I am confused about reality checks?

Ok so I have heard alot about reality checks and I am kinda confused on how and when to do them? Here is what I have heard: ~ You do them as many times a day as you can ~ You do two every hour ~ YOu do them when You see something weird ~ Dream signs I have decided since I am always cheated by a false lucid dream thats a fake and I want a real one. also when i had a facke one it waslike someone was stealing it from me and did things i would never do. . .i kisseed three boys. . .i would never do that!. . .though i can't argue with it. . . but do you do stuff you would never do in real life in false lucids?
