      What to do after SP?

I haven't attempted lucid dreaming for about a year and really want to get back into it. I've had the odd random lucid dream, lasting over a few minutes, over the past few months.

All my practice has allowed me to enter sleep paralysis whenever I try, without focusing on breathing etc. It depends on how tired I am whether I fall asleep during my attempt or not, but usually I succeed.

Anyway, the problem is this. I'm in SP. It's dark. And that's it. I can't get into a dream scene. I've tried various methods including WBTB, WILD, DILD, etc. If I sit up and/or try a reality check I usually break SP. The real difficulty is imagining or conjuring a dreamscene.

Any tips or advice would be gratefully appreciated.
      Thanks!

      Hi Ouija,

For me the issue is usually trying to stay calm enough not to break out of the parallysis - but I too have been in that 'dark' stage and ended up slipping into a non-lucid.

I did, however, find it helpful to think of a familiar scene, rather than just any landscape to begin the dream. My experience is posted here, hopefuly you'll have some luck with the technique.

hii! make sure you always check other threads to see if they've asked same questions.

i made a thread about this and i dont know if you read it or not but we came up with the conclusion that its extremely hard to induce a LD when you're not in your REM cycle. So i would say get about 5 hours of sleep which is when you're in deep sleep and wake up after that and then try to LD which will be during your REM period and that will make it so much easier.

      Or do I?
