one thing that im trying right now is only rc'ing in 2 situations |

one day i took a moment to tell myself that i was dreaming. i was able to convince myself for a moment with my selective enviorment tip for reality checks (my geometery class was my chosen enviorment) and after class, i drove home and took part of that situation to tell myself that i was dreaming and just went on part of the day pretending that what ever i was doing was just a dream. |

yeah i kinda thought bout it but never really put my mind to it. thanks |

I've only recently started doing reality checks yesterday. Every so often I ask myself If I am dreaming, which is an obvious no...but, when I do answer I take careful observations of my surroundings and note anything out of the ordinary and confirm that I am not in the dream state. |

My advice to you is to stop this way of thinking. It is damaging to your perception, keep this up and you'll find yourself confused and unable to think properly because a large part of your attention will be "you are dreaming and what would you do now that you are dreaming" instead of being in reality. It has happened to me and I had a hard time undoing what I did, and I had no LDs from it either. |

Yea what imj said. |

lol oh sh*t. cus LaBerge states in his book (which was published in like 1985), that someone said that you can question your conciousness or reality atleast 5-10x a day for 3 weeks |

I think that is not a good idea. Give me a second to tell you why. As you said yourself, in dreams you don't get lucid, because you're accepting crazy stuff. So when you're accepting it, that stuff does not seem crazy to you at all. Remember, you're not lucid yet - if it doesn't seem crazy or strange to you, you won't make an RC and so you won't become lucid. Therefore your method is inefficient. |
