Help meeee
I am pretty new to this lucid stuff, i discovered lucid dreaming from my brother and i was fascinated by this. I did a lot of research to learn more about it and came to this website.
But the problem is, i try to lucid every night, i try to DILD and MILD cause WILD seems to difficult and since i have school, i dont want it to make me tired during school. I remember at least 1 dream a night, but don't keep a journal because im to lazy and have to go to school and am way to tired from studying. My dreams seem very vivid and clear but no matter how hard i try i just can't realize that it's a dream, everything seems so real and i just can't figure it out. It really feels like i am there , it feels like im lucid without control. I once had a dream about playing recreational basketball, it REALLY felt like i was there but i just couldn't realize i was in a dream, I then woke up from my friend tackling me in my dream.
Does anyone have any helpful tips to how i can get lucid and how i can tell its a dream?

What works for me to help me realize its a dream is by looking at my fingers, sometimes there's more than 5, for a lot of people there fingers look different. And just remember the last thing you probably did before sleeping and dreaming is getting in bed. You can also try pushing one of your fingers through your hand many people including myself have been successful at doing this. These are called reality checks. I hope these work for you, when i remember to look at my hands personally i always have more than 5 fingers and 2 fingers are always bent to the side. I just wish there was a way that people can remember to do reality checks in dreams, most of the times i forget to do these checks because of what the dreams are about i'm almost always too busy. But if there's nothing to do in a dream then i can remember to look at my hands and realize that i'm dreaming. I always get lucid when i look at my hands because they always look different.
