problem is this, every time I auto suggest that I will not move when I wake up, I wake up thinking about not moving and become too aware of my body to let go and slip back into the dream. Would it help or work better if I auto suggest that I will immediately visualize my last dream instead of focusing on not moving? I have DEILDed into lucids before but only by not caring if I moved or not. Let me know what ya think, thanks!

I have done the DEILD a fair amount of times in the past and half were on purpose and half just happened. The times that it really worked were when I started to come out of a lucid. Training yourself to keep your eyes closed when you wake up is hard. I don't think auto suggestion would work. It is never very reliable. It is just luck. They key is to focus on not moving and not opening your eyes. Maybe set a short alarm for a little before you have to get up and try to remember to stay still and just practice hearing that alarm and not opening your eyes. You just have to experiment and keep at it for a while.

Ok so now my question is this how do you go about 1 training yourself to not move without auto suggestion and 2 not think about moving when you wake so that your attention isn't focused on your body laying in your bed?

Well then, I think that's your answer. When you're there, don't overthink it, just let it happen.

Can't say I could put it better than "just let it happen." I've had one or two DEILDs where I actually moved a little - moving one leg off of the other from laying on my side - before getting successfully into the lucid dream. It's, of course, not recommended to do, but when I did it I didn't mind it, and it didn't hold me back. You'll stop yourself getting lucid if you don't go with the natural flow of your mind and body. If you need to adjust, do so. If you do, try doing a DEILD anyway - the worst that can happen is you fall back asleep.

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.
