I didn't quite think like I would when in real life. For instance I saw my best friend in my dream and I shook him and said, "your dreaming, wake up!" Now, when I woke up I thought, "that was stupid, he was my dream character, he wasn't dreaming he was just a part of my imagination." However, seeing the detail of everything and "feeling" the texture and solidity of objects in the dreamscape were just as real as in waking life. My vision was blurry in the dream just like in real life and I thought, I'm dreaming I should have perfect vision and my vision suddenly became much better. I think that how you act in real life and what you are use to in real life carries over into the dreamscape.
I would equate a normal dream to being like a zombie, you have no control over what you do, you just do. You could walk on water and it would not make you question what was going on (unlike in real life). In my Lucid Dream I was more aware of my surroundings, but still in a "drunken" state. I was aware, but some of my thoughts and actions were not like they would have been in real life. I think, however, that I should have focused more on stabilizing the dream. The only thing that I did was focus on the detail of the dreamscape, I never rubbed my hands together or started spinning. I just observed. It seems however, that when in a lucid dream my priorities are different than they would be in real life. For instance, I had a burning desire to see my ex-girlfriend. It never occured to me that I could do other things more interesting in my lucid dream. I was just sooooo focused on that one goal. I never stopped to just think.
