This time I remembered what I should do, but no success. I did not fall asleep fast enough.

I was lying* in my bed. I closed my eyes, and started to do some kind of relaxing. But then I faced a problem: I felt, that I would not fall asleep fast enough? When would I set the pain anchor? So failure.

Need to solve that for tonight.

*Is it lying or laying or lieing or wtf

Okay, so I did some good progression.

The next night I said that, I was aware of what I was doing, but failed, and failed the second night too.

At this post, let me state one thing:
I do not consider my earlier success as a succesfull WILD. Cuz it was more like a DILD. I want to have a pure WILD

      And btw,

      IīLL DO IT TONIGHT!!!

      I just wanna cry...

I just wanna WILD so much, I could eat a brick. But I have a serious problem:
Iīve only got one shot in my whole day, and that is at the night after waking up, when I cant think, and usually cant get back to sleep.

I would like to nap, but itīs pretty hard for me. Any suggestions?
Should I eat some special food before napping?
Just give me any advice you got. And make it practical

I can't help you much with your napping problem (I can't nap either), but If you do eat a brick, could you upload a picture of it?
      The music is always playing...

Finally, some GREAT progression. I didnīt get a WILD, but this is what happened:

I woke up. I had been sleeping for >5 hours now, which I found to be a better time. I took some items to my lobby, and then went to the bathroom. I came back to lobby, and I layed* down, and started to..... Hmm.... Yes, I remember taking the breathing anchor, and relaxing, I think... I dont really recall it so good. HEY!! Cuz I dont recall that so good, does it mean I was up for too short time?

Well, to the point. What was the progression part? Well, this time I almost did the right things. But not quite. Gotta be more accurate tonight.

      PLAN FOR TONIGHT

      1. Sleep for 5 hours
      2. Wake up with a very quiet alarm clock (doesnīt not jolt me too awake), but make it hard to be shut down.
      3. Eat a LOT of bread slices, with lots of cheese and egg white on them. Then drink some VERY strong camomilla tee. (all to get myself sleepy and relaxed)
      4. Go to a very warm shower. (to get myself alert without getting too awake, and to relax)
      5. Eat a cookie (to get myself even more sleepy)
      6. Go back to bed, but turn around so my head is at the other end of the bed. (to make myself a little more alert)
      ____________________________________
      6. Relax.
I will listen to a record that makes me very relaxed. The record contains just some talking.

      7. Stay conscious
I will keep my thoughts together. I will exhale and think "Iīm dreaming" ("Näen unta" in my language) When I inhale, I think a number.

After that, Iīll just have to see what happens. The transition is just too variating to plan.

      This sucks...
I woke up, ate some bread and a cookie, went to the bathroom, then went back to bed, and vóila, failure. I dont know what happened. I think I awoke too much....

I already asked these questions on another thread, but just to get some answers, Iīll ask em here too:

      1. How can I be tired enough to WILD? I wake up normally after 4,8h of sleep to do it. I never find the balance. If Iīm too tired, Iīll fall unconscious. If Iīm too awake, Iīll never get to sleep. And this leads to another question...
      2. When do I start doing the relaxation and anchoring? Right after I have gone back to bed?
      3. What is the core purpose for relaxation? Is it to make yourself feel numb? Is it to make yourself calm down? I have never gotten the idea.
      4. How the heck should I anchor? Do I count "1, Iīm dreaming" and so on?
      5. How do I WILD when napping?

      OMG!!

      I just remembered this:
I stopped WILDing, so I could go to school. I got up, and then I looked at my wall. It was full of these moving "holes"!! I touched the wall, cuz I was wondering, if I was dreaming. I did a RC I think, and tried the wall with my hand. Nothing special, I was awake, I though...

But now I realize!! I dont have a white wall by my bed!! I was either dreaming, or my memory has holes, and I had gone to see another wall besides the one by my bed.

But I dont really think so... You see, these "holes".. I mean more tiny little bumps. I personally think, it was just cuz of the darkness....

I admit it: I am a very stupid person in the mornings. Last night I tried to wake up, put my hand to a painful posture and go back to sleep. I did it all right, but one thing was missing. I hadnīt put my hand to the posture. DAMN! I think I fell asleep when I was staring at the darkness right before I was supposted to set the pain anchor..

But itīs weekend again! And this weekend Iīll succeed!!!

Hmm... I had an interesting expirience just 3 hours ago.

I had fallen asleep at about 6pm. When my dad woke me up at 9pm, I was pretty much half dreaming, half awake. I felt, as I could easily get into the dream again.... Dont know how to describe it... Well, that gives me expirience to the transation phase of WILD..

Now I'm no expert on WILDing but I'll answer these questions based upon what I believe to work. I'm only sure three of my WILDs were actually WILDs, The others could probably be argued as something else.

      1. I find being too awake helps me more than being too tired. It is annoying that it takes forever to fall back asleep (especially because you are trying to stay awake at the same time) but that's better than not even getting a chance to try because you just fall right asleep.
      2. I start the anchoring right away.
      3. I'm not sure. I don't do this myself. If I had to guess it would be to clear your mind and maybe help you fall asleep faster?
      4. I've tried the counting thing, but I feel that keeps me too awake. I tend to try to focus on nothing. As soon as I find myself thinking of something I will immediately stop it. After a bit this gets really hard to do. My mind just seems to wander. I'm sort of lucky in the sense that I have a natural anchor. When I try to sleep on my back, after a while it becomes uncomfortable. Many times this brings back awareness to me if I've lost it. At this point I'm usually really close to falling asleep anyway, so it's easier to WILD from there.
      5. Never tried that.

Take my answers with a grain of salt. I'm still trying to figure this all out too. These are just my observations.

Hey! Why did my last post change to a copy of my earlier post? Time for a RC... Hmm... Not dreaming.. Anyway

Tomorrow morning I will succeed! And this time I mean it! And why will I succeed tonight? Well, now I´m doing it by the book. I will wake up, go to a couch, relax and WILD!!

Just wondering, how to anchor myself too at the time I´m relaxing..

No success last night. I woke up just before the alarm clock, cuz I had a terrifying nightmare. It was hard to start to WILD when I was still afraid.. Well, I convinced myself to WILD...

...and after a minute I opened my eyes cuz my mom was at the door saying that itīs time for school.. DAMN!! I had a black hole effect...

So tonight itīs gonna be pretty much the same, but now I will remember to tell myself "1, Iīm dreaming, 2, Iīm dreaming" and so on. Or should I use an anchor... Well, Iīll think that later, but tonight I will succeed!

Okay, so the success was staring me in the face but I think my prefrontal cortex had shut down, in other words, I had become stupid. So I kinda was afraid of the black hole effect, and tried to not to fall asleep. Soon I was looking at three holes on the ground (hypnagogia) from time to time someone came up from one of them. I just though "not my mother, not my mother" and didnīt realize it was hypnagogia... Damn...

      But tonight I will succeed!!!

Now I´m gonna nap WILD for real...

      EDIT: RESULTS

So after I posted the message before the EDIT mark, I went to youtube. I was watching some videos, when suddenly the video player of youtube changed a bit. It went wide. I dont know why, but anyway. After that I fell asleep. Then I woke up. I watched my computer screen. All normal. But now I wanted to get the video player back to normal. I pressed the right mouse button, went to "settings" and did some settings. Well, the video player went nuts..

So, you got it? I had not really woken up after watching youtube, it was a FA... Gotta be more careful...

      I have the keys.

I know what is the probem. It is that I either dont fall asleep at all or fall unconscious. But now I know all the answers.... This is what I will do:

I will wake up. Then I will calculate math problems at a very fast rate in my head. But I will not move at all, besides hitting the alarm clock. I will not turn the light on or anything, it´ll be as dark as possible. This way I will get my brain working without getting rid of being tired.

After that I will put my hand into a slightly painful position, and I will passively and slightly actively notice the feeling... That is it! It is so simple! No more weird mumbo jumbo about WILD, no advanced tech, nothing, just simply:

Wake up, stare at the ceiling at dark, do calculations.
Then set the anchor, and do some simple calculations as drifting to sleep.

I have the same problem: it's very hard for me to fall asleep when WILDing.

There is a point when you are so sleepy that you know if you close your eyes you will fall asleep instantly. When WILDing, you have to reach that point without lost the consciousness. It's hard for me to reach that point, since I'm not very good at meditation and relaxation, although I'm getting better slowly.

What I did is this: I recorded an mp3 file with an alarm that goes off every 5 min. But this alarm only last 2 seconds, just enough for wake me up. So when I can't WILD I just play this mp3, and I go to sleep, without doing anchor's, math problems, counting, etc, nothing. That stuff prevents me from falling asleep, I just focus my mind so much. But the mp3 wake me up when I'm in that point when you know you will fall asleep instantly, or when I'm already dreaming. Either way you will fell so fucking groggy that you'll want to close your eyes and sleep. This is the moment when I count or do whatever anchor, just for not lost the consciousness, but like you are so sleepy, in less that a minute you will be inside a LD. No more 30 minutes of reverse blinking. I just tried this the past 3 nights and it worked for me all nights.

You could try also falling asleep with some object, or coins in your hand. When you fall asleep the object will drop from your hand and the sound hitting the floor will wake you up. If you feel you are not sleepy enough the first time, do it two o three times more. I guarantee you that this works like a charm. Try it if you have problems with WILD.

      Hope this help you man!

No coin tech results and no nighttime results.

What happened in the night: I woke up (cell phone). Then I did some crazy crap, I can´t remember, but I stayed in bed. Hmm.. now that I think about it, I can´t remember just about anything. All I know is I failed.

Here´s my real problem: At the time I´m trying to actually WILD, I don´t do it properly. In the day I think about WILDing, plan my next night, write it here.. But then when it´s time to WILD I just don´t do it right...

Now it´s time to set some stakes:
If I fail tonight, I will punish myself with a really cold shower....
