Wahoo!! This is totally my signature your reading right now!! Chyeah!! Awesome!!
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's real. |
People have tried for longer than a month (one example is four years), and yet they still know it's real. I've was at it for months, then school started, stopped for a bit, but now am at it again. It's real, like the person above me said- science and experience have proved it. |
where did everybody go to learn how to lucid dream anyway? i saw a how to video on youtube by howcast |

Man it's real... |
...It only took me about 2 weeks to start having lucids regularly... ._. |
What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?
Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?
I Seem To Be A Little Different I Had Lds [a Few] Before I Ever Heard Of Lds Or Even Of This Site. The Only Reason Im Here Is Because I Have Had Lds On My Own [naturally] And I Just Googled Control Of Dreams Or Controllong Your Dreams And I Am Here. I Want To Have More If Possible Because They Are The Best. No Limits In There. Nothing Like Knowing You Are Dreaming And Doing All The Crazy Stuff You Cant Do In Real Life! Just Want To Know How To Do It More. If It Werent Real I Wouldent Have Sought Out This Site. |

The notion of lucid dreaming is simply an elaborate illusion created for the sole purpose of fooling you into believing that there exists yet another consciousness outside of your own to be experienced by other conscious entities. |
Took me 6 months of DJing and RCing and waking up in the middle of the night for no good reason to have my first |

Lucid Dreaming takes 2 things.. |

It's real, and really cool. I've had several lucid dreams, but never when I've actually tried it. |
I'm the same way. I've been lucid in my dreams before I knew what it was. Actually TRYING has stumped me so far, but I'm going to stick with it this time. For some of us, it just takes practice, I guess. And patience. |
You have the wrong attitude asking if its real or not, even thinking if it is or not can set you back on your journey. It has been proven and its quite easy to understand. Your brain has a logic center, to identify what is real and what is not. If you can turn this back on aka Lucid Dreaming you will be aware of your dreams. Dreaming to a non-lucid form, is like seeing your parents everyday and going to work, its all normal to you. But when you practice Lucid Dreaming, you get aware of your dreams and turn the Normal to "Omg, Im dreaming?" So its pretty simple to understand. Logic = Off when you are not lucid, Then if you make a habit of knowing you can breath in a dream with your nose pinched or see that your hands are messed up, you will take that into the dream world as a habit and be aware. Think of it as in a regular non lucid dream your body is in autopilot, then suddenly the plane is going down and it needs the pilot to steer it, thats when you become "aware" and know that you are dreaming. |
you will need persistence and self discipline to succeed. |
I play broccoli with checkers every night.
3000 posts, you should know that LaBerge was the first person able to scientifically prove it! He figured out that when you move your eyes in a LD, your real eyes make the same motions your "dream eyes" do. So he spent several nights sleeping in a lab and they hooked up some monitors to his eyes or something. When he became lucid he moved his eyes back and forth a set number or times or something like that to prove that he was conscious while asleep and in REM. |
I gotta say though |
Don't give up. I had my doubts, but as soon as I forgot about it I had my first. You can give up, or you can devote a small amount of your mind to thinking about it and reclaim the 1/3 of your life you spend sleeping. |
Eh, I don't feel that way. I mean, Laberge is just the guy who's done most of the scientific research on LD. Who else are people going to talk about when they want to talk about when they want to discuss the scientific side? Plus, his main technique, MILD, really seems to work for a LOT of people, so it makes sense his name comes up often. |
Lucid dreaming is a skill that can be learned by anyone. Like any other skill it takes time and a lot of practice to master. |
I had many lucid dreams (check my signature) and never even bought his book- all you need are the tutorials on this site and some willpower. |
