(fail, again) Fourth, they put a giant hose in her leg and Im wondering why they would be doing that but didn't really think it all that unusual. (big fail). The only thing I questioned was that I couldn't bill the insurance for a doctor visit from a dream, but that seemed totally normal, too. Then there was the giant check that I miraculously pulled out of my little bag, lol. I guess I suck at reality checking thus far. Oh, well, just a n00b, I'll keep trying.
Well, just because you do a reality check doesn't necessarily mean that you will become lucid either! Sometimes they fail, or they are just a habit and a positive RC just won't cue you anyways. But you are definitely on the right track realizing how ridiculous the dreams can be and noting that to yourself. Just get into the habit of RCing whenever you find yourself in situations that are odd, or awkward, or whatever. In RL, ask yourself as often as possible if everything is logical. Your dream actually seems to have proceeded in a very logical manner, with only a few key things distinguishing them from reality. Learn to RC when things don't make sense (and every time you see a clock, writing, think or speak of dreams, think the word 'lucid', wake up, use a light switch, etc. just to get into the habit), and you'll be going lucid in no time!
