Unhappy Cannot go back to sleep after failed WILD

I simply can't fall asleep after I have attempted almost any technique that involves WBTB.

Wake up for an hour/MILD: Can't go to sleep
Wake up for 30 min./MILD: Can't go to sleep
Wake up for 3 min./WILD: Definitely can't sleep for hours

Even if I decide to give up and drift off to sleep, I keep wanting to try getting to sleep paralysis again or even if I decide NOT doing any technique and just sleeping, no dice.

I sleep at 11pm and wake up at around 5:00am to WBTB either:

30-60 mins. reading lucid material to MILD

      or

      3 -5 min. to WILD

Then I wake up at 7:30 to go to work.

What should I do? Im getting all kinds of headaches from not sleeping well for 3 days. I'm gonna try not doing anything at least for today just to catch up with my rest. But I want to keep trying without so much trouble.

After failing a MILD/WILD, should I drink warm milk? Hot tea? What do you recommend? A man's gotta sleep!

I have the same problem if I sleep for too long before my WBTB. Try waking up after only 3 or so hours of sleep. It is not the conventional advice you always hear, but it works for some people (i.e. Me )

Have you tried L-theanine? I usually add it to my stack when I take stimulants (yohimbe, galantamine, ext.) so I can fall back to sleep.

Thanks for the tip. I've considered this but I think I'll try it on a weekend so if i have trouble going back to sleep, I'll have more time to sleep more than 3 hours!

The things that got me excited to try LDing again was the fact that I'm much more disciplined now to try WBTB every day. But seeing the results, I'm gonna have to find something to remedy the insomnia so I can keep trying. If not, my waking life is gonna suck.

I don't know if I want to take supplements yet. I took B-Complex yesterday, which has some B6, B5, and Choline. I guess i want to try to do it naturally at first. At least milk has some tryptophan...
