So I had a question, what does it take to break SP or the time up til SP? For example: will swallowing or licking of lips break such a state? If not what does it take? Im always worried about wetting my lips, but its nice simply out of comfort.

I've wondered the same thing. When I get into SP, I can feel the tingling and see the Hypnogogic Imagery and everything, but I still swallow and lick my lips. I wonder if that's breaking the SP or not but when I swallow or lick my lips the SP doesn't go away.
As I understand it, under SP proper you can generally still move your face, eyes fingers and toes.
Hmm, yea im going to look into that. Anyone else have the problem of not being able to focus when counting? Im getting worse i think :(.
I really have troubles while counting. I will be at like 167 then out of nowhere I will be up to 200! I start to think about something else and I am not comprehending that I am counting.
Thats not actually a bad thing. It means your minds drifting. Your being interupted by random thoughts and/or images as you drift deeper into dream mode.
If you were 100% alert, you wouldn't be able to WILD.
You don't need to be 100% alert, you just want a small bit of your mind remaining conscious and aware.
There is a reason why it is called Paralysis. I mean you cannot move any part of your body beside what people call "twin body". It happens so fast and you have to think fast or get out fast and enter in a dream, let alone counting to 200. The thing what you are talking about is not SP, it is just the numbness of your body while you are sleeping. Yes, you can't feel your body but you are still able to move them. SP is different. At least thats my thought from my personal expriences :)
That helps a ton! I always thought that I was supposed to keep my mind on counting and nothing else. I will let my mind drift a little more next time.
Yea thats fantastic :D. Il let my mind drift a bit too. Unfortunately, its the random junk that my mind drifts to that loses my attention and put me to sleep (in a bad way).
Theres a balance. I think your supposed to let it drift, but always be aware that the random thoughts and images are random, without spending too much effort thinking about it. Hard to describe.
Your looking for a "passive awareness".
Interesting. I'm gonna have to try that next time I try to WILD.
Yeah I'm going to be WILD'ing tonight (succesfully, you can do it subconscious!) and I'll be sure to try out some of the things listed here.
Unfourtunately, it seems like whenever I let my mind wander, I always lose track of the numbers I'm counting or have to itch or something else.
Hopefully it'll be better tonight:)
Why not try MILDs and DILDs first.
They are easier and you will not be so discouraged or put out.
Just get up an hour earlier, stay up for an hour reading Lucidity stuff and go back to bed,
Set your alarm for 90 mins of sleep before you go back to sleep.
then saying what you want to dream about and "I will RC in my dreams".
You must say this in your head till asleep.
Wake up and record your dreams.
Do this to the letter and see how it goes.
I was doing all the heavy tech stuff and never got anywhere.
Did this this morning and had 3 linked lucids. (2 times spinning to come back into it).
PS: Always RC when you wake up...I did and it was a false awakening.
I'm going to attempt a WBTB MILD, as I hear these are easier.
So, bedtime until 3AM, then I'll report back in :)
Well if you get up normally at 4am that's fine.
If you get up normally at 7am say, get up at 6am, do my suggestions above, and go back to bed at 7am and sleep till 8.30am.
Other variations have been tested by Stephen LaBerge etc and this has been proven to be the optimum.

Look at the 3 different times tried.
Interesting, I'm gonna try this too
