I think that it was HH, because you started trying to WILD, ended up in SP, then after SP, HH is induced. Maybe you did start to drift into a dream. Did you happen to look at a clock to see how long that took to occur? |

REALITY CHECK
Please fill out my survey, I'm trying to determine if there are any specific characteristics that aid in LDing. http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=72416
That was SP my friend, and a very exciting experience of it at that! Typically, yes that is how hypnagogic imagery appears, but normallly with your eyes closed. Sleep paralysis is a tad different, because during that point, your body is entirely asleep, and your brain thinks that you are unconscious. |

This sounds way more advanced than simple HH, though initially I believe that it is what you are describing. Were you paralyzed? If not, who knows if you were in SP. But, I think it was probably the start of a dream. |

When you're in SP, your "body" can feel a number of things, because your real body is paralyzed and generally can't feel anything |

I just took a nap and tried to WILD. I got to the point where I felt buzzing and tingling, but then got out of it for some reason (maybe excitement?). I also felt as if my body was trying to float upwards again. |
