      open eyes during wild

I was attempting to wild and got to the point where random faces were appearing and talking rubbish to me (probably just me that gets this)
Anyway I heard a noise and opened my eyes and my room was really blurry, I was still paralized and still hearing talking and windy noises but I could see but not very clearly, then my room started spinning and things were moving about and jumping at me.
I closed my eyes, then woke up and my vision was back to normal.
anyone else expierienced anything like this? was it realy my room or a dream? I dont think it was a dream becasue it seemed very real, plus I was paralized and couldnt move.

I have had hypnogogic images appear while my eyes were open. In fact, a lot of times in the past it's happened before I have even gone to sleep at night. It has stopped now that I'm older, but during my young and teenage years, I used to hallucinate a lot of freaky stuff in the dark, which I'm sure was some kind of night terror or something. It's basically the same as sleep paralysis except with open eyes. In most cases for me, I wasn't even paralysed. One time I remember, I was maybe 17, and I saw a spider in the corner of my room. I sat bolt upright and, still seeing it, I moved away. Then I turned around and it was gone. Another time there was a floating head of a zombie or something. I swatted at it with my hands and it disappeared before my eyes. Bizarre stuff. So you probably weren't asleep, but in a way you were dreaming - just with what you could see with your open eyes as a base for the dream.

Like LobbyDonut said, you were awake, but dreaming. Such hallucinations are common during sleep paralysis. It can be a really creepy experience, but it's completely harmless. And now you know where the myths about incubus/succubus and the like come from.

So what do you mean random faces were appearing? you were just visualising them without really trying to?

When you see the room around you during SP are your eyes open? I don't know if my eyes are open or not since I can't see myself but I certainly see whatever surroundings I'm in exactly as they are in reality with the addition of whatever hallucinations. I also think I may have opened my eyes during and LD once when I was looking for a DC.

Yea whenever I wild I sometimes hear random voices then start to see people asking me things and talking to me like they're trying to start a conversation or somthing, but they dont make any sense at all.

I once had a lucid dream and I started to wake up. I actually opened my physical eyes before completely waking up and I could see both dream images and real images. Btw, I managed to get back into the LD.

I have done a similar thing with one eye in each world thing as well. My very first WILD attempt I was quite amused to realize at one point that one of my eyes were quite open. I sleep in complete darkness, and I have seen HI with my eyes open. Also sometimes when we blur the line between waking and dreaming such as with WILD, it can become momentarily difficult to distinguish between the two and they can mix together. I've been lucid in a dream and quite aware of my hands in the real world, or my breathing etc. Normally that's a sign for me that time is about to be up.

I experienced it before. Last time, when I get SP, I can hear people laughing next to me. I was very scared because there were two voices, male and female laught very loud, scolding me and asking me to 'give up'.
I used to have SP at the age of 7 till 17.
As For my experience, while awake before I get into SP, I can feel the weird feeling like wave sound entering my mind. I always try to wake up before the wave sound reach my head because i know the thing will scare me to death. When the wave reach me, I will get into SP and a loud buzzling noise can be heard inside my head, Vibrate in full latency until my teeth also shaking. Normally about few seconds before the thing attacks me, I will straight away open my eyes and get out from bed.
Got one time I was very tired, the thing attacked me again, I straight away open my eyes; I thought I managed to escape from it, but I was too late. The feeling was a bit strange, and my vision was very blurred, my view is like when you use a binocular to look at something. I still managed to see my cupboard in front of me. At that moment, I felt someone's present and turned my head to look at it, I saw a tall creature with a black robe standing on my bed facing his face at me. I really could not explain how scared I was at that time. I Screamed as Loud as I could but there was no voice came out from my mouth; then I woke up from the same bed.
Last time I didn't know it was SP. Now I am not scared anymore

I used to get this a lot when I was little. It was a little phase I had where the same thing would happen every night.
I would open my eyes and there would be a screeching high pitched noise and everything would speed up. Sound would lose it's sharpness and be a muffle, I would also hear a repetitive thump like it was my heart or something.
Bright, flashing, dull colours would appear in the background and then mimicking faces would pop up right in front of mine like a jack-in-a-box, their expressions on there faces were like they were making fun of me.

You can imagine how this scared the shit out of me, I used to cry myself to sleep.

I may have opened my eyes during an LD this morning. I could see the room around me and I was wondering why I was seeing my room from a lying-down perspective in my dream and concluded that I must have my eyes open. I have no way of knowing if my eyes were open for sure but I was definitely still asleep. If I did have my eyes open, I closed them after a few seconds and continued to dream.
