      WILD Diary

      Hello, guys.

      Lately I have really gotten interested in WILDing. I can DILD pretty well, if I try, but I have never WILDed for purpose. So now Iīm on a mission. A lucid mission. To master WILD.
      And cuz of that, I created this "WILD Diary". It helps me keep record of my success and things I notice during the attempts. But it also serves as my big WILD topic. I ask questions here, and Iīd like you to comment my attempts. So if you think Iīm not on the right track in something, just say it, Iīd appreciate that. I think this is on the right area.. Or so I hope.

      The tech Iīm using: BillyBobīs basic tech. Take an anchor and fall asleep.

      So, here I go:

      Day 1
      I went to sleep at 03:30, woke up at 7:00
      After I woke up, I went to sip some water and went to the toilet. It took 8min. When I went back to bed, I couldnīt sleep, so that screwed my WILD. I woke up again at 9:00 but I dontīt remember what happened then.
      BUT in the late morning, when I was thinking about random things, I noticed that my right leg felt weird. I couldnīt move it. It was having sleep paralysis! I always anchored myself to the beep sound in my head and in my breathing, but I kept losing it.

      GOod point. You could open a topic in journal section of this forums. It would stay in one place. I have some kind of WILD journal too. And it really helps, to compare the thoughts from two weeks ago with actuall thoughts.

      . Actually thats the purpose of dream journal. Why dont you just write your results in dream journal?

      Hmm. Well, this really isnīt a dream diary, but a tech training diary.. But you could be right. Well, if the mods see it fit, theyīll move this topic to the DJ section.

      Day 2 (posted wrong day earlier )
      I went to sleep at 03:30, woke up at 7:00
      Yesterday I was up too long. So now I decided that I´d rather stay in the bed and continue sleeping at once. It took me about 1min to get myself "on the surface". Then I went to sleep. But I didn´t do the pain anchor. Damn.

      The pain anchor I´m using now is like this: I put my palm between the bed and the wall... I think I just took it away at some point.

      Tomorrow I´ll succeed! You´ll see!

      Day 3
      I went to sleep at 3:30 but now I woke up at 8:00.
      Adding just a little bit time to my pre-WILD sleep made me hit the REM period better...
      So after I woke up, I gathered myself for a moment with counting and reality checks. About 40 seconds after I turned in my bed (head to where the feet usually are) and I stucked my thumb between the mattress and the wooden part of the bed. And now is the VERY interesting part! Here is all I can remember:

      I looked at my clock. It said 8:30 or something. Then I went to WILD again. But I checked the clock again. Now it said 10:15!! So my question is...
      Was that the "Black Hole Effect"? ("Black Hole Effect: When you try to WILD or something like that, you fall asleep for hours without noticing it."
      Or was I maybe IN a dream??


      Now my other question: How can I keep the damn anchor working? (not getting my hand out of the painful position)?

      Congrats!!! I've yet to WILD, I've only tried once... I think I need to get some more lucid dreams under my belt before I attempt again.

      Anyway, that's awesome! I'm happy for you!

      Okay, so my attitude got a bit damaged in the night... So no success...
      The REAL success will come in THIS WEEKEND!!! For I will dedicate this weekend to the practice of WILD. I will W.I.L.D!!!
      Whatīs my plan, you ask? (or dont ask, but iīll tell it anyway )

      MY PLAN:

      Before:
      In the evening I will decide to stay conscious when drifting to sleep, and I will motivate myself.

      1. I will wake up after about 4.7h of sleep. I will use a cell phone wrapped in a sock to get myself just enough up.
      2. I will wake up just the right part of my brain. I will use special exercises after I have woken up to get it working...
      3. I will go to sleep at my couch, which is not so nice, but it should keep my mind more aware that way. It will also not be the normal place for sleeping for me, so that should keep my mind more aware too.
      4. I will relax.. I dont really know how yet, but thereīs no need to know.
      5. I will passively (though a bit actively too) notice my breathing, as I drift off to sleep.

      After:
      If I succeed, I will eat some great food. If I will fail, I will punish myself with a cold shower.

      And I will try as many times as possible this in the night and the morning. So Iīll basicly wake up, and set the clock about 1h 10min forward...

      I will not try. I will succeed.

      YES!! YES!! THANK GOD I TOOK A NAP!!

      So this is what happeded:
      I dont know if this was a dream. I was passing a bunch of my friends at school. (I was just trying to kame my way thru the group). Then a friend of mine grabbed my leg. Then he took his hand upper and upper (at this point I was blind). Then I felt as he grabbed my balls (ouch!!) he squeesed them. I was like "OUCH" (thinking) but as I tried to move my hand for help over there, I understood I could not move it! Instanty I realized, that I was in sleep paralysis. I was just.. Unimaginably happy. Hereīs exacly what happened:

      I heard these "BEEEEEEEEP" sounds. Sometimes they were stronger, some times non-existant. I also saw strong hypnagogia. I saw shapes crafted of light!! I just can not recall much else anymore but this:
      I noticed that my eyes were getting open. Every time they did, I tried to close them and succeeded. I was eagerly waiting to enter the dream, cuz I was afraid of the feeling of no body and at the same time feeling the horror for being unable to move it. BUT now I understant that I wasnīt sleeping in the floor but in my bed, so the view that I saw.. It was my dream..

      So what happened after that? Well, I woke up (FA). I counted my fingers. I saw the SHAPE of five fingers, but counted 6 fingers. I decided to do a test with a lightswich. It was working normally. So I went out of my room in to the lobby to tell my parents about how I "almost" entered a WILD. But as I went there, I woke up for real. When I did, I still was in SP, hearing BEEEEEP and so on. But it faded and I came to write this.

      This does it!! I SHALL EAT HARD, FOR TONIGHT, I DINE, IN A LD!! (300)

      Maybe you should try a different tech? From what it sounds like, this one isn't working for you.
