I've had success with this technique so far, and today proved the same. I woke up at 4:30 AM and then slept at around 7 AM. During this period, I researched the FILD tutorial by Hargarts and followed the steps. I think what also helped me today was listening to music that reminded me of a dream I want to have. I was listening to the Eternal Sunshine soundtrack and picturing myself walking along the shore of an ocean, exactly like the one Clementine walked along in her orange sweater. If you're the type of person who always has a song in your head, I recommend listening to music that reminds you of LDing. Right before I fell asleep, I kept thinking of a song I was listening to from the soundtrack while moving my fingers for a FILD. It only took a couple minutes for me to go into a LD and the great thing was, I went directly into it with barely a lapse of consciousness. Even though it wasn't the ocean dream I wanted, it was still a LD. I like FILD because it is really simple to understand and implement (for me at least). I haven't had any success with WILD- I've been close, but it is too difficult for me. So if WILD is giving you trouble, I'd recommend trying FILD with WBTB.
