I guess the only thing that can calm you down is to understand that it's not real when you're laying there. Even if you hear voices or see creatures or what ever you see; it's not real, it's just halusinations. |

for a year i had sleep paralysis every night and i hated it. about a month ago i started getting into lucid dreaming and have been trying a bunch of techniques (havnt been lucid yet). but this morning i had sleep paralysis and i tried to hard just to relax and attain lucidity from it but i couldnt stand it for more than 5 seconds before i struggled to get out of it. |

Just remind yourself that you will be in a lucid dream if you can wait it out. |

The best way not to fear something is to understand it, and to be familiar with it. I think if you do some reading up on exactly what it is, what the hallucinations are, what parts of your body are doing what, and that it is all harmless, you will be immensely calmed and able to view it as a tool rather than a demon. (literally). |
