Autosuggestion has been pretty good to me in the past, inconsistent as it may be, most of my lucids have been a product of it in some way. Before you go to bed set your intentions on becoming lucid, KNOW that it is going to work. My favorite thing to say to myself repeatedly is, "the next time im dreaming, I will realize that im Dreaming"

other ones are, "I AM a lucid dreamer" "i am aware in my dreams" "i will have a lucid dream"

i find it helps to say it in a relaxed way, almost like its a yawn, it makes you really relaxed and tired. The main thing is to have this be the last thing you think about before you go to bed. It is a good idea to visualize doing reality checks in dreams as you do this. Also if you have any Brief Awakenings, do this again.
