      Does having LD`s become simpler

I have had one LD that lasted about 5 seconds. I worked extremely hard to acheive it. All day i was thinking about lucid dreams and reading about them. I did a mild and then i wake back to bed. I had 3 dreams after i went back to bed and it was the third one i finally became lucid. Will I always have to try this hard just to lucid dream or will I get better after awhile?

i had my first LD after 5 attempts and 5 days of trying

The longer/harder you try, the easier it becomes. It has to get ingrained in your subconscious, but once it does, you will notice.

When I first started, I worked pretty hard to achieve lucidity. Now all I do is read the forums a bit and now I DILD once every 1 or 2 weeks or so, which is much more often than when I first started.

Yeah, at least in my experience it definitely becomes easier. It took me over a month to have my first LD, and that was only a few seconds long. Now my LDs usually last at least a half hour and sometimes over 2 hours (some of this can be attributed to the supplements I take, but still...). Keep trying; a big part of the "getting easier" process has to do with your confidence level.

It took me 6 months to have my first, you're lucky! Sounds like you have great dream recall if you're remembering 3 dreams in a night. Just keep working at it. It will get easier, but you will always have to put in an effort.

LDing is a mindset - you have to always be questioning your surroundings, questioning reality, why you're doing something, etc. The more you can stay in this critical mindset during the day, the more success you will have.

I my self have had very few and they are far between, but when I do have one each time now I feel more calm and it takes a little longer to fade. soon I will be able to control my dreams so yes it does get easier over time.

When I first starting trying to acheive LD's I always failed. I was so obsessed with the whole concept and I was dying to have one. Then I layed off a bit and after a while and I started to have plently.

In a sense it does become easier. You will start having more, and learning more about what happens in them. Also you will learn about what you can do to prolong them.
