yes im back with more annoying questions

First i got to say sorry for keep bothing you guy's with these annoying question's about mental imagery.But i try and try and i just cant get it but one good thing from practicing my memory has improved alot.Now i can see image's and place's clear in my thought's in detail but as for seeing them as if i were actually looking at them in front of me no it just darkness. It's like the best i can explain it's like their too far back if that make any sense.I have heard some people say find the spot where the image is located in your mind and focus your attention there.That dont work lol i dont where thier coming from i just know there there.This is just to hard i hear some people say it's all about feeling's but if im looking at a picture i would like to see with my eye's closed there is no feeling's there i just wanna see with my eye's closed thats all.But anyway now im to the point where i can see and create image's and see them clear in thought's but it's like there just too far back.So i cant see them if i were actually looking at them thats the problem im having . Any advice i know i am so close to giving this up it's just to hard.Oh yeah one more thing when people do see mental imagery are they in a different state of mind like sorta meditation or reaching some sort of zone ?

You are expecting to see images appear in front of you when you close your eyes. It's hard to explain the way they appear...best way to know is to do it when you are awaken up from sleep. You wake yourself up during sleep and in that sleepy groggy state..it's very easy to 'see' images.

Thank's imj fo the reply:) I know what you mean when i try taking a nap somtime's i try focusing on a cetain image.But lol i just lose it then my mind just start coming up with random image's.Yeah i can see image's when im close to sleep.And they appear to come from somewhere behind my head i know it dont make any sense.:P But people have me thinking that it's possible to do visualization anytime at will.Im gonna try that focusing on where they appear before sleep and see what happen's;)

The images are actually daydreams. I think it feels like from the back because that's where the visual cortex is and your 'squeezing' images out of it or rather into it from the brain itself....:P. It's hard to control the images...the method of WILD discourages controlling from what I remember, instead you should let it freeform into anything. Important thing is to be aware that you are still in bed and it will hopefully go into dream state with you still aware of that.

Ok so the visual cortex is where image's can be seen so i should try focusing in that area when visualing.But i wondering how would you go about doing so do you imagine a picture in that area ? And just focus all your attention there and then it would start to come in clear ?

Well first i should say what others say -

1 - Visualize and see with your mind NOT your eyes.

SO -> any visualization that takes place does not use the body in any way, no

Movement or, any
sensory imput (this includes control over eyes and breathing and other stuff)

Now, you might already know that, but its just a reminder.

When you visualize, you need to capture the moment and setting.
and most importantly, where you are in the setting, and how you react to it.

Visualizing a setting can paint a good picture in your head, but it does not include you in it.

A true visualization is noticing your feet placement on the sidewalk, or how you can touch the trees, or feel the breeze, or notice that you have walked passed a house. Including yourself in the visual will solve the problem of being "far away," if that's what you mean.

I never knew that about being completly still and no eye movement.So ive been doing it wrong all this time:P So basicaly visualization is trying to forget about your body. And use all your sense's with the scene you created in your mind. But i was just wondering is it the more emotion's you put in a thought the more clearer it become? Thanks a dreamer :)
