      Daytime WILDs

I've started investigating daytime WILDs and would appreciate your comments and suggestions. This is what I am doing:

Using Brain Sound Studio, I created a 40 minute drone that ramps from 12Hz to 5Hz over 12 minutes, then stays at 5Hz for 28 minutes. No voice, no hypnosis or anything else, just a pulsating drone that I listen to through headphones while reclining in a comfortable chair. This produces brainwave entrainment to low theta. I do two visualizations while listening to the drone, using a sleep mask to block out the light.

The first visualization is a room (similar to VILD). This an actual room in a house that I hardly ever visit. The room contains interesting objects, which I've photographed and memorized. I visualize each object in turn and mentally repeat "I'm dreaming" with each object. The goal is to generate vivid mental images that the brain can use to construct a dream.

The second visualization is passively looking at the shapes that spontaneously form behind my closed eyelids without trying to imagine or think of anything. As soon as my mind wanders and I start to imagine or think of something, I stop imagining or thinking and go back to passively observing the shapes. The goal is to allow the brain to generate its own images without interference from the ego.

I do a separate visualization each 40 minute session. The results after just a few days are encouraging. Floating sensations, the visual field "boiling" or "seething", a bright flash of a dream scene that lasted less than a second, and some colorful HI similar to LSD hallucinations.

I never had any success WILDing at night so am trying it during the day. Any comments or suggestions?
