The relationship of physical body conditions with dreams

This has happened to me twice to date. My favorite RC is the one where you pinch your nose closed and try to breathe. What happens is that in a dream I use this rc, but I doubt that it worked because its hard to breathe with my nose covered. I became lucid by trying another rc after that one. When I woke up, though, I had a stuffy nose.

I think that having my nose clogged while I was sleeping may have caused the faulty nose rc's. This has lead me to wonder about the extent of the effects of physical conditions one may have at the moment of dreaming with the dream itself. Anyone know anything about this?

If your physical condition can easily pass into your dreams, try taking advantage of it. Maybe you could set up some physical hints to remind yourself you are dreaming?

Yeah, something like that. What was that tutorial a while back where the person suggested sleeping with a boot on, or holding a ball in your hand?

I wonder if an object like the boot or a ball could pass into your dreams... I think the stuffy nose thing happenned because it was a condition "inside" my body. I think that a boot will not really translate. In most of my dreams I am wearing clothes, but I sleep in boxers. I think that what you are wearing will probably not have any effect, but I will try by wearing a glove tonight and see if anything cool happens!
